This is something that's been on my mind for a very long time and it all connects back to Sakura, and how most of the fanbase bashed her and still do this day because she was only viewed as a pathetic love interest with minimal spotlight in in terms of fights. At the same time, this is where I kinda started thinking of how other fanbases treat the main female character, and their stance when it comes to the representation of that particular main female character. I remember a particular character from a well known series that got a lot of haters in the beginning, but over time got huge praise and changed the perception of most haters.
You see unlike most people in the fanbase when she was introduced, I actually liked Ahsoka and the interaction she had with her master Anakin in The Clone Wars Movie (I think that was the only redeeming part of the movie for me). I always kinda saw her as the Luke Skywalker of the clone wars in terms of potential and you know what years later comparing her to Luke Skywalker can be made clearly. It's also interesting to see the same people that initially hated Ahsoka would grow to love her overtime especailly with what she's offered in Star Wars Rebels.
What Main female characters do you guys know fans hated intially, but grew to love overtime?
