Thats why the whole Pein event wasnt the boost to NH that everyone thought it was. 

 

Hinata was so irrelevant to the story that any of a number of people could have taken her place in that moment to similar or even greater emotional effect, Konohomaru, Iruka, Lee or especially Sakura, 

 

if Naruto had seen Sakura the person he was in love with at that time Stabbed like that so casually Hed have gone full nuclear probably skipped 7 and gone right to 9

true iruka would be the same as sakura

the thing if sakura did that everyone would blame her for doing that and bash her for putting naruto in such danger.

Oh yeah. I feel Iruka could be the better choice too, but he would do it not because he wants to save Naruto as well as look good in front of him but how he feels it's his duty as his sensei and the first person to believe in him to do it.

right we know there bond and means more than hinata since naruto and iruka have more time on screen together than him and hinata. plus iruka is always looking out for naruto well being

And even when worried for him, Iruka knows what Naruto can do and believes in him since he witnessed firsthand what he can do by being able to successfully do the Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu after hours of practice, which takes a lot of hard work to do!

See, Iruka could had a much more impactful event during the Pain attack, unlike a certain Hyuga who came out of nowhere (also acting like a selfish, lovey-dovey dumb b****) because that's what "the fans" wanted. No, that wasn't what the actual fans wanted in the first place because someone (I bet it was the editor at the time) wanted Hinata for "better" relevancy and to start rile shipping fans. Ignoring the fact that she wasn't even that high of the list in terms of Naruto's important people. 

 

Replace Hinata and that goddamn confession part. Add in Iruka, he can make a great speech about Naruto to provide more impact/heartwarming/approaching suspense to the readers, knowing that he's in "danger of being killed off". Goes in to attack but then Pain counters and stabs him, similar on what he did to Hinata. Cue Naruto becoming 5+ Tails.  

 

Same result but better impact and value to audiences. Not to mention to bring back Iruka to relevancy, in regards of popularity.

Exactly! I can imagine Iruka just having a sixth sense moment after helping with evac, and that he just rushes as fast as he could. After all, Konohamaru was similar, since he came to Ebisu's rescue, and he showed just how much Naruto taught him when he showed he learned the Rasengan from him.

 

And yeah, I totally feel this was the work of Kishi's editors trying to butt in and put too many hands in the cookie jar with the story. Now I think for my fanfic, I wanna do that with Iruka, but what would be different is Naruto going berserk, mostly because he and Kurama would have a rocky, but growing steadily bond after earlier stuff, and that they both feel rage, Naruto feeling it from all Pain/Nagato did to the Leaf as well as killing Jiraiya, Kurama feeling it due to his refusal to be anyone's puppet anymore, leading them to sync up and become a different kind of tails level than just the kind of standard 5 tails he DID take in canon.

that works alot better even from a story point since you get the same result even with minato showing up. and it's more impactful for naruto character and he could have had some development

"People argue that Sasuke was the better suitor because he was the one who Sakura had romantic feelings for, going as far as to say that arguing that she was out of her mind and that Naruto was better would supposedly be sexist. Like forcing Sasuke to marry Sakura when he didn’t have romantic feelings for her isn’t sexist, or making Naruto change his mind to like Hinata isn’t either. This was just an authorial choice. It could have been the other way around just as easily. Basically none of the canon ships had any romantic feelings for their respective partners until the author suddenly decided that they had with minimal to no development.

 

While I’m turned off by Sakura’s rude treatment of Naruto, they still have several cute moments that almost wash it away. But I don’t remember any climatic good moments between Sasuke and Sakura that made me feel for them the same way at all. There is no romantic tension either, no moment when it feels like Sasuke is finally leaning toward Sakura. But I remember several ones with Naruto, too many to list.

 

He was always the one whom Sakura could rely on, he was always present, always kind and loyal, he never willingly did anything to hurt her either, contrary to Sasuke, and contrary even to Sakura herself, who often failed to reciprocate his kindness.

"I'm honestly tired of the feminists in this community. And I don't even know how any self-respecting woman and feminist in the Naruto community can consider the relationship between Sasuke and Sakura as wholesome. Sasuke didn't do much to earn the affection of the girls in his class. He was just talented and a boy with problems that distanced himself. He was basically the edgy teenage bad boy that you would find in some teenage girl romance. And honestly, I can't think of any moments in Sakura and Sasuke's time together as teammates to where I felt genuine love between them. Fans of Sakura always want to try to look for nuances or small moments in their interactions to where they can say they showed feelings for each other. But if most people can't think of those moments on their own, then their relationship obviously didn't have much suggestion of a mutual love.

 

A relationship between Naruto and Sakura would've been better since it would have been good development for her character to move on past someone like Sasuke and be with a person who actually saw worth in her. Am I saying that Sakura needed to be with Naruto to feel self-worth as a woman? No. But that's just not the direction for her character that Kishimoto intended. People can call his writing sexist if they want. But I don't really care. I'm not a woman and I'm not looking for any kind of self-identity with these characters. Even with Naruto, I love his character. But that doesn't mean that I like him because I feel some sort of relatability to him as a man."

The two good post from that topic. The ending pairing rely on the audience building the romance in their minds' and disliking a character. Without that and just watching the show there is barely if any build up and it happens at the last minute.

 

Edit: I'm always confused when people act like Kishimoto never intended Naruto and Sakura to get together. There are several interviews that said that he switched to Hinata because she was popular and Sakura was too hated.
