#956614 Ending with SS in a good way

Posted by Kasimir38 on 30 November 2017 - 08:49 AM

Canon doesn't mean logical. It also doesn't mean that it sounds reasonable in the sense of storytelling. Most people on this site couldn't care less what is "canon" and what is simple speculation. Because if we would just look at "Kishimoto confirmed" and "canon it is", then we should take everything seriously that was ever confirmed in official Naruto publishment, and thus, never question its credibility.

Back to topic:

I feel like Sasuke is slowly changing in Gaiden/ Boruto. It's the first time I actually find him sympathical. So...maybe...he will make up for the time he was away? Because ending SS in a good way is Sasuke apologizing and making up for his mistakes and maybe this is something that will come to happen?

You mean this?

That's exactly what I meant. I don't know why they would include such petty changes? Probably they don't have much time drawing each panel, so they couldn't look it up. Or they did and decided: Let's change this and that...But why? lol.

#956518 Liking Hinata and hating Sakura

Posted by Kasimir38 on 29 November 2017 - 04:02 PM

The pro-enders always talk about how Hinata "deserves" Naruto because she some how had to prove herself to be Naruto's love interest. What's the best way to prove to someone you belong to them? By acting like their property. Remember, nowhere does any of these people say that Naruto "deserves" Hinata. They only say Hinata "deserves" Naruto. Why is that?

This is not about love or feelings. I mean, if it did, you'd think Naruto's would have been noticed right? Nah, you see true love is not about how you feel anymore. It is about how much someone "deserves" you and the only way to prove that is to show how loyal they are to you. Are they willing to jump in front of a bullet? Are they willing to ignored everyone else, but you? Are they willing to do everything at your beck and call no matter how mundane or sexist it may be?

I guess my way of love is different, but in the Naruto universe this is supposedly how love works now-a-days.

The main argument for NH is Hinata being loyal to Naruto and liking him before everyone else, trying to sacrifice herself blabla. But- what about Naruto? If I counter with: Doesn't he "deserve" to be also with the one he always loved? It's like Naah. Naruto's feelings don't count. Sakura showing her affection? Doesn't count. Hinata deserves him because she was the first that liked him. Like, Naruto needs someone who "deserves" him. It sounds a bit like arranged marriage.

[Sakura? No, Sakura isn't the right one for him. She didn't like him from the start, having prejudices.Did she change? Well, yes, but a bit too late! Look at Hinata! He never noticed her? Well, but she's perfect for him! Always admired him...She will be a great wife. No one will complain. What does the husband think? I DON'T CARE WHAT THE HUSBAND THINKS! This is about what other people will think about them! Obviously, they like Hinata. We don't need that...new - age relationship stuff!]

Tbh, I don't think she deserves him just because she always liked him. She wasn't "there" for him. (Also one of the main arguments) She didn't stand up for him whenever he was bullied. She was just in the background, and the only time she actually did something was in the Pain arc, but wasn't really helpful. (Remember the times Sakura risked her life for him? Don't count!)

Just my opinion.

But another example: Just imagine a series in which the main hero is doomed to marry his fangirl and forget about his long - term crush which slowly warmed up for him just because that fangirl was his first fan ever. That's how I feel about NH.

First: T'was not love, and second, the Last creates the implication that Naruto held unknown feelings for quite some time. The argument doesn't work.

We see why Naruto did get with Hinata. The difference is that Kishimoto is showing that having enduring love for someone lost, and switching to the next cool guy, when Sasuke was originally such a cool guy, is shallow. That's the point of "shallow" here. Not whatever you are  trying to mean by it, given you misattribute NH completely here.

Well, it was love.

Or would you agree with Sakura's words that he only liked her because of a competition with Sasuke? Actually, If you pay close attention, it is something Sakura says while encouraging Naruto to go after Hinata. It is nothing Naruto ever confirmed nor it's something Sakura had to mean serious since she only tried to help Hinata here.

