Now I look back, we are losing people each day.

I honestly wonder why I still hang around somedays. Besids the AoT thread that people don't go to often there really isn't much here I'm intested in talking about anymore, and most people don't seem intersted in talking about it. If I didn't like you guys and gals I wouldn't be here. Still over all I'm rather tired of dealing with the remaining Naruto fandom, and their insecurities.

Well, it's business as usual with Kishimoto's latest interview.  He has definitely lost all credibility now.

It's been almost a year since the ending, and Kishimoto is trying to say that he's "unaware" about the controversy with the ending pairings?  Ever since the ending came out, he's been having to answer questions about how they happened!

He still can't lie consistently:

  • NaruHina was planned "a few months before the end".  NaruSaku was originally planned, but then he "felt sorry for Hinata".
  • NaruHina was planned "since the beginning", and NaruSaku was always a "red herring".
  • Now NaruHina was planned "since the middle of the manga."

Like Sparda3g said, if Kishimoto had planned for Naruto and Hinata, why did he not write their development into the story?  I would have actually accepted the ending, if the story and character development had been laid for it in the first place.  Then it would have made sense, at least.

But Kishimoto did not even bother to do that.  Instead, he just butchered the story and the characters.  That is why so many fans are so angry and disappointed with him.

Even some NaruHina and SasuSaku fans are disappointed with him.  The other day, I came across a well-written blog post by a NaruHina fan:  http://358memories.t...-nh-perspective

There are perfectly legitimate concerns with the story and character development, and how the ending seems to completely discard everything from the previous 14 years of the manga story.

I believe that Masashi Kishimoto and Studio Pierrot do know  that they have screwed up very badly with the ending and the New Era Project.  It's been nearly a year, and many fans are still angry.

After all, the anime went to fillers JUST before Sakura was due to give Naruto the kiss of life.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the fillers are still going, and they have not resumed the main story yet?

Now, if everything was going fine and Naruto was still popular, why would they need to keep inserting new filler stories?  Why not just go straight to a Boruto spin-off anime series, which I believe was their original plan?

I think that they are trying to play for time and appease fans as much as they can.  But that tactic is clearly not working, as there is still fresh anger.  Kishimoto keeps stoking that anger every time he has an interview, because he cannot stop lying and contradicting himself.

The way things are headed, I think there is a real chance that Naruto will end permanently in 2016.  Sales have been falling, and the anime and movie ratings have plunged.

It would be a sad way for Naruto to go, but I think that it would be for the best.  It's very unlikely that Kishimoto, Shonen Jump, and Studio Pierrot will do a U turn and try to fix what went wrong.

This way, the fans who like the ending will still have their "canon" ending, and everyone else can have closure and move on.

Its been a while since I last commented. But I just had to. I am literally laughing my ass off at this latest interview. All of the contradictory information he's given over the last year. No intelligent human being can possibly say all of those things and expect people not to notice. Its like trying his damnedest to tell the world that he knows that the Naruto ending was terrible without outright calling his own work kitten. Either that or he has a Donald Trump level of cluelessness.

And the details. His wife being pissed that Sakura, who was modeled after her, did not end up with Naruto, who he modeled after himself. Or the fact that even a number of his own staffers were confused by the ending. The people who lived and worked closely with didn't see this kitten coming. It invalidates every argument that NH was the obvious outcome, since logic alone didn't seem to do the trick.

He doesn't have to mention any of this. He knows that. But he chooses to mention it anyway.

Well, suppose he must've left out some details about that argument with his wife. "No honey... I don't a have a thing for stalkerish women with huge jugs!"

I'm sure Kishi and SP know they've screwed up but they won't admit it. Too much pride to admit a screw up, plus the money spend on it. Kishi will continue to lie hoping people will eventually be ok with his lies and contradicts.

Thing is this could work simply because some people don't really care if they're treating like idiots simply because they can say "it's canon". And most of them only care about that aspect.

As for the fillers, yes they're still going on. I'm seeing people complain about the fillers calling them stupid, pointless and destroying the anime. This is from the place I used to watch them. Again I point out a website that's pretty much only available in my country.

Now for the U turn, here's the thing. If they think or somehow know it's going to bring them money, then they're going to do it. It's very clear that the only thing they care about now it's money. They will do anything that will bring money. Kishi's out so it's no longer his decision if it ever was to begin with.

However I don't see that anytime soon. Probably they're going to continue the fillers until ratings it rock bottom then release the ending to series and then be done. For a time that is. I seriously doubt they're ever going to let go of the "Naruto" name. Unless they really decide to end everything related to it.

Which I've told you - time and time again - is dangerous! There will never be consensus, son, among those you have helped to ascend. They will all differ in their views of what it means to be free. The peace you so desperately seek does not exist.

These men are united now by a common cause. But when this battle is finished they will fall to fighting amongst themselves about how best to ensure control. In time it will lead to war. You will see.

Sorry what country are you in again? I forget.

Also does anyone actually have the numbers for the anime in Japan? I keep asking cause i have no clue where to look or what the numbers would mean when I find them.

Also for the filler they had filler before the kiss. They left off on hinata beautify falling to the ground so gracefully and detailed that they put no effort into the rest of the episode. It was also the episode where both Naruto and Sasuke were dying so fans in Japan if the ending or the last didn't do it that episode from what i hear was "the straw that broke the camel's back" for a large number of fans in Japan. After the zero effort chunin exam filler arc they went up to Madara being absorb by Zetsu and Kaguya coming out then back to filler.

The Anime News Network should have it.
