Kishi killing off Madara when he's finally coming into full power...? Somebody's been watching Game of Thrones!
Sasuke's treatment of Sakura - ugh! If I were her, I'd tell him to stick that plan of his, no matter how good it was. I wouldn't do a d@mn thing he said after that.
So...I think Sasuke's abrasive behavior is strange - like it's suddenly become too harsh. I think it's a set-up for two things: short-term, that Sasuke will step into the power vacuum and take control, so he's asserting his authority now, in a lead up to that; and long-term, Sasuke's abrasiveness can be 'corrected' in an endgame, deathbed redemption, when he finally apologizes to the girl who's only supported him and the sensei he's put down, before acknowledging Naruto as a true best friend.
Anyway, I think particularly with Sakura, Sasuke's attitude is now set-up for something at the end, some final recognition of her, her power and her value on the team. Because his snub had nothing to do with a relationship. He just looked at her and said "You're still a dead weight, and now Kakashi is too." Holy crap. Why didn't Naruto push him out into the moonlight right then?! Man.
The rest of the chapter had heavy shipping overtones. Naruto/Hinata; Shikamaru/Temari; Lee/Sakura; Tsunade/Dan; Choji/St. Pauli Girl; even Ino/Sai (Ino/Sasuke doesn't count, cause we already knew that).
I think that Hinata's dream state proves that her infatuation with Naruto isn't over by a long-shot. I saw some posts saying that because it's in a dream state it is destined to not come true.... I wouldn't say the dreams can predict the future of what's going to happen in their reality (like 'yes! this is proof NH will happen!'). Instead, I think this is definitely proof that Hinata is still focused romantically on Naruto. And I don't think her feelings are going to change until the very end.
And that's okay. Cause I think it's been shown very clearly that Sakura's feelings toward Naruto have changed, and Naruto knows where his heart lies (he told his father explicitly) and now it's just up to him to confess. The specter of NH is going to be there in some way, shape or form until the last chapter.
