I see a lot of arguments where they say that Hinata can beat Sakura because she has her byakugan and she can cut off Sakura's chakra point easily so she would just whittle Sakura down hit by hit.

I had an argument about this because I showed them that Sakura, according to third databook stats, beats out Hinata in almost every category easily save for taijutsu, but the taijutsu is only maybe a half a point difference while Sakura's stats are one to two points difference from Hinata. No matter how many times I showed proof or showed stats, they refused to accept Hinata losing. They kept claiming Hinata was a better fighter, but I explained that out of all the fights Hinata has fought she has only won one of them. Sakura has won over half her fights. They say that Hinata is faster, but the stats say Sakura is faster. As you showed, they say the byakugan helps her win, but I brought up that Naruto has beaten Neji and he actually tricked the byakugan easily.

That is when they started to jsut say "Hinata wins because I said so." That's when I just said that they can't debate for nothing and refused to accept that Sakura is better. Hell, I even explained that Sakura even has talents in medical which could be the chakra scalpel which can be used as a weapon and poisons. So even just a scratch on Hinata with a poisoned Kunai could end the match easily.

 

I had a similar argument where they said databooks are false as it says Kakashi & Itachi are equal ..but it's not so


later...the guy started arguing over chunin exam arc & Pein arc

that made the argument almost like fighting with a kid for lolipop ..

They started saying how oh Hinata has the byuakugan and she can easily beat Sakura with that but I was like Naruto beat Neji when he used the Byuakugan what do you have to say about that? None of them answered back.

 

The Hyuga have always held a big advantage over their opponents in taijutsu and speed during the few in-depth fights that clan members, more specifically Neji, have had. His opponents were usually either younger inexperienced grunts with run and gun tactics who have no prior experience with the Byakugan, or they specialised in some unique ability that's contrary to taijutsu. Both were statistically inferior to Neji by at least several tiers in most physical categories.

 

Since they've had so few fights in the manga, the rare examples of a Hyuga genius in action becomes the standard by which everyone holds the clan members to. I don't think any Hyuga member has ever fought anyone, in the manga, with the feats and statistical backing to challenge the illusion of Hyuga supremacy in CQC (not counting Kyuubi enhanced Naruto, of course).

But Hinata is a short range fighter and Sakura can either go short or long range. If Sakura decides to fight from long range, Hinata won't even be able to land a hit on her. And I think Sakura has way more chakra reserves than Hinata.

Whoa what. So, five chapters left? I guess I can see the naruto vs. sasuke fight being resolved quickly, but what about everything else? I guess Kishi will skip over and rush through any unresolved plotlines.. or leave some of them to be resolved in the movie (including pairings).

 

That's crazy. Five weeks... I expected it to end soon but not this soon. Not until right before the movie tbh.

Really? Just five weeks? This doesn't give much leeway for addressing the laundry list of unanswered questions still recurring in the manga. Less than half a dozen chapters isn't even enough to give this climatic rematch between Naruto and Sasuke the thoroughness and quality that their first match had really. That damned movie is looking more and more like our only channel source for information and proper resolvement for many of the characters. 

 

Edit: I can only hope that Kishi eventually decides to release a 4th Databook to explain away the readers' questions regarding characters.
