Well, let's see if Ikemoto continues putting effort, or last chapter was just to get his superiors off his back.

Summary Time: Chapter 76. A Girls' Sanctuary...the bathroom or her room? I don't want to know what Ikemoto considers a girl's sanctuary.

The cover page is Hime...looking awful and overdone.

Bolt wonders what he just saw and Femmy questions if he saw the same possible future he did...they try to be fancy by using the word 'Tableau' instead. He is reminded of Femmy's warning. They continue asking Madoc about his motives. Shikamaru questions if there is anything special about his daughter, Hime says there isn't while snarking at him for asking a weird question. Madoc points out he is just a regular civilian, not a shinobi, and has no plans such as toppling the shinobi world *side eye to the audience* leaning heavy on that wall isn't he? ...how did he get a Otsutsuki clan member's corpse before he met Jenga again? Shikamaru complains it feels anti-climactic. Naruto says its a matter between Madoc and Nail, he won't interfere and will be willing to help if he can. Madoc bites back that there is nothing he could do to help anyways...yeesh the hostility for Kishimoto's characters so far. Nail complains about Karma, his situation, and asks what if Madoc's daughter becomes an Otsutsuki. Madoc takes off his glasses in order to show he is opening himself and exhausted. He says, he doesn't know but this is his last option. Hime calls the meeting to a close because she is bored and wants to rest.

Bolt in bed thinks of femmy's warning. Hime watches Nail while he contemplates.

During breakfast Bolt points out that she could also date him, so why Nail? Simple, he is Ikemoto's character. Moe snarks the Bolt is unattractive and Bolt had to stop himself because he almost thought of killing a child, not do to it being morally wrong, but instead so he doesn't get punish due to Moe's Shinjutsu...our hero ladies and gentlemen. Apparently, it was age for Hime as he was 12 and she is 16...guessing Nail is somewhere in-between, 14. Nail asks her about Punk and she blushes because he is talking to her and said her name. So, I guess Ikemoto really was a Hinata supporter because this girl who is made for his character is incredibly easy. Oh God pages of Bolt and Moe snarking and complaining, this is hell. Eventually, Hime complains about the lack of girls that prevent her from gossiping about her feelings with them. She orders Bolt to bring Salad and the Clone. Apparently, Bolt did not know the Clone's last name. Bolt uses a mental call to bring them over...is Ino here to act as their psychic phone or is Bolt just so powerful he can do this on his own? Shikamaru's son also wants to join in because he wasn't affected by Hime's power when he met her. Wait, he is in the village. How far does this psychic link reach, and how far away are they from the village? Which leads to the joke of him instantly falling for her once he gets a good look at her. Somehow Salad and the clone don't seem to be as affected or they are just making a point to not look at her. Hime drags them over to the side so they can gossip.

...They literally go into her room and hug pillows to gossip. Skipping. Turns out they are not affected by Hime's charm power...guessing the true love immunity theory is probably correct. Hime asks about Salad's feeling for Bolt. Then laments that due to her powers she can't get a regular boyfriend. Shikamaru decides to check in and gets an update of their immunity. While Bolt and Moe bond through games and how unlikeable the two are...oh god these two might hang out together often now...oh no. Shikamaru informs them that if they are really immune they might be needed to put her down in the future...great thing to tell the kids, but it is their job. Wonderful how much Naruto has change the ninja system isn't it?

Femmy pops in to inform Bolt of what he thinks Hime's power is. Nail is nearby and figures out that Femmy is active in Bolt's head. Confronts Bolt and demands Femmy reveal himself.

DragonBall Super is back with 88. Seems to by the cover decide to focus on Goten, Trunks, and the Scientist, Dr Gero's grandson, from the movie. They are Saiyaman X 1 and 2. So this arc is them playing superheroes in a high school setting.

They lament for one thing, they are ripping their pose off a character from a Video game they play, and because the world is peaceful; there is not much chance to beat up baddies. As most of the crimes are things like Identity theft. Turns out Trunks is bad with computers while Goten has a phone. They also want to keep this hidden from their parents. So, they don't have transforming watches like Gohan does.

Trunks has become friends with Pilaf and made deals to allow him to use the dragonballs. He also has the crush on Mai now. Oh and Bluma has cameras on the dragonballs, which she had during the Broly movie, so she knows Pilaf stole them, and wants them back. He seems to be constantly late for class, and has some high school friends...one of them looks like a fat nerdy gohan. Oh Trunks also doesn't like Ghost.

So the plot of this chapter is Doctor Gero is having his zombies take control of capsule corps latest robots, so they can make store sushi lunchboxes. This is forcing Mai to work late so Trunks can't take her out on a date. They take some disk of his which means he has to hunt them down to get it back. Since he is not working for Capsule Corps the movie may not have happened yet. As I recall he has just got out of jail at the start of the movie for turning corpses into his androids.

