And why would I care about an ten minute OVA dedicated to hypocrites? Let me elaborate. Is this based on "Naruto the seventh hokage one-shot"? If so then there is my point. IN the one shot, Naruto at some point gets the kitten knocked out of him by his own super swiffer haired daughter and misses his ceremony, yet many NH (A.K.A. Hinata) fans think that is HILARIOUS. So ask your self, how many of said fans called Sakura a  b.i.t.c.h. for that exact same reason? Naruto becoming hokage was nothing but  sick laugh. a smack in the kitten for his life long dream. I care NOTHING for it.  :superior: And I repeat, hypocritical humor. Just like I said here

After all you guys comment i decide to watch this video (the last episode i watch is 414 cpr scene it's been like 2 years ago).

But as soon as i heard hinata voice narrating at the beginning of the video i close. :argh: :argh: :lmao: :lmao:

I can't believe they use Hinata voice to narrate this ... it should be Kushina or Sakura voice.

so if the fight hasn't even ended they decided "f uck it lets just make it an ova, our ratings are down and people are still b itching", how unbalanced can you get?...ffs naruto becoming hokage should have been in the freaking manga! not glossed over or worse like here; reduced to a freaking punchline of all things! jeeze its like if simba tripped and fell flat on his face climbing pride rock at the end of lion king and pumba had to go up and do a loud fart to replace the roar

i didn't watch the video, but if there aren't any naruhina moments in it then it clearly indicates that they're slowly killing the ship. since naruto is probably not very popular as it once were, they're hoping to get back the fans that left the fandom after the ending by not showing any more naruhina moments. it does look like they are finally coming to their senses. making naruhina canon clearly did not make the franchise more successful after the ending. instead everything went down spirally, losing a large portion of the entire naruto fanbase. it's a little too late for what they're doing now for most of the fans who left long time ago who are most likely never going to look back to this series again. naruhina is utterly distasteful and sasusaku is a lost cause. the only way this is going to be fixed is if everything in chapter 700 and after that was really nothing but a dream. because chapter 700 really looks like a badly written fanfiction by a naruhina fan that everything in the chapter almost feels like it's happening in a very powerful genjutsu. im very open to that idea, but kishi is really the only one that can turn this around who doesn't care anymore. although i wouldnt be surprised if the anime take on a new direction seeing as the ending was unsuccessful

Naruto still popular since it was number one TV tokyo sales in 2016, in video romance is negated because Naruto fandom hate romance since it bring horrible memories of pairing wars.

That's the impression I suppose. And quite frankly, I'm not surprised. I feel pity for nH and SS supporters for not getting the fan service they wanted.

... And one more thing though, TV Tokyo is not equal to Japan. They're big obviously, but Japanese TV networks operate differently. Meaning top ranking series in TV Tokyo does not automatically mean they are the top ranks in Japan. They're also known to get their bulk of income from licensing (domestically and internationally). And by that, any single cent they could possibly earn from byproducts (typically other media, games, etc).

Just to give you some ideas, One Piece is considered as the most popular anime in Japan, but it is aired on Fuji TV. If I'm not mistaken, the new Dragon Ball series (DB Super?) is also aired on Fuji TV.

If you ever lived in Japan, you'll know what I mean...

I read the article that Naruto is the top sales (#1) in anime category and #2 top gross profit in anime category. Congrats to them, and it's a great achievement, but let's see the context first before we jump to conclusions.

First off, the list only show top sales and top grossing in *anime category*. This is important since TV Tokyo is not producing anime only. There's a bunch of other products too...

And then, let's see the other 4 series in that top 5. You got Yokai Watch, Pokemon, Gintama and Yu-Gi-Oh. Three out of these are aimed for kids. You ask people around in your neighborhood if they knew anything about Yokai Watch, I can assure you that only kid animenews fans would know. Yet, it's holding #1 gross profit.

Let that sink for a while.

To be honest I don't think they even care about the NH fan service, at least the majority of NH shippers.

On Tumblr and other forums, a lot of NH fans are just happy that Himawari kicked Naruto's butt and that Kurama is scared of her. All I saw was praising for Himawari. They were also glad that Sakura and Sasuke aren't in the picture at all since Gaiden and Boruto.

Most also don't really care about Naruto missing the inauguration; they were happy he did.

From what I seen, people are praising Himawari's badassery and as the strongest of the New Gen.

I kinda wish the Naruto inauguration thing stops being recommended to me on Youtube soon. Since they image they have has Naruto stuck in this weird waking up phase face.

Oh the reason for that is simple. (from some of my other posts) "No One! Likes! BOLT!!! Even nH fans know that. So they are desperate to find one of nH children that is likable because if they don't. Then that means Sakura produced a better more likable more interesting child then Hinata. And they can't stand it.

