Lol I can see how he would say this and even how it would happen, I mean does he have a daughter I can just see his daughter asking why he did this to Sakura.

Eh, I find the couples acceptable, The Cursed Child aside. NH and SS are not. So even if he did do that I would not care at this point because of how much the story tarnished Naruto and Sakura's relationship. Forget romance, their friendship was also spat upon, what with the Last Saying Naruto only wanted Sakura as a trophy girlfriend over Sasuke and Sakura knowing it but lead him on anyway, Naruto being so uninvolved with Sakura's life after he did not give her support as a friend for her house or even give Sarada a straight answer to whether Sakura is her biological mother, not to mention they don't even talk anymore according to Boruto. So at this point it won't matter to me if Kishi confirmed they should have been together and married, because he helped make this disgraceful grave for his franchise by being a yes-man to false PR by letting others decide what the fans wanted and not properly concluding the series or Naruto and Sakura's relationship HIMSELF as he should have.

 

To put this into perspective, How would you feel if Hermoine ended up with Malfoy, and Harry miraculously ended up with Cho Chang or actually Romilda Vane, and JK Rowling gives reasons as remotely ridiculous as Kishi did?

I mean I have moved on from Naruto couples that I could probably read a NH fanfic. I read fanfics with NH and SS and I don't feel anyway towards them tbh. I just want Kishi to admit his mistake so I can laugh lmao

I could personally never read them, ever. I want him to admit it, and honestly. It would make me happy to know that Naruto was supposed to be with his dream girl. Even thought that was obvious. Hearing the man himself confirm would be a plus for me. Seeing him do it his way would be even better😁

They would either say it doesn't matter since they won or just say it was a mistranslation. You can't convince them. They believe they are right because the story ended with nH.

It would feel good admittedly, but again Noone that wants to keep what little dignity the series has left would want to do it, least of all Kishi. But karma has struck in a sense, his new samurai 8 manga git canceled about a year give or take after it started. Shows how much of a falling out fans have for his work.

After Boruto ends maybe he'd admit that "NH was planned from the beginning" wasn't true but I ain't convinced he'd go all the way to say that it was a mistake.

Though he really should since NH has to be one of the most boring couples ever written. I stopped reading any fan fiction with them years ago because they have zero chemistry and it doesn't matter who the writer is they have never been able to fix them for me.

Well I used to be a NH shipper when I first started watching Naruto over 10 years ago now. I would say I probably didn't start liking NS until Shippuden. I never liked SS and I got way more problems with that ship than NH.

 

Though even if I was still a NH shipper, the fact that SS happened still ruins the series for me. For a mainstream series like Naruto to allow that to happen really made me take a step back from shipping as a whole, as I haven't been able to trust an author with their characters's relationships again.

Kishimoto never said it was a mistake. The closest is that, it is the last minute since he left the writing of it to the anime staff in the last after he was constantly told Sakura was too hated to be the heroine. Probably learned the truth soon after the ending but can't say it and won't till Boruto ends at best if he ever will.

 

Mentioned this awhile back but it really is: Often someone else points out Hinata likes him, he goes, "what Hinata likes me," they get together, she is now his girlfriend that supports him in all things and that it. The rest of the story is often an ego/power trip where the author spend more time lashing out against the people that mistreated him particularly Sakura and fantasizing how to get back at them.

If Kishimoto admits NS was the real end game, would it change anything? don't think so, he losed his opportunity to be in the same spot as Oda or Toriyama. So personally I'm out of the fando as possible, just visit this forum to know somethings about how is doing Burrito, but don't give a damn about the franchise anymore.

This is exactly WHY I can read any fanfic with NH because they're so boring its ridiculous. No writer can make them work unless Hinata's personality does a 180. Hinata with Sasuke is even worse. Hinata with Kiba is actually the best choice because they actually had chemistry.

Which is kind of what the canon Hinata's personality did too lol. They had to give her more of Sakura-esque features, like being a "scary mom", to try to make her more interesting but it just doesn't work because she was never like that throughout the main story.