Most of the chapter is focus on reintroducing Trunks. Since, he is going to be the main character of this arc. Also somewhat Goten. Guessing since the success of the Super Heroes movie. They want to see if they can focus on arcs that don't involve Goku and Vegeta and focus on the rest of the cast.

Uh, Wow. Just wow. I cringed at the entire thing and nothing was engaging. AT ALL.

Wait if the true love thing doesn't affect someone that means Sai doesn't really love Ino not Shikamaru with Temari

Shikamaru only seems to not be able to harm her. Out of and compared to everyone else he doesn't seem that affected. But, yes if they reveal it is the case. And remember, their true love is Boruto. As for the InoSai stuff. Ino is the only old cast female Ikemoto puts effort into drawing, besides his favorite character Moegi. I wouldn't be surprise if he thinks she shouldn't be with him, but in a harem for Nail/Kawaki/Ikemoto.

So, Shikamaru's case the reason probably is, "Yes, he loves Temari, but even he, as a man, must admit that Hime is the most beautiful woman in existence; as she is Ikemoto's type."

Uh, Wow. Just wow. I cringed at the entire thing and nothing was engaging. AT ALL.

I get through them by noticing a problem each chapter and thinking on it. This one, I focused on Ikemoto's favoritism towards his characters.

If a Kishimoto and Ikemoto character are talking. The Kishimoto one will talk normally, while the Ikemoto constantly snarks at and acts better than them, and the Kishimoto one will never say anything back because they are right in whatever they say.

Its a trope often found in fanfiction. Where the fanfic writer will act as if their original characters are better and smarter than the original characters of the story they are writing a fan fic about.

As for how it effects the actual story. In general, you want all your characters to follow the same "rules." For example, lets say a story has, "Explain your powers to the enemy," if that's the case you have all your characters explain their powers when they fight while their opponent politely listens; reader hopefully understand this is part of the story and accept it instead of complaining about it. Of course, the writers can have characters break these rules. Such as lying about their powers or attacking during the explaining. However, that should be rare and should be given a reason why the character does it. Fanfic level writers will just have characters, "break the rules," to show they are better, but without the justification; it breaks the flow of the story.

Boruto's plot is very generic most of the time, until he has one of his characters 'breaks the rules.' The best one I can think of, is Nail's use of the shadow clone to prevent being re-infected by karma. Clever, but the story has had to spend three years justifying that rule breaking.

Here in this chapter, it feels like Nail's confronting of Femmy still being active in Bolt isn't because he figured it out naturally. But more Ikemoto thinking, "My characters are smarter than Kishimoto's. They would instantly notice this, figure it out, and wouldn't waste any time on Bull kitten."

Got Bored and look at reddit again.

https://www.reddit.c...ons_chapter_76/

The manga discussion had one person read a chapter for the first time due to being curious about its due to the Sasuke discussion kept complaining about it. They ask who is the writer since its not listed. No one knows and they just guess. One think it run by committee by the anime writing staff...if that was the case Bolt would already have his magical right eye since they gave him that in the first arc of their anime. Some think Kishimoto made an outline the Ikemoto is following. Others say its Kishimoto and he is just a bad writer...he is not this bad. None seem to believe or want to admit that Ikemoto is writing it.

Apparently, someone tired to make a timeline of Naruto-Boruto due to learning that bolt is still 12 instead of 13. Apparently, Bolt and Salad were born days apart from each other March 27 and 31. Bolt was born a day before Sakura's birthday and Salad a few days later.

They try to figure out how those two are immune. The Clone due to her Nue summon Ikemoto probably doesn't remember, and Salad due to being a Otsutsuki descendant due to being an uchiha. They really want to avoid the true love answer.

https://www.reddit.c...and_discussion/

Well at least they are willing to admit that it is probably the love immunity answer. most are either happy that Salad is involved in the arc or annoyed its only due to shipping. They are seeing love triangles as well as shipping conflicts...that honestly aren't there. All Hime did was gush about her feeling for Nail in ask Salad about her feeling for Bolt.

Another attempt at trying to justify the fact that bolt is still 12 does this timeline sound right? Naruto graduated in September. Then the Chunin exams were July 1st. Oh its been six months since Nail came to the village. So either the chunin exam is soon or passed. No matter what Bolt's team was sent into the chunin exam in under 6 months of training in order to justify his age.

Apparently someone notice that Naruto was attracted to Hime but they say he gives her a fatherly look. Didn't notice this but it will be funny if they reveal the true love immunity and he doesn't have it. Especially, since he was given half the Sage's power.

https://www.reddit.c...and_discussion/

They also think that it is the true love immunity and are fine with certain pairing not really being in love, as long as theirs are.

Again they really hope that the immunity is important and it will give those two girls roles in the story. Even hoping that Salad will give Hime the talk no jutsu to convert her...I still doubt it and even if it does it will be temporary as it has been before and I doubt the talk no jutsu will happen.

Oh the game Bolt and Moe were playing is a pokemon expy call pokenin. I'm only bring it up because each discussion won't shut up about it.
