If Drew Brees did what he did to Indy next week the Rams will have hold, Luck or Bradford, but if they are able to draft Luck 1st overall, they're going to make San Diego-Eli Manning look like an ebay transaction.

But back the fantasy, how the hell did I put up 90+ POINTS with 3-4 people!?!

If these football trends continue into next week, sure the Rams will be completely slaughtered and we'll have a blackout, but damn Drew Brees and Darren Sproles will be good.

I was wondering if you were going to pick up the Jacksonville defense and pray that they did awesome. Or that Flacco self-destructed. Currently, it's looking like I'll be lucky if I get a FG attempt much less 4.

I needed Boldin (another league) and Cundiff to suck and so far so good.

Heck, I'm actually glad that Dez got his garbage time TD. Otherwise, I would've thought that I'd stand a chance. I might as well have kept Akers for all the good that Cundiff did me.

I'd gotten lucky and made all the right moves until this game. Bound to run out sooner or later.

Thanks for Akers too. Janikowksi has an ailing hammy and is on a bye. So, I snapped up Akers rather than screw with the hammy.

That Boldin TD had me worried in my other league, but I still won with only Michael Turner reaching double figures.

Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed by losing Akers because he'd done well for me and I was happy with him. I guess that I should've dropped Decker earlier because it was already pretty obvious that he didn't have value unless Orton was throwing the ball.

I knew that having a bunch of people on a bye would make a big difference for some of my guys, but I didn't think that it would for my kicker and tight end.

Decker has had some good games and should be the No. 1. However, he's so inconsistent (he's burned me every time I started him in my other league), that despite now having a hole at WR without Moss, I still don't want him.

Week 7 Quick Recap

Fosters Home For TDs 150.80
Tokyo Raiders 94.15
-The Commish's current name for his team says it all. Arian Foster went off against what used to be a good Titans defense, and I was wrong (again) about Cam Newton. Meanwhile Flacco might be better served to not try and throw the ball downfield for half of his pass attempts or so.

The Golden Thumbs 28.60
Zatties! 73.35
-Bye. Nothing to see here.

Leatherbacks 73.50
Not Last Place 84.50
-None of Nick's bye week fill-ins showed up to play (McCoy, Grant, Bush), and even the awesomeness that is Megatron and Mike Wallace can only do so much. It wasn't pretty, but good days from Dez Bryant and the Panthers D as well as decent ones from Matty Ice and Shonn Greene gave Nate a win he'll gladly take.

The Wulfpack 81.55
All we do is lose 111.35
-AARONRODGERS do what AARONRODGERS do, but I'm left wondering what is up with Philip Rivers. He has not looked right this season at all.

Ellicott Thundercats 106.00
Reavers! 92.75
-LOLBye. You wouldn't know from just looking at the score than Insurrection only started five players, would you? However, three of them were Brees, Turner, and Sproles. I would have had to just permanently give the 'Kick to the Groin' to True if he had lost this one.

Sparky McRandomsons 102.80
Gama Warriors 99.05
-Remember when Reggie Wayne was a force at WR? Last year was so long ago. Projected to get over six, he gets just above half that. And in a 62-7 blowout where you'd think the Colts would be passing like crazy too.

Week 7 pick results: 4-2
Season picks to date: 25-11

Initial BCS H&E FFL Standings!
After Week 13, top 6 makes the playoffs. Too early to count anyone out though!

