#967912 Boruto: The NeverEnding Prologue Chapter 26

Posted by winter-serenade on 02 September 2018 - 06:46 PM

Oh yeah just wanted to add how strangely unappealing Ikemotos art is. Like, its not anatomically wrong, his linework is fine, the dynamic poses are interesting and i like how he colors page spreads yet somehow he manages to make the characters look ugly. I think the way he draws the eyes and the shape of the faces makes the characters unappealing to look at. Look at hinata, she doesn't look like a 30 year old, grown woman.. she looks like shes 14 which is terrifying, theres no maturity in her face. Salads facial features are those of a child but her facial expressions are that of a grown up which is equally unsettling when you see what she wears and what she says.

Ikemoto's style isn't fit for shonen to me. At least, not Naruto's style. His style would fit in better in a seinen manga.

I was rereading Naruto and was reminded of how terrible of a job Hiruzen did with Orochimaru. He let him off the hook despite clearly seeing him do human experimentation and putting the pieces together that he was behind the disappearances of some Leaf citizens. Hiruzen inspired Orochimaru to seek rebirth and immortality, as seen in the flashback when Sasuke faces Orochimaru.

Also, Naruto, despite going ballistic over Orochimaru claiming Sasuke as his, and despising him for causing Sasuke to leave Konoha, doesn’t order for Orochimaru to be locked up or executed? Does anyone know his status, because correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think he’s locked up or anything. Very confused.

I have a friend who said that even if narusaku did become canon we would still get boruto as their son because thats what kishimoto had in mind. I don't know about himawari but i think that has some truth to it.

Well Kishimoto forgot to give the kids Byakugan at first if I recall right, so I doubt he had anything “in mind”.

Just saw this. I cant stand how he let his story be wrecked by studio Pierrot

I have to admit, reading this makes me feel bad for both him and Oda, especially the latter one. His comparison of Jump to a stream/rapids/a river of acid caused me to gain a new perspective on him and his struggles as the creator of a popular manga. I'm still mad over him giving us that horrific ending, but there's a sense of sympathy for him in my heart.

#966604 Sakura was written to be Disliked

Posted by winter-serenade on 06 July 2018 - 06:14 PM

This video seems to be false. On of the comments summed up a contradiction of this pretty well. Kishimoto said in one of his interviews the he was surprised at how much hate Sakura had garnered. If he actually planned for her to be hated, he probably would’ve stated he was pleased instead of surprised.

I was watching youtube like always when i saw video "Top 10 Anime Where Bad Boy Fall In Love With Girl". At first glance i was like ... meh nothing special , but my brain suddenly like get zap and i was like "Oh let's see if that abomination a.k.a sasuke and sakura was in this video" ..... and it was not in the video , i was like "Thank kitten for that". But i decide to look at the comment section to see if there is a monster would comment demand that SS should be in this video (Sorry whoever support SS is a monster in my eyes). And there is .... now the video is new and there's 1 comment that say "Where is sakura and sasuke?" with 1 like from the uploader and the comment was posted 55 minutes ago , i bet the upvoted and SS supporter will keep coming there.

I always facepalm whenever i saw a human being support SS relationship. NH i can slightly understand , but SS ???

The only time I would understand the appeal of SS is from the Chunin Exams arc to Sasuke’s departure from the Leaf. Post-Departure, I honestly can’t understand it at least in terms of Sasuke-> Sakura. They was literally no evidence. Well, there were interactions, but they were all negative.

Some argue that the times Sasuke tried to kill Sakura were either in self-defense and/or because he was mentally unstable, but what about the war arc where he lets her almost drop in lava without sparing a second glance? He was sane of mind, and they were on the same side. Where’s the excuse for no concern?

The only thing keeping NH down is their lack of interaction and Naruto’s romantic feelings for Sakura. If I had to pick the lesser of two evils, I think the answer is obvious.

Honestly, there’s very little chance of there being many interactions between them. Maybe we get a couple, but not much. It’s not going to be a romantic interaction because they’re married, obviously, but at least show some best friend moments between them. Just classic NaruSaku moments. It’s not much to ask of.

I can't feel bad for Hinata anymore. In the end, she truly got what she wanted. She's now the "heroine" of the story instead of mean old Sakura. She holds the wonderous title as the very first "heroine" to have less than 1% panel time in a manga. She got married to her dream boy, granted there were some unorthodox ways of getting him to fall in love with her despite loving his teammate for so long (i.e an illusion), but Hinata will accept those means, I'm sure. Everybody loves her huge breasts and/or submissive attitude. What more could she want? What more could she gain?

"Rule of thumb" in Naruto. If you are a woman, you are either pairing fodder, WERE pairing fodder, or wish to be pairing fodder :zaru:  :th_yeah:

Or have your potential wasted.

There was so much potential that was just thrown away. Kekkei tota is one of them that Im pretty interested in. Onoki has dust release, which is one. And one is mentioned in Gaara Hiden. But we don't get any background. Thats one thing im pretty pissed about.

I remember start of Part 2 Naruto manga serialization, I and a lot of others were so surprised at how well Kishimoto was developing Sakura, and gave her opportunities to shine, especially during the Sasori arc. And then after the Tenchi bridge, he just started blatantly ignoring her, tried to make her relevant during the war arc, and then brought her right back to her 13 year old self in the last 10 chapters.

Artfully crafted I'd say!

Even after I die, Ill never forgive him equalling Sakura's level of importance to Kiba. Never.

Ah, yes, the coolest guy who murdered countless shinobi who were fighting to protect themselves. Disgusting.

#964742 SasuKarin Appreciation Thread

I found it really strange as to why Sasuke would smile at some random girl. He was stressed out with trying to get a scroll.
And Sasuke rarely smiles yet???

And he actively seeks her out to form Taka. A chapter cover tells us he sees her as the strongest kunoichi. Even when she may start something with Suigetsu, he never tells HER off, just Suigetsu.

The only time he ever did something negative to her was while he was kitten crazy, in which he wasn't himself.

He thanks her for saving his life multiple times, unlocked a power thought to do the impossible SOLELY for her. In fact, they both unlocked new, powerful techniques for each other. Tobirama mentions the Sharingan reflects the heart.

The moments made it super obvious, but Kishimoto must've not noticed. Which is pretty strange, considering HE was the one who implemented those moments.

#964739 So if NH and SS were planned end pairings, then why....

Posted by winter-serenade on 04 May 2018 - 06:20 PM

I'll never get over how Kishimoto says he planned NH from the beginning, yet at one point forgot to give their kids Byakugan.

#964569 Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Anime Discusion

Forgive me, but this is one thing I never got. In what way is Salad more interesting or is she decent? I just see the same drama ver and over again with the only change being how short Salad's outfit gets or how slutty she looks from time to time. She seems like a petty child trying to rebel against her parents only to come off as a brat herself.
Maybe I am just not seeing it or maybe I just know that eventually they are just going to ruin her like they ruined every other female...if they havent done it already.

To some people, it might be more of picking the lesser of two evils to tolerate. Id damn sure prefer Sarada over Boruto anyday, anytime. But Saradas an interesting character because, not only is she not annoying unlike the latter, but shes a collected individual. Thats why I enjoy her. I dont think shes a brat, because unlike Boruto who has it much better yet still complains, Sarada rarer than rarely sees her dad, and had a crisis of whether or not Sakura was her real mother. If I did think she was, those factors alone would have me let it slide.
