What are some of the best urban legends you've heard of over the years?

 

One of the UL I've always found interesting is the "vanishing hitchhiker" one. Basically, in this one a driver picks up a hitchhiker on the street and drives them to their place of residence. They drop them off and the next day the driver finds something the hitchhiker forgot. 

So when the driver goes to give it back, a person at the house tells them that the hitchhiker has been dead for a certain amount of time.

 

Another classic one is where a person meets somebody at a hotel and gets drugged then wakes up the next morning in a tub of ice with an organ missing.

I'm a big fan of creepy stuff like this.

The Midnight one is creepy.

 

There's another one that changes depending  on who you ask, it's the "Lover's lane" one. Pretty much a couple is at a lover's lane, parked and they hear over the radio that a maniac is on the loose. They end up driving away real quick and when they get back to their garage they see a hook punctured in the door.

 

The "unhappy" version of the story has the guy going out to take a leak and the lady hearing something hit the car. She goes outside and sees his body on top of the car.