Legend:
Rank | Team (Owner) | Record | Win % | Points Scored (Tiebreaker) | Streak

1. All we do is lose (Illmatic) 6-1-0 .857 811.90 W-5
2. Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish) 5-2-0 .714 887.35 L-1
3. Zatties! (Zatren6) 5-2-0 .714 765.35 W-2

5. Sparky McRandomsons (Jwolf0) 4-3-0 .571 741.55 W-1
6. Ellicott Thundercats (True) 4-3-0 .571 698.55 W-3

7. The Golden Thumbs (Rick) 4-3-0 .571 619.65 L-1
8. The Wulfpack (Burning_wulf) 3-4-0 .429 691.00 L-2
9. Reavers! (Insurrection) 2-5-0 .286 768.65 L-5
10. Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) 2-5-0 .286 670.65 L-2
11. Not Last Place (Nate River) 2-5-0 .286 612.00 W-2
12. Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia) 1-6-0 .143 656.65 L-4

Kick to the Groin 'Winners':

-Week 1: Zatren6
-Week 2: Nate River.
-Week 3: Nate River.
-Week 4: Jwolf0.
-Week 5: Nate River and Insurrection (tie).
-Week 6: None
-Week 7: Nee-sama. Reggie Wayne held to 3.6 points in a 62-7 shellacking? That's almost as improbable as losing because your opponent's kicker gets 18 on Monday Night! Oh wait, that happened to me in a different league. F- you, Baltimore.

I've been wondering the same thing too. Maybe its time to start Sanchez more often. He certainly looked alot better these past few weeks than he has the start of the season.

Bush wasn't a bye week fill-in. He was starting because my regular #2 back (LaGarrette Blount)was injured. But Olsen (.4 points) and Cundiff (1 point) also stepped up with no-shows. Blount is on his bye this week so Bush (or maybe CJ) will be filling in for him.

I have three Cincy starters. I'm depending heavily on the Bengels. I'm screwed. Therefore, dood, I need your Seahawks to suck like never before, except for the guy guarding AJ Green.

And Insurrection should feel bad about himself if he loses because there is a ton of roster overlap and most of it favors him plus the NO matchup with St.Louis. The only excuse for blowing this one would be for Frank Gore to pull a Murray or Foster on the Vikings or a freak injury to Brees.

I knew week 8 was going to be brutal, but it's looking worse all the time. Still considering starting Ben Tate and hoping for the best. I never thought I'd miss Shonn Greene.

Ya know I hate to admit it, but for some reason I thought Big Ben was on bye last week, so I benched him. If I would have played him like I should have, I would have won. I deserved the L, and the kick to the groin, for being stupid! lol argh1.png

With the way Mendenhall played he might as well have been on a bye. Right jwolf? I have him in another league and he kills me. Most of the time I start Mathews over him.

Sigh. This is what I get for investing a 1st rounder in a Steeler. facepalm.png

I was wondering why you were so hellbent on starting Grossman/Beck, Nee-sama!

And now, the EDUT:

Jwolf0's Wildly Inaccurate Week 8 Picks!
Picks guaranteed to be correct or $10 to each reader!*

*(After applying a margin of error of +/-6)

Foster's Home for TDs (Mik3) vs. The Wulfpack (Burning_wulf)
-Foster's Home for TDs favored by ~13.

I actually see a possibility for an upset here. But I feel that while this will be a closer game than advertised, Foster's (It's Houstonian for TDs!) has too many horses to overtake, even with Jennings on the bench.

The Golden Thumbs (Rick) vs. Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia)
-Tokyo Raiders favored by "~20."

So each team has a bye position to fill in, but Rick's is at the QB position and he'll need to look on the waiver wire for one.

Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) vs. Zatties! (Zatren6)
-Gama Warriors favored by ~14.

Byes and injuries are playing havoc with Z's roster, it doesn't look as intimidating without Andre 3000 and Run-DMC. Helu is probably his best chance to catch lightning in a bottle, but that's a LOT of lightning to catch.

Not Last Place (Nate River) vs. Reavers! (Insurrection)
-Reavers! favored by ~16.

With yet another Seattle cornerback on IR, Andy Dalton may have a really good game except that A.J. Green may end up getting a lot of those targets. That's not helping dood. With Brees and Sproles up against St. Louis, the, uh, Rams fan should pick up the victory here.

Ellicott Thundercats (True) vs. All we do is lose (Illmatic)
-Ellicott Thundercats favored by ~17.

This is MUCH closer than it looks, but there's a lot of patching Illmatic needs to do for this week with a bye, a player that's out, and another questionable player.

