What do you guys think of this conclusion? Do you think it's a dream breaker for little girls who loved Hello Kitty as a cat? Do you think the Sanrio company is stupid for this decision?

I never saw her as a cat or a person. Who knows maybe she's a hybrid or something and a total freak of nature.....or she could just be a furry.

I think that you should elaborate a bit because I am confused -and I suspect that I am not the only one-. Has Sanrio done some official statement? May you please give us a link?
Anyway... Hello Kitty is supposed to be a normal girl? WHAT? How can that be possible?
Maybe would they mean that she is supposed to be a normal female cat? Or soemthing like that?
I am not very interested in Hello Kitty, but she is everywhere and she is a worldwide icon. It is dangerous making drastical changes to an icon. Let's use Superman like an example. Does someone remember when DC did this?:
Half Superman fans do not remember it, and the other half wish they did not. Unshockingly, DC returned to the Superman likeness quite soon.
So maybe this decission will be reverted soon, or Sanrio will pretend that it never happened. So do not worry about it. I doubt that it catches on.
Do you want to take over the world, huh? Well, you'll have to go through us first!

I am NOT worried! I am NOT a fan of Hello Kitty!!
And here is the article.

That surprised me too. She's a normal British girl who goes to school. If I had a daughter I'll never let her enroll in a school that furball attends to. Too creepy.Lol, I remember reading the article about this a few days ago. They even said she was British, which kinda confused me, since I always thought Hello Kitty was japanese in the first place. She is a girl, but she's not a "normal" girl. Maybe calling her a girl cat sounds a little bit better.

Really? That furball looks like a cat no matter what. She has whiskers, white fur, and cat ears. How come she doesn't look like a cat to you? Are there anything wrong with my eyes?
This looks like a cat too

...a normal girl? As in a human girl? o.O
First off, why the creator said that? I mean, Hello Kitty is a cartoon character (I remember the TV show that was aired very early in the morning on Toon Disney back in the day) and she's a cartoon cat. So why I have to believe that she's a human girl?
What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!

Dorkly (Run by College Humor) had a great little comic on this.

Yeah this just doesn't seem like something Sanrio would do, I mean she's been around for years now and all of a sudden to say everything we knew was a lie doesn't make sense.

this sounds like one of those fan theories. I like reading those. the one about the rugrats all being a figment of angelica's imagination was weird. I think it started from a site called creepy pasta.

She has a last name, it is 'White' and she has a pet cat.
What's wrong with her being a normal cat that is a girl?

Hello Kitty is not a girl or a cat. She's Hello Kitty. She's her own thing. Why can't her marketeers understand that instead of species shaming?!?
