Even with the Kaguya clan members, if Naruto did everything I just described in the previous post, he would STILL SH-T on the Kaguya clan members based on the borish uncomplicated DBZ style manner they've been portrayed. I assume that's why we've been given the plot contrivance of Naruto having "gotten rusty" and having had "no time to train."

And I agree on why Naruto is so weak; my remarks are more in line with my sentiment that there is so much wasted potential here that it's almost tragic to watch (or to even read the summaries you take the time to make each month this garbage is released). Making Naruto rusty just so Boruto can fight at his side is the narrative mindset of a simpleton; it's the thought process of someone who can't think of any other way for Boruto to have to solve problems with people like Naruto and Sasuke in the background. There's no need for Boruto to be taking on Kaguya level threats. What people loved about the original wasn't the DBZ scale fights, but the fight creativity that ninjutsu revolved around. Maybe let Boruto fight some Kaguya opponent around the end of his series, but keep to diverse lower level threats for at least the opening and middle acts of the series. Maybe have him investigate the Jashin cult. Maybe have him finally solve the problems with the smaller hidden villages his father evidently lied about when promised Pain he'd do something about it. Maybe revisit the problems with the Hyuuga clan that were never resolved in the original. There are so many abandoned subplots in the original Naruto that a creative writer has plenty of material to work with without constantly to rely on "OMG! THESE GUYS ARE EVEN STRONGER THAN KAGUYA!"

What you're saying is completely right.

The thing is, part one Naruto did what they should be doing. Have Boruto fight kids his own age, while Konohamaru, Naruto, and Sasuke fight the big bad.

Wave Arc. Naruto fights Haku. Kakashi fights Zabuza.

Chunin exam. Naruto fights Gaara. The Third fights Orochimaru.

Tsunade arc. Naruto fight Kabuto. Tsunade fights Orochimaru.

But Kishi for Bolt's chunin exam had the Kaguya clan members crash the party in order to make his movie feel more epic, and now they must feel going back to low level ninja would feel a step backwards. Not helped that Bolt's first fight was against a S rank missing nin, his first team fight was against a former bodyguard of the fifth mizkage (which judging by his contemporaries means he was on the short list for next mizukage; so in other words a kage level ninja,) and that's just the manga. In the anime, the seven swordmen of the mist, a demon, his teachers, Kakashi, another kaguya member, and so many more.

Which is a shame because it's the antithesis of what this character was built up to be in the original. Hokage Naruto should be an utterly OP character who is all but invincible. Complete mastery over shadow clones, utterly abused the heck of the shadow clone training mechanic Kakashi taught him, actively in a 1000 different places without there ever being an indication of who is the real one, full mastery of sage of six path mode mechanics (including limbo), absolute mastery of the truth seeking balls and a whole host of hax jutsu created over the years thanks to shadow clone training + the truth seeking balls. Hokage Naruto should be an utter beast/monster of an opponent who is technically never surpassed throughout at least a majority of the sequel series he appears in (or hell, maybe outright never surpassed if we make him a Soujiro Hiko style character). Above all else, Hokage Naruto should be someone who despite all of his power, is hardly ever involved in resolving whatever issue appears before the protagonist, is rarelyy used as a last minute deus ex machina character utilized only when the protagonist is in wayyyyyyy over his head and is literally unable to solve the problem himself and is maybe someone who only gets to go all out one time in the seires (i.e. the finale or preferably a yugi vs jaden/judai kind of scenario where the protagonist and Naruto have a friendly no-stakes fight at the very end of the series). At this point in the sequel series, NO REVEALED character should be anywhere close to Naruto (or Sasuke's) level without a DAMN GOOD EXPLANATION that is not remotely contrived (which is what EVERY SINGLE BORUTO VILLAIN IS).

Instead, we get some bum who thinks he's a DBZ character and whose only solution to a problem is overpowering his opponent with raw strength. It's a stupid and indicative of either someone who doesn't appreciate what this series used to be, someone who doesn't give a damn what this series used to  be or someone who simply no longer remembers what this series used to be. In a way, a microcosm of everything that is wrong with the Boruto series.

I hate the fact that Naruto in all his life piqued and learned everything he wanted long before the series even ended. He didn't learn any other wind techniques, didn't learn any more sage techniques or frog, and he CERTAINLY didn't learn Tobirama and his father's technique seeing how he could have. Like, at least give me something new. I can think of several new techniques he could have learned...some that could even be scientifically possible like using wind pressure to stop projectiles or making invisible projectiles using wind.

Look at Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for example and see how weaker opponents can overpower stronger opponents using quick thinking and outsmarting them than just DBZ's "make my number bigger."

Which is again why the are using Kaguya's clan members or people powered up by them; as they are the only ones that can give Naruto and Sasuke any real fight.