So the daughter must be that child, because it is certainly not Bolt. Let's see. Being a spoiled brat attacking her brother over a stuff toy. In the process knocking her father out. Not caring that she did that. She then processed to hunt down her brother with the plan of beating him up. With an attack that causes internal damage. Ruining one of the biggest days of her fathers life over a stuff toy. Leads to nH fans saying. "What a great character. She was able to beat up the hokage." So instead of caring how far Naruto has fallen. They are trying to raise her up to an imaginary pedestal."

Also here is what they are imaging her growing up as. So what's not to love about her. In there minds.teen_himawari_2_by_fu_reiji-d8ypcx9.jpg

again this was just offensive in every sense of the word. if i was a NH supporter (though i can't imagine why) I'd be so mad. This was supposed to be naruto's biggest triumph, this is what it all was leading too since chapter 1. and not only was it not included in the actual manga and glossed over, not only does naruto get regulated to a punchline once again but "fans" don't even even care. its disgraceful. just goes to show they NEVER cared or never were fans in the first place.

i'm torn. I'm glad he got screwed over. this is their "hero"(more like loser) they wanted to sleep with their perfect princess. the manchild who doesn't know what love is, only wanted something because someone else had it. the manipluative selfish butthole that couldn't keep promises and making the dead roll in their graves.

Again you mention "it's for kids" as your defense. Here my rebuttal most kids aren't/shouldn't be thinking about sex. Sexual fan service is for the teenage to adult part of the fan base. Also why would SP be advertising sex to children?! Also again where are these kids from in your mind. In the US? It hasn't been shown on prime time for years to the point anyone who is a preteen probably can't even remember it. In Japan? Where are desperately trying to bring back that fanbase? Nama shown an example of the kids over there are either. One more interest in One Piece and in my opinion the newer shounen series that started in their life time over Naruto which is over 16 years old now. Two they don't seem to know what Naruto is or don't care despite it still having it anime running.

The story comes off as Kishimoto most likely wrote this to spite his remaining fans especially the nH by one showing how little passion there is in that household and two showing how far Naruto has fallen. Hoping the fans care at least that much about the story that they would see this for what it is. Sadly that was even putting too much faith in them.

They really shouldn't get their hopes up too high, considering Naruto's track record with female characters... I can't imagine that this new guy is going to do much better with female representation than Kishimoto. Going by what I've heard at least.

Judging by that preview of the SNS-like final battle between Bolt and....Nail (i don't care to remember his name) in the first chapter of Boruto. Salad isn't even going to be that important to the plot. Even though out of all the children she is the most popular and most fleshed out. She is most likely just going to be Bolt love interest that they hope will bring fans back with their NS-like pairing. So why would they focus on the youngest of all the children of this generation. When they made it clear even in the first chapter that only Bolt matters to the plot, and the rest are unimportant?

Its logical that western feminist mad with Japanese conservative mangaka, feminist and conservative already at odd for years.

It still rank as number one TV tokyo sales in 2015, Naruto crowd is enormous and gave a lot of money for Shuheisha.  Loosing some self entitled western fans, actually good for fandom because they not fun.

We've explained this multiple times. The anime isn't selling, it's the videogames and overseas licensing that made the bulk of that money. Not even the movies made them much money in the end.

Also, if you read that article thoroughly it explains that Naruto sold more items but brought in less profit. Meaning it cost them money to flood the market with Naruto merchandise. Whereas Yokai Watch sold a little less product but made them even more money than Naruto did.

Okay this will be my first time responding to you so let me just say first of all, welcome.

With that out of the way, you DO  realize how profit and business works right? what you are most likely seeing is the gross amount that Naruto has made. That is total amount of money made, BUT HERE is where it gets tricky. To make that amount of money, you have to spend and lose some money first. For example make advertisements, making the movie, anime, merchandise, you name it. After you have made your money and is all done, you have to take what you made and compare it to how much is lost. For instance Naruto made over 4 million yen? That's great! BUT! here's my question. How much did it cost to make the movies, the episodes, the OVAs, the merchandise, the advertisements etc.? If it costed the company 5 million (as an example) to MAKE those things then they are 1 million yen short (take a few ten or hundred thousands in value) of making back the money that they used to make the stuff to sell. That is not considered a business success. To know whether or not Naruto was successful we have to be privy to how much it costed to make all the things the franchise is selling, Which of course the company would never share this.

Side note* You may not be aware of this but, animation (both anime and movies) in Japan does not make money off of viewership. well maybe cinema works due to ticket purchase but my point still stands. This video will explain a few things
