I mean I can't be the only one thinking that, right? It's seems given. I know NS bond in the movie isn't all lovey dovey, but Sakura's sub-subplot, teases from Naruto's parents, and close bond interaction really speak louder than a normal friendship, or at least comparing to this episode in the end.

Is it stupid of me to say that I noticed during the bath scene Sakura's hair seemed longer and when she got out it was back to its normal length, animation goof or just something to ignore?

Contrary to what a lot of people may think, the best part of this episode wasn't the fanservice but the last 2 minutes where Lee and the others go home. Naruto shuts the door with a big smile on his face which then turns into a solemn look. Walking about, he turns the lights off and the seemingly well-occupied apartment soon appears dead and empty. He goes into his room, sits and eats silently.

This scene in my opinion portrayed Naruto's loneliness more so than anything else even in the manga. It really did hit me. Not only did he really want them to stay longer, but he also didn't want to show it to them. So he shuts the door all the while trying to seem content with the evening , trying not to show that their departure affects him and once they leave the smile dies instantly and his face shows what he really feels.

It's the feeling I used to have when my cousins would leave after coming over to play.

Consistency isn't necessarily prevalent in the anime. Different teams from the studio work on particular scenes and episodes which could account for the conflicting details. Additionally, it could be attributed to the artists wanting to emphasize her features more during a comparatively uncommon scene which is the bathhouse. We see things like this occur throughout the anime.

I hate when i see this, i cant believe why they put a trash animation to the whole battle that was amazing and put all their best quality on a filler selfish declaration of love.

No kidding. I was hyped with a really good animation of Pain destroying Konoha as well as Sakura's cries for Naruto. Then, it all went downhill. It doesn't help that Naruto negated Hinata with his talk to Nagato.......ok.

I guess I should expect that from Perriot by now, and there was some other scenes that seemed off as well towards the beginning with Team Guy looking poorly drawn too.

I don't normally watch the anime but given the response, I checked out this episode, and mannnnn, I love the relationship with Sakura and her parents. Just wish Kishi would of did more with them in the manga but it's a plus that the anime is showing more of her parents.

Sakura in the bath house was pretty gorgeous, and I loved how the hair fell on her face. I've been wanting to draw her like that for quite sometime but it was grand seeing it animated. It was awesome seeing the rookies this episodes, and I actually got a little bummed with Neji since he's dead in the manga.

Overall, I'll definitely tune into these episodes.

Wow this episode was exactly like the oneshot!
I guess they wanted more dvd sales....
Decent episode, although I the did notice is that Naruto is still very much alive. When Jiraiya peeped on Tsunade he was nearly killed, but all Naruto got was a bruise on the cheek. The real question here is whether Naruto is a lot more durable or if Sakura showed mercy.

Can't tell. But I think it would've been funny if he landed in the hospital with Yamato and Tsunade visiting him and saying: "I thought you would've learned from Jiraiya's experience. Luckily, you're a Jinchuuuriki, so you'll get out of here faster than Jiraiya did"

My favorite part would be Shikamaru in that scene. Shikamaru trying to hint Chouji that they shouldn't try to mention their parents around him. It really shows how Shikamaru is the most understanding of Naruto among his friends. It makes me facepalm at Naruto's obsession of Sasuke Sasuke is not the only friend he has. There's more of his friends who would help and support him no matter what. This prologue proved it.

It kinda makes me wonder why Kishi never developed more of ShikaNaru friendship. I could see that both being orphans, Sasuke and Naruto connect with each other on a different level. But Kishi never developed it as well as he should have. However, we recently have Shikamaru losing his father in the manga. If this is a way to build the bond between them, then Kishi shouldn't have resurrected Minato. Don't get me wrong, I loved the fact that Minato is resurrected and am enjoying the fanservice. But it messes up the story.

On a slightly related note, am I the only one thinking that Obito switching Guy and Kakashi's personalities in AU is some sort of roundabout way of getting revenge on them both for their childhood?? I like to think that Obito could barely stabilize Tsukuyomi every time he sees AU!Guy and AU!Kakashi interacting, giggling at the thought of seeing their faces when they find out what he did to them in AU .

Loved the episode, gave me a very similar naruto feeling...and the way sakura powered ul xD Just like kushina in rtn.....agh perfect daughter in law eh?

The part were naruto was mumbling to himself "I didnt even get to get a peak anyway...." hahaha mumblimg about failing to peek on sakura...dont worry naruto....the time will come.....

Yea thats actually the part that made me feeel sorry for him. If he had to get hit he might at least get to do the crime.

This episode definitely had some of the most beautiful animations (Sakura and Naruto looked amazing!!). It kinda made me disappointed in the actual RTN movie. If only the animations could be as similar to this episode.

Overall I loved it. It was very cute, yet bittersweet.