As for why Naruto is so weak. Naruto was clearly abandon the second the sequel was ordered just like everything else was sacrificed for Hinata and her son. How can the true protagonist, Boruto, be impressive when you compare him to a demi-god? So Naruto went to rust so Bolt can fight by his side and be in cool fight. The reason he is in constant fights is to allow Bolt be involved in them without much danger, and to milk his popularity till they kill him off.

This is such a bad premise and the reason Super fails too.
You have a whole universe of characters to explore, even a whole world, and....you reduce down to a couple of blocks. Are you serious? The Ootsutsuki clan is boring. At least point, the war arc would have been better conceived if it was the entire clan fighting everyone else.
Almost like a Lovecraftian story where the people of the world fight off a great evil that only existed in legends until now.

Like, where are they all coming from?
And if Naruto, as weak as he is, can take them on...does this make HIM weak or does it make these Clan members weak?

I don't get the premise of Boruto anymore. Everyone says it is good, but they are just repeating concepts over and over...and not in a good way...and the more they keep repeating the worse it makes Naruto and his generation look.

Meanwhile, you have the generation before Naruto and they are powerful, but they EARNED their power. Hiruzen is old and he fights Orochimaru to almost a stand still with the only real defining factor is that Orochimaru is younger and uses what I would call "black techniques" to win. Yet the third was still able to cripple him albeit sacrifice everything. It was a good message how far a true Hokage will go to protect his people even if it means sacrificing everything he is.

And remember, THAT fight was considered Hokage level combat...Naruto should be doing far more and yet he doesn't even match the skill the Third had.

Your "Wind Shield-Wall" was used by Molding Cannibal.

Naruto did learn how to make an earth wall something that in Naruto was able to be taught to every ninja in the alliance in seconds.

It largely seems to be Kishimoto and the rest stop having Naruto learn stuff so Bolt can learn it.

In Dragon Ball Z, Goku was already the strongest in his universe after defeating Freeza. Every villain after was trying to work around how to make a more powerful foe.

In Super, it start off with Goku fighting the God of Destruction. Even throughout the multiverse, there are only so many people that could match a god of destruction.

....Who says Boruto's premise is good? Its currently just repeating the SNS conflict; one of the most hated part of Naruto. Hell, because of that, they aren't even following Bolt's goal of becoming Salad's Danzo.

That's the point though. You start the series off by using a character who is "one of the strongest beings in existence?" Why? They said Freeza was the strongest in the universe and yet he wasn't. Then they said Cell was stronger...and then he wasn't. Then you had Buu who apparently always existed and was the most powerful, and now he isn't.

Where is the cap? Zeno? Will Goku ever beat Zeno and if he does who else can challenge him?

Your "Wind Shield-Wall" was used by Molding Cannibal.

And The Flash and Yasuo and a few other character that can control wind pressure...except Naruto

Naruto did learn how to make an earth wall something that in Naruto was able to be taught to every ninja in the alliance in seconds.

Yay? I guess, but no wind techniques? I guess those were just too hard.

It largely seems to be Kishimoto and the rest stop having Naruto learn stuff so Bolt can learn it.

I guess....Boruto is just practically perfect in every way

....Who says Boruto's premise is good?

Let's see twitter Naruto fans, tumblr Naruto fans, and a good chunk of the remaining Naruto fan page.

And it must be good if they say it is so popular in Japan.

The point of Zeno is that he is on top but he is not a fighter so Goku will never fight him. So Goku already somewhat reached his cap and is fighting people around that.

In japan, its anime is on Sunday the only day kids don't have school, its been downgraded to babies first shounen in its target audience, and its on a time slot where it doesn't seem to have fierce competition. Its watched because it on at a convenient time with nothing else on, but it doesn't mean it loved. The manga is still doing poorly.

https://twitter.com/...sHyG8ATtFQ&s=19 is what this tweet saying about boruto being number 1 for Tokyo TV true or a load of nonsense

Blue this is another case of you asking stuff and anyone here just having to go, "Well, we don't know since we stop keeping up with it years ago." As well as, "it is kind of hard to agree or disagree when we don't have more details or data to work off more then just a vague random claim." You might as well ask the person saying it for more information both to give you more info and data to show us to analyze.

They also said its number one on cruchyroll and... on cruchyroll its number two behind One Piece and Naruto Shippuden is number three, and demon slayer is number four. Followed by something called The fruit of evolution (that just started), tokyo revengers, takt op. Destiny (that also just started), World Trigger, Black Cover, Jujutsu, and ah that's what I was looking for My Hero Academy. Now, I don't know how cruchyroll list these, but I'm guess something like most watched this month or something like that. Unless you believe the Fruit of Evolution completely overshadowed those three shounen jump anime with just 4 episodes compared to their hundreds. So, it is likely Boruto and Naruto Shippuden are getting a boost from the Suicide Nuke Mode being shown in the anime and its making people nostalgic for Naruto for a bit.

Also how much money are the companies getting from Cruchyroll. The high guardian spice thing was apparently a scandal due to the fact that it contradicted that they were giving most profits back to the anime companies so that the staff wouldn't be underpaid, but clearly were keeping it with the plans on making their own cartoon...poor quality cartoons at that.