Second, The Last doesn't really link to the main stories, we remember the scene with the scarf? I don't remember it from the main story, so the Last can come up with some things that don't make sense. Sadly, are still canon. I give you that: Naruto's love for Hinata and their great chemistry is something Kishimoto made canon with his words, but not something that makes sense for most of us here.  - Third, love is also the love friends have for each other. :nsdance:

Sakura wouldn't have been shallow moving on from Sasuke because she wouldn't do it just because Sasuke was "lost" or Naruto became "cool", she stood loyal to Sasuke as you see. She would be shallow if she stopped thinking Sasuke was cool and jumped over to the next cool guy in the town - Naruto. But we all know that they had been friends for many years, and developing feelings for someone who has gone through so much with you isn't shallow. I disagree with Kishimoto's fear of making Sakura shallow with a change of heart.

Naruto forgetting about his crush on Sakura and moving on to Hinata isn't shallow, too. It's most likely hard to believe, but if we listen to Sakura's word for once, "girls" don't change their heart so easily. She kind of excluded boys so let's assume that Naruto can change his feelings easily. Shallow would be if Hinata would become a princess or something like that and Naruto would kind of think of her more highly and forget about Sakura in an instant.

#956189 Analysis of NS scenes post-ending

Posted by Kasimir38 on 26 November 2017 - 08:12 PM

That is not an expression you give food, also not an expression you have if you lost a "competition". That is clearly the expression of someone who realized that his crush was not returned and who stepped back in consideration of the other person's feelings. I always thought that Naruto appeared to be very mature and really loved Sakura because he was able to suppress his own feelings for her sake. Like: I have feelings for this girl, but she has feelings for this boy and I have to accept it because I respect her/them.

Not: I lost against Sasuke in a stupid and childish competition.

See the eyebrows? Ever heard of the term: Darwin grief muscle? Translated into sadness. Why should Naruto show suppressed sadness if he didn't understand what was going on?

I give the scene a 3 because the story was still young at that point.

#956103 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Kasimir38 on 25 November 2017 - 01:03 PM

Is there actually a site that has collected all NaruSaku moments?
Would be interesting to see how many it are.

The ones I remember are only a few from memory:
Sakura cries over Naruto until he wakes up

Naruto saves Sakura from Sasuke

Sakura and Naruto see each other after 2 years.

Sakura embraces Naruto infront of everyone else

The ramen scene

and many other (filler) scenes in which they both care about each other, Sakura watching over Naruto as long as he's sick, Naruto mentioning his crush for Sakura or Minato asking Sakura if she was Naruto's girlfriend

I was watching some AMV's and kind of felt sad again ...

NARUSAKU  :nsdance:

#953034 Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Anime Discusion

Posted by Kasimir38 on 25 October 2017 - 07:34 AM

It's not about that , it's just like .... for example you want to buy a fish or meat but you come to vegetable/vegetarian shop. If i like Boruto then this is not the place for me. People gonna disagree with me i should have come to the pro ending forum.

I get what you mean. Worshipping Hinata and Boruto is not tolerated.  :ninja:  :plots:

NO worries, I am an NS fan! :nslove:

But that doesn't mean I cannot try to look at the positive aspects of everything that happened after our ship went down. I just try to be as neutral as possible about the Boruto series. At first, I disliked it much, everything about it and especially the names of the children lol. But I gave it a chance and actually grew fond of it. (seeing everyone as an adult, Shino becoming a more important character, Sakura being OP)

I think this is a Boruto discussion thread, not a Boruto - bash thread, am I wrong? :zaru:

#952801 What if Sasuke had killed Sakura during the Land of Iron arc?

Posted by Kasimir38 on 23 October 2017 - 10:56 AM

Thought about that too...Sadly, they also take away precious friendship moments. What's with that attitude? I now have a wife/kid and don't care about you anymore? Is this how it works in real life, too? :omfg:

#952793 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Kasimir38 on 23 October 2017 - 08:59 AM

Junko is the anime voice actor. You know, the anime that botched so many things. She's not the best source, as she's not truly attached to the work like an author or an editor would be. It's at most interesting, and I really wouldn't take it more then that.

Because if you do, Junko actually thought Naruto would end up like Jirayai, single, but she was happy that Naruto did find love, to, you know, show that it wasn't unenjoyable for her, thus this Ta-Da thing isn't much of a negative, when you build in the rest of the context.

