I also like to point out that Sasuke is likely very gulliable recently (well, I'm not sure that's the right word to say that is his trait though it can make more sense if more of Madara's manipulation comes into play towards Sasuke). It can be useful because now he's very arrogant, not to mention egotistical as a recent antagonist.
Well, to be honest Sasuke has been a rather gullible person since the series began. I think it's one of his character traits that he's easily duped. As in he's a genius in ninjutsu but easily swayed or manipulated as a tradeoff. It's gotten worse recently, but I'd argue that it's a trait that's been there since the beginning.