So that's the claim you weren't wonder about but I could check and guess just by going on Cruchyroll site.

As for it being #1 for TVTokyo...in what? DVD Sales? Ratings? Money they get from Licensing & Distribution? What?

Let's go for the old tried and true that they are basing it off that TvTokyo report from years ago that showed Naruto was number one and Boruto was number five. Which was licensing and distribution. If its that one we have covered that. Foreign companies bought it for their local market assuming it would sell like Naruto did, doesn't mean it successful, just means some companies were trick into a contract to buy a poor product.

As for anything else, its number one for TVTokyo, we have also went over this, but TVtokyo doesn't really have that many anime about twelve are currently running and Boruto is the oldest right now.  Its not in the top ten anime in japan in tv rating and never has been.

Finally, let's go over what Namenash normally points to, if its so successful where are its spin off products? If something successful companies tend to milk it for all its worth. When was the last Boruto video game; that wasn't a mobile game? When was its last OVA? When is it next movie coming out? Demon Slayers has a movie that out preformed both the Last and the Boruto movie internationally, and it is now releasing its game. Dragon Balls Super is getting another movie and its anime ended a few years ago. Black Clover, My Hero, and Demon Slayers have all gotten video games and movies. Where are the Boruto products? Hell, where is the live action Naruto movie they were talking about around the the time of the ending?

She existed to confirm 'yes, Naruto did get together with Hinata' since Bolt had nothing from her. Kishi quickly made another kid that had Naruto's marks and Hinata's hair.

He also seems to be convinced that its impossible for Salad to be sidelined...when she already has since the first chapter.

Who has passion enough in this story to even hate watch?

Wait Ikemoto favorite character was moegi? Konohamaru's female friend?

Apparently in one of the Light Novel Sasuke's internal thoughts show he actually really respect Hinata and thinks of her as Hinata the Killer of Pein.

Naruto and Dragonball fandom are in competition for the most D-bag fandom of all time. All they do is spout how powerful or great something or someone is, but can't show a single bit of evidence to back it up.

Oh and if you show them something that proves the contrary like say Goku barely lifting 1000 tons or Hinata calling herself selfish they will instantly say that it was a mistranslation OR that they were joking

You mean with twitter or the fandoms part?

Because the fandoms....they don't really show me anything or they gave me a vague scene from one of the movie, but when I show a manga page they call it "non-canon." I never make statements without a back-up source, but these people can't give me anything. They rather try and debunk my statements than provide anything to back up their own statement.

That part of the reason why its pointless to argue with them. Since their pairing won everything they want to be canon is canon and anything they don't want to be canon is non-canon. Any anime filler they want to be is canon if they like it and any manga panel can be non-canon if they don't like it.

They have decided they control what the story of Naruto and Boruto was and anything else they ignore. Your always just bashing you head against a wall in arguing with them.

Yeah, fandoms can be crap.  Like, I've seen people hold up a guy's fanfic to say "you need to read this to understand the game and characters," when not only does the guy get so much wrong it's not even funny he tells people to not listen to the creators. Because, it turns out, the creators have said things that completely blow his interpretation of the game out of the water. Like, people legit use the fanfic to argue what the game is saying and the sad thing is that parts of the fandom treat the guy as an authority, saying he writes or understands the characters better than the writers actually do.

I am not joking. You have to argue against an effin' fanfic when discussing the game's canon. It's surreal to say the least.

...So, fire emblem community and their devotion to Edelgard again, yes?

Honestly, the Naruto fanbase had a problem of basing their version of the Naruto story off of fanfiction.

For example. How the village treated Naruto: in the manga its made clear they pretty much avoided him as much as possible and stared at him coldly when they couldn't. Once he became a public nuisance they treated him like one. In fan fiction they hunted down and killed him every night for being a demon.

One I read describes them raping him every night and beating him brutally

And, they believe that is more canon then anything you can show them. So, eventually, why argue with them?

Yeah. Obvious wasn't it? Honestly, part of me regrets playing the GBA games recently to remind myself why I love the franchise because it pulled me back into this. But Sacred Stones was awesome and while Blazing Blade was unfair the story was great.

I mean, it's not a problem unique to Naruto or Fire Emblem. There were a bunch of old fanbases who had this same problem back when the internet wasn't a big. Sailor Moon fans who view Pluto as some sort of champion of what is essentially Moorcockian Law, or Ranma fans who thought his mother was obsessed with having grandbabies. Sesshomaru being some sort of demonic king in part of Japan. Stuff like that shaped a lot of fanfic circles just before Naruto came out. Even now, I've seen so many fics in the Hamefura fandom where the Fortune Lover version of Geordo is turned into a complete bastard while Katarina is treated as innocent (though, I think there's evidence in the spin-off to suggest the story was more complicated than the game presented).

Maybe it's just the self-indulgent nature of fanfic at work?