Sparky McRandomsons (Jwolf0) vs. Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish)
-Leatherbacks favored by ~8.

Sigh. I guess I'm hoping for a 50-40 Dallas/Philly game. Come on Pittsburgh, play good pass defense! I don't think they'll play it well enough to get me the win though.

Less than 5 Minutes to go with Cincy up and they get a Punt Return for a TD. Then with thirty seconds to go a pick six by Tavaris. I thought the Saints garbage time TD was going to doom me, but Cincy/Seattle garbage time may doom Insurrection. 33 points for my D. They've been my best player 3 out of 4 weeks. With the one week being a bye.

And....Maclin get a TD. Need Bryant to respond. Screw Miles Austin Romo. Throw for Dez.

Three in a row!.

I gotta thank J-wolfs Seahawks for giving two special team/defensive TD's in the final 3 and half. Could not have done without you guys. I won relying on the Bungles. Dalton was his usual average self. Jerome Simpson caught one pass but made it count. Oh, And Frank Gore.

May not make the playoffs, but at least my guys aren't an easy win anymore.

I hope the Michael Bush move I made pays off. Especially with McFadden out and Denver being...Denver.

Even though I'm 2-6 I'm okay with Brees and Sproles losing last week for 2 reasons. 1) It was the Rams that upset them. 2) Sean Payton is embarrased that they were upset by the Rams so they'll try to murder Tampa.

No recap, I was a lazy/busy panda. Also, I greatly miss Sourdough Jacks.

Jwolf0's Wildly Inaccurate Week 9 picks!

Fosters Home for TDs (Mik3) vs. Ellicott Thundercats (True)
-Fosters Home for TDs favored by ~17.

Arian Foster + DeMarco Murray > Steven Jackson + Chris Johnson, at least this week. Ironically enough, it's not that Foster and Murray have great matchups (both Cleveland and Seattle have good run defenses, just look at that 6-3 masterpiece a couple of weeks back! Actually, let's not. sick.gif ) but they will get a LOT of work regardless. True will have to rely on Cedric Benson if he wants to pull off the upset, comparing the rest of the roster head-to-head doesn't favor True in many places.

The Golden Thumbs (Rick) vs. The Wulfpack (Burning_wulf)
-The Wulfpack favored by ~10.

Where's Rick been? You play what's on your roster, so I guess the 'Pack takes this one.

Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) vs. Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia)
-Tokyo Raiders favored by ~1.

About as close to a pick 'em as you get. I flip-flopped on this pick almost as much as Mik3 changes his team name, but settled on roninmedia picking up the win. The deciding factor was being unable to trust Green-Ellis; it's almost impossible to reliably predict how Patriot carries will be divvied up. Ryan Mathews may be unable to play, but his projection was next to nothing anyway.
I almost changed my mind again finishing this blurb up.

Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish) vs. Zatties! (Zatren6)
-Leatherbacks favored by ~45.

Ouch. Even though only Stafford's on bye, you wouldn't know from looking at Z's roster. With Run-DMC and Andre3000 both out, this... is gonna be a paddlin'.

All we do is lose (Illmatic) vs. Reavers! (Insurrection)
-Reavers! favored by ~35.

NOW PLAYING: Illmatic's take on a classic; AARONRODGERS and the Eight Dwarves! With the Dallas D the only other projection in the double digits this could get ugly in a hurry. But at least Chris Ogbonnaya will get more than his 1.49!

Sparky McRandomsons (Jwolf0) vs. The All-Cincy Team (Nate River)
-Sparky McRandomsons favored by ~24.

PRINNY BOWL, DOOD! Actually, I have a hard time believing I'm supposed to score 119, but math doesn't lie I guess. Just for fun, let's point out where I expect my biggest three underperformers to be - both WRs and Rashard Mendenhall, because I now believe in being "pleasantly surprised" by my first rounder. Better than hideously disappointed. I like McCoy and Romo to carry me to victory however.
