Maybe it is a publicity stunt for the video game company. The best stunts are those no-one knows about. The ridiculousness of this event might classify it under "publicity-stunt" because who in their right mind would do such thing. Just because there is nothing to support that theory does not in-validate it actually makes it some-what probable that it is a well hidden "stunt" for the video game itself.

Erm, how is it a publicity stunt, exactly? No one's cared to summon the courage, nor a good reason for such, to back that up yet.

Well I guess it isn't a publicity stunt but more of a plea for attention he may just be lonely or he could have an undiagnosed case of Münchhausen syndrome or there is the possibility that he really does love his pixels so much he would marry them. Who knows why he did this only he knows I can only hold a personal opinion based on what i know of the situation.

Sorry I'm not a psychologist i just did a quick google check on diseases that cause the need for attention and read an article or two and it looked like it would work.

See, if he was into attention, he would reply negatively to the media and the comments. In the video I linked, there was live streaming of Nico Nico Douga's comments and most of them were negative.

Sal9000 if he had an issue like that, he would go bat insane, throw a hiss fit and call everything off. Münchhausen syndrome is really complicated to detect due to it's sensitive nature. It involves self-mutilation, hospital hopping, extravagant lying and a background of psychological trauma. And sometimes physical.

Not to mention is more common on women.

Ohh Yes! Gestalt/Wundt/Watson/Freud, I remember a little Psych, I took a intro class and decided not to pursue it. I thought it was interesting though with the cognitive theories and what not. It surprised me when I actually done better on the Anatomy part than some of the other tests in the class.
