Actually, no, that really, really does. Maybe someone was like ''Hm, those two are wild, I wonder how they'd be in bed.''
And judging by their personalities, as you've said, it sure must be something...

Wild and passionate laugh.gif
Because, well, that's just how they are.

It's the essence of the character type- strong passionate drives and an intense mutual emotional romantic bond, a strong belief in romantic love. It's like Buffy and Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Rogue and Gambit in X-men comics, Sango and Miroku in Inuyasha. You can even see it as far back Lady Oscar and Andre in Rose of Versailles.

The romance novel reviewers in the 90's came up with three main types of romantic characters male and female

Alpha, Beta, Gamma (it's not rigid catagories, overlapping isn't unusual and you can also have positive and negative examples, but I think I can give you an idea of the types via Naruto characters that have the least other type overlapping)

Alpha male- Sasuke, Yahiko

Alpha female- Karin, Ino

Beta female- Hinata, Kurenai

Beta male- Lee, Sai

Gamma male- Naruto, Jiraiya

Gamma female- Sakura, Tsunade

Alpha males and Beta males can be either asexual or sexual, ditto for Alpha and Beta females. Gamma males and female are always sexual to some degree, but not exactly like either Alpha or Beta sexual types, they take elements of either and blend them into something new.

Hm... So, in essence...

Alpha = Pitcher
Beta = Catcher
Gamma = Both?

So... Since Naruto is Gamma (which I agree on) and Sakura's Alpha, Naruto would be catcher, so to speak. So what if Naruto and Sakura were both Alpha?

laugh.gif character types in popular fiction. The terms were first used by romance novel critics in the 90's but is used now in general popular fiction critique. It's long and more complicated to write out the types in detail so I did a quick list of Naruto characters that fit the general types best. In fiction the character types fall loosely into three main types- dubbed Alpha, Beta and Gamma types. It's western pop fiction typology but the general types appear fairly similar in both western popular fiction (including TV shows and movies) and Japanese popular fiction, especially from the 1970's onward.

Here's a description of the Gamma type male from the 1990's- "strong but tenderhearted, self-tortured but not cruel, a lover of women, physically strong yet emotionally vulnerable." He genuinely believes in love with all his heart- although this is hidden from his love interest under a flirtatous or teasing veneer.

The type evolved through the years, and in recent years when you see young innocent Gamma males they sometimes are much less practiced in hiding their feelings under the veneer than they eventually are, and much more clueless in their delivery, much like Naruto in part 1. Such as William's really bad attempts at love poetry to his hopeless crush Cecilia before he becomes the vampire Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or young Remy's (Gambit) attempted "heroic rescue" of the young assassin "princess" Belladonna in X-men comics.

Seesh were putting too much thought on this...Sakura has become hot...in part 1 she was everything but, and Naruto has developed a lot in his appearance. He no longer has that stupid face of his.

Oh definitly.....

Just look at Episode 116 for example. She was so ready to pop for Sasuke that it was like a porno waiting to happen. She was always so seductive for Sasuke and everything. It was unnerving at time. I don't know how Sasuke kept his cool as I would be sweating bullets.

That's a villain for you. Overtly sexual, yet calm and collective t the same time. Deep down all true villains are perverts.

No, strangelove, it's never that simple; This is so Freud right here. We need to take a closer look.

There's something totally psychological about this right here.

I'm pretty sure Sasuke isn't gay, guys. And I'm also pretty sure he isn't asexual either. No my friends, the fact of the matter is that Sasuke has a one-track mind, it has nothing to do with his non-existent love life. It's not that Sasuke isn't attracted to anyone, it's the simple fact that he doesn't care. Sasuke is obsessed with revenge, and doesn't want anything to get in the way of that. Part of the problem with some of the psychobabble is that it sometimes complicates simple matters. In Sasuke's case, it truly does. His story is simple, his world revolved around revenge. If it doesn't help him, then it's irrelevant; that's his thought process. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't remember if he said this or not, but did Sasuke ever say anything similar to "Love is a weakness."

I don't remember if he did. I am pretty sure he said something along the lines of "Love is weakness or useless."
