I agreed.

I guess it tried to be similar to Attack on Titan, where the journey is where we learn the character rather than the mystery, but even that series has something behind it after the whole incident. With this protagonist, he was already established and he was fine with everything, so there's nothing else to worry. Not to mention, the pacing is too fast, so it has no time to set up the tension or anything that is compelling.

The things is that attack of the titans still had the mystery of "what are the titans?" Also that backstory was pretty simple their a giant walls around a country because their these big things called titans that are killing all humanity. The main character lived a peaceful life till a giant titans knock down a wall, and his parents were killed now he seek revenge by going to join the army. Also once again a cast of interesting people instead of just one guy. He on the other hand is fighting Saturday morning cartoon villains who are constantly owned by the main character.

Well, that is true. I was only regarding with the protagonist.

The thing is that Red Sprite just from its first three chapters. (I'll read it once it cancelled to give my full thoughts.) Is that the only interesting character was the Main Character.  So since the manga basically solely relies on the Main Character. Whether someone find the main character interesting or not is far more important to the manga. And far more detrimental when someone doesn't. Most other manga tend to bring in a decent to large cast of interesting characters, so even if you don't find the main character interesting may you'll like another character instead and continue to read the manga. But here? The woman and the boy he rescued only stood out because they have different designs from the rest of the crew, and even then they still look generic. But here he made him a Brazen Badass the only interesting character (other then maybe the villains), and showed us everything at the start.

Well, it does expose the taste of people from YouTube. Not saying that they have bad taste, that's subjective, but I need to know where they're coming from. Now that I know, well, all it takes is to be badass.

Wasn't that obvious? The reason that Dragonball Z is the most popular, most remembered. and highly regraded is not because of its story quality or anything like that. It was the cool concepts like transformation, fusions, powerful attacks, and awesome fights. Why do you think a lot of people find super at times boring? When it's trying to be either funny or make you care about the cast by telling a story. Which isn't what they are really interested in. I assure you they don't really even care about One punch man's or attack of the Titan's story or characters as much as it is more about how cool the character are and the the battle are. Do you really think people like foreverworld and the like even care about the story of say even one piece? If they can't jack off to it or envisions themselves as a cool character, then they are not interested in the manga.

I recalled one person said that dark and edgy is all it takes to be good. Like I like the series because of them. Please don't place me there. That's the same thing I have to deal with when liking One Punch Man. The downside is if I say "I like it before anime," they will think I am being a snob. It's a double edge, but whatever.
