May I point out that although the movie is clearly crappy with brutally honest reviews, it will definitely get a massive audience therefore putting money into the pockets of the fanfiction crew behind it.
1.Every self-proclaimed NaruHina and SasuSaku shipper will see it more than once and buy the DVD once it's released.
2.Most NaruSaku fans will watch it to see how bad it is, out of curiosity, simply to see Naruto and Sakura no matter how crappy and retcon they know it will be.
3.Every NaruHina/SasuSaku fan will get their friends to see it.
4.People who hear it's a good love story will go see it.People who hear it's a bad love story will go see it.
5.Neutrals in Naruto will go see it for some kind of ending.
6.Randoms who've heard of Naruto will go see it because it's both controversial and popular.
7.Everyone who speaks of it badly will merely be advertising it (like the Avatar:The Last Airbender movie).
8.A lot of otakus in Japan will go crazy therefore making the movie even more controversial and well known/heard of.
9.Naruto has a massive fanbase.
10.The last movie of anything gets a massive audience.
Summary-Kishi and his band will get a ridiculous amount of money for releasing a half-assed attempt at a movie, that's "supposedly" about Naruto.The more we revolt the fatter his wallet becomes.
Life sucks.

Sorry I can't quote you, but they're mostly fan reviews although some are from neutral fans.Although some are official reviews, the official reviews are less direct and give it some criticism but not brutally honest raw truths.

Had there been some SasuSaku I would have agreed with you, but fact is, there's none. Not even a itty bitty piece of SasuSaku. Moreover from what I've gathered they are catering only to NaruHina (quite the stupid move if you ask me) I've not seen any SS merchandise.
But, alas, only time will tell, but I sure hope it'll tank.

There are many things to take into consideration if we want to see this movie as a success.
First is the financial success
It should cover costs of production and marketing.
The amount of revenue should be bigger than RTN both in ammount and ratio ( meaning that the amount of revenue relative to production costs should be higher then RTN)
Time. It will take awhile for the movie to be available internationally so even if it earns a lot of money if it's not in a timely fashion it can be seen as a failure.
And there are some more criteria
As for fan reaction it's clear that this movie failed and it endangered any of the future material. So they are going to try to fix some of the bad PR this movie caused