Don't want to sound rude...But why is it that you always have to contradict with other people?
I think the voice actress of Naruto himself is a pretty decent source since voice actors put feelings and emotions into a character and make it alive...thus they know the character itself pretty well and if she is/was an NS shipper, that does say much about it. I don't know her well, but I believe that being against NH would not suit a professional very well- since you don't bite the hand that feeds you... But you really have to differentiate between "fact" and "context".

Of course, Kishimoto would defend his purposes, in the end, so everything that speaks against NS is a fact. But in context, in a more reasonable, logical interconnection, NS has its existence.

My personal favorite picture!  :D

Still wish Naruto had his longer hair, but it's still some heartwarming art!

That's what I call a dynamic family! That Sakura picture though

Aaah....the beauty, the grace... :thanks:

Actually, I picture him flipping out and suddenly realizing how much he loves Sakura. Him not mourning over her would be very very very strange, considering what he freaked out about already soo... Sasuke would probably not survive that.

#952167 Do you want a relationship as a narusaku relationship in your personal life?...

A relationship based on a strong friendship? Yeah well, what more could you ask for? xD

#951878 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread

Posted by Kasimir38 on 14 October 2017 - 08:30 PM

Welcome to the fam, Kasimir :)

And yeah, I don't got a real problem with NaruHina, but in the long run, I woulda enjoyed it more if it ACTUALLY had what NaruSaku has; a lot of development to make it make sense instead of just rushing it for the sake of appealing to a small base of fans.

Thank you for the welcome :)
And I feel you...

I also don't really see why Hinata should, narratively or even theoretically, speak up.. Naruto -tried-. Narratively I get it, because this is Boruto's story, not Naruto, and if there was no conflict, then you'd have no chronic tension, which would really weaken your story. As thus Hinata defends Naruto, and I understand -why- she does. I also think Sakura would also defend Naruto here.

I don't think it really matters who Naruto is with in this example. He's an over-worked Hokage, and it's implied before that the eldest son spent a ton of time with his father and now he doesn't. There's a high chance pretty much anyone, relating to this personally, would feel some shade of what Boruto is going through, even if it isn't quite the dramatic example the movie makes it out to be. Naruto's job is comparable at most to the President. It's difficult as a spouse to criticize them trying to take care of the entire village as leader, particularly when they are making an attempt.

My own father could not make Christmas everytime because the military required him otherwise, and if he was about to get home he could get called back any moment. Honestly it would have been nice if he could have sent some aspect of himself.  Birthdays were missed because of it, and on planned family vacations, sometimes he had to stay behind. This, I consider, a lesser extent to what Naruto handles, given his responsibility is even greater. So I -get- Naruto's position, and too would defend his circumstances. Thus it's a good, plausible conflict for Kishimoto to work with, given I believe he too can relate to it. I think as fathers it is a painful price, because I strongly believe if he could, he -would- send a shadow clone to those occasions to share it with him.

But that's my own thoughts, kind of based of having the same circumstances occur to myself.

Even though I get what you mean, I don't agree with the Sakura point here. She would probably defend him in this situation, but later on, have a talk with him about what happened as she often speaks her mind. On contrary, Hinatas mindset is different, as being kind and lenient is part of her characteristics. Not being understanding would be ooc for her.

My thoughts always were Naruto being some kind of mayor since Konoha isn't very big, is it? But yes, he has much work to do and there is much responsibility on his shoulders. And that includes not having time for his children.- even though not attending his own daughters birthday is very Naruto - unlike. I am sorry offending your theory, but I think Hinata has a major role in this, since Naruto distancing himself from his children is kind of related to her understanding attitude. Everyone thinks different about things like that, but my opinion is that ignorance is not always bliss. All in all, Naruto hasn't  shown himself from his most fatherly side, and I recall the way he treated his own son in the arena. Would he be a better father with Sakura by his side? I don't know, there are two possibilities: Either, she would be as understanding and lenient as Hinata, or she would have a talk with him. I always pictured her to become very angry and rush to his Hokage office, smashing the door open, yelling: NARUTOOOO :sakura:

Just kidding, but she is obviously more spirited than Hinata. Even though she is more mature now, keeping a low profile about things that bother her is also ooc.
