Thoughts...

An okay episode. It's just follow the manga, so nothing too special. The only thing that really stood out for me was the flashback of Itachi and Kisame capturing Roshi. I don't remember that from the manga so yeah....Kinda pointless.

Still, I'm very optimistic about the upcoming episodes. The anime is moving into the most interesting part of the war now. Just think of all the great scenes that have yet to be animated.

I remember this in the manga, but not when. So I checked the wikia and it turns out it was chapter 353.

Ah...

I should have worded that better. My point was that that particular flashback wasn't used in any of the chapter(s) that this episode was based on.

But yeah, you're right. That flashback did appear in chapter 353.

I think the flashback was kinda pointless too, because we've seen it in an earlier episode. It's a repetition.

That was what I remembered it from, and I didn't read the manga during that time.

even Samehada can have flashbacks...but hey one of the coolest fights in the manga starts soon (bijuumode Naruto)
