It was beautiful.. i remember my live reaction I almost had a tear drop.. that's how amazing the moment was for me when it came to TouKen.

Anyway on a percentage from 0 to 100% how close are we from seeing TouKen become canon?


I wanna say we're about 90% to 95% there with this chapter.

Ahhhh, I've never been so happy before until today to be a Touken shipper. Kaneki realizes Touka's feelings for him and remembers how he used to often come to the coffee shop to stare at Touka. This was written so nicely. Thumbs up, Ishida.

Gah it was amazing, I was so giddy this morning. Like they both laid out their feelings, Touka acknowledged that she likes him, Kaneki admitted offhandedly that he did too. We got the reason why Kaneki left her behind, and it was such a pure reason, that he was legitimately frightened that she would die, and she said that she felt that now. Not to mention, she basically said that they can have sex when the time comes LOL and then they're gonna go together!

That was literally one of the most well written scenes I think I've ever read.

Yeah, lol like last week some idiot got blocked by Ishida himself because was hating on Touken. There were people pushing this idea in spoilers that Kaneki rejected Touka whatnot. It was so funny.

Also, I hate Mutsuki lol hated Mutsuki for a while now

I say 90 - 95 %. Just needs a 5 -10 % of some other Touken moment/s that leads for them to be canon. That's what I think Ishida will do with them. Unless he wants to add some drama in between.

As bold as Touka was about asking Kaneki about his virgin status, it's pretty obvious she's a virgin herself. It just shows how much how long she has been waiting for him.

Lol, did you notice how Kaneki was drinking out of an empty cup twice XD?! Dude was so nervous. He can command a whole organization, but needs Banjo to talk with a girl.

I'm legitimately scared for Touka right now though. This was TOO good on its own. Something bad will happen.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, though at this point in the series I don't see Ishida adding unnecessary drama between Touka and Kaneki unlike what happeend before with another series. 

 

That's like comparing amazing food from a five star restaurant to a five star restaurant that serves food that tastes like kitten.

That makes two of us.. I was originally happy for what she was able to against Torso, but that scene ugh.. "images"  don't even wanna think about it.. it's crazy to think where re started because I remember I hated Urie in the beginning, and I was behind Mutsuki, but now it's a complete reversal I think Urie is a great character, and man I'm looking forward to a reunion scene between him and Kaneki that I can tell is gonna be emotional. 

 

I think what made it even more hillarious was that he even thought of relying on Ayato when it came to that situation too.. like you know things are bad, when he has to rely on Ayato for "Women" lol Though, sipping the empty cup of coffee was gold too, but at the very least we know they're gonna get together at some point.

 

 

You know imagine if it wasn't Tsukiyama, but Hinami that walked in I think that would've been hilarious.

 

 

 

I'm worried for Touka too, but Mutsuki this is it.. I can see her death scene coming from a mile away.. Actually the thing that worries me more than anything is Yoriko and Touka's reunion because of a huge possibility that Tokeomi  getting killed in this arc. Just imagine the tension that'll come between the two of them if Yoriko finds out.

Yeah, her remarks make it crystal clear she was waiting this entire time for him. I'm glad that he finally knows someone loves him.

That was so funny! He was so flustered, and Touka was enjoying making him nervous LOL He can handle women fine, it's just Touka that he needs Banjo and even Ayato lmao

I’m not worried about whatever is gonna happen to Touka (like I’m worried, but I’m not worried at the same time). I don’t think Ishida will kill Touka (and I really, really, really hope he doesn’t). Basically, I remember Kaneki’s conversation with Hide (himself) against Arima, and how he said that Kaneki needs to find a reason to live and I think that whatever will happen to Touka will give him that last little push and he’ll end up realizing he wants to live for her. So I think that while something may happen to Touka, I don’t think it will be too serious, or she will turn out fine regardless for that very reason.

So I expect something bad to happen, but at the same time think everything will be alright.

Nah. Touka will be fine. It doesn't seem that she'll be killed if something seriously bad happened with her. Besides, the protagonist, deuteragonist and tritagonist rarely die in any story.

Ok my shock is gone so I can speak properly lol the conversation between kaneki & touka was one of the best panels that the manga currently holds. It makes me so happy how their relationship has changed. So excited to see their relationship develop even more.

I hated Mutsuki in the beginning then became chill with Mutsuki but after that....I just kept getting upset with her so I went back to hating her, tired of her nonsense lol

Damn I mean I know I read Boku No Hero Academia before Tokyo Ghoul so IzuOcha was my #1 for a long time, but I have to admit after the last chapter and especailyl this chapter TouKen is definetly my #1 ship in an ongoing series, and I'm proud to accept that I mean.. it's crazy to see how far these two have come since the beginning of the original series. It's so honest and pure, and emotional too.
