It's odd because it feels like if he wants to succeed, do it in chapter 8 of the volume. Fails, well next chapter to 7. That's just me.

I say kishi will give obito 2-3 chapter to shine and reveal madara's trump card. Then, it will probably take another 2-3 for madara to get rid of obito so goes to chapter 7,8 of the volume.
