Got a cool new camera! My hubby was upset cuz I spent the money.. but I did my homework and got a great deal for only $99. I think since I'm breastfeeding and saving money on formula I deserve a treat... besides I need a good camera for all the milestones Molly will be hitting! I've already got a few pictures of her smiling and she only smiles when she's farting LOL

Last weekend we spent 3 nights away from home. Stayed at a friends house for another friend's wedding. John was a groomsman so we had to be there for rehearsal and partying! I had my first drinks since last December. Molly was a doll! Everyone kept complementing us about how cute she is, and what a good baby she is - she barely cried at all! The only part that sucked was having to spent two nights in a row in loud busy restaurants and breastfeeding in the bathroom. One of the restaurants had a horrible bathroom too, the stalls were dirty and all almost out of TP and by the time we came out (we didn't even really finish - I had to finish feeding her in the car) there was a long ass line of drunk chicks yelling "hurry the kitten up!" lmao. And with the exception of a couple of poopy blowouts during the reception Molly was a perfect angel. I had to give her a bath with wipes but I came prepared and had a couple extra outfits and blankets for her.

Ok, just trying not to immediately freak out, but I'm holding a hospital bill for the full $28,172.39 for my C-section. Apparently, my insurance paid 0 dollars to cover me WTF!?

I can't even call either the hospital or my insurance to talk to anyone because it's Saturday and they both only have representatives Monday through Friday!

Obviously, I can't pay for this. My insurance is going to get an earload from me on Monday. th_cussing.gif

WHAT THE HELL?? ARE THOSE GUYS CRAZY?!

*STARES AT PRICE*

*FAINTS*

Now, SERIOUSLY, this is insane! Totally crazy! You can't afford for this, of course; it's common sense! You'd better show 'em who's the boss on Monday.

I kittening hate these people. I'm sick of waiting on hold. The first number I called was for the hospital.. the guy goes to research my account and the call gets disconnected. So I get to call back, wait on hold some more, talk to another person and of course she just tells me to call my insurance. Surprise, surprise. So I call my kittening insurance company and they basically tell me to call the hospital because they never received the claim. WTF!??? So now I'm on hold for the hospital AGAIN just to tell them to send the claim again. ARRG kitten these people!

Took LO (little one) to the store today. I was only going to make a quick trip for donuts (YAY DONUTS!) but she was being so quiet and good that I decided to stay out longer and get my shopping done. Honestly, I don't know why I keep shopping in the store I work in. Everyone wants to see her of course, and it slows me way down so that by the time I get out of there she is ready to eat again. Maybe I said this already but it's my pride that just wants to show her off. She's so awesome!

Note to self: Bite the bullet and pay for Pampers. Baby's R Us value pack diapers are sh*tty. Literally.

Sakura_1 I dun wanna know any more than that, lol.

I feel the need to rant once again. This time, it's not about the bebe though. 1. There are a dozen flies in my house. bash.gif 2. I'm not sure how to deal with my Dad!
We've always gotten along like peas and carrots. But ever since he retired and started watching Faux News he's become obsessed with politics. He records every episode of Glenn Beck and basically worships him. The only thing he watches on TV anymore is the previously mentioned news station, and NFL games when they are on. He always drank and was damn good at holding his liquor but it seems like he doesn't bother to limit himself anymore. Whenever he talks about Obama he barely contains his raging hatred of the man, and it's gotten increasingly worse. He's one of those Tea Party guys who believes any and every slander on Obama, including his alleged Muslim faith, and questionable citizenship (He spent millions of dollars to keep his real birth location a secret), Oh and his strings are pulled by the Chicago Mafia. He claims to be an independent, but then goes on to say that he definitely will not vote for any democrat on any ballot for the foreseeable future.
My LO was born August 26th, the same day (or was it the day before?) Beck threw his rally at the Washington Monument. Granted the guy raised a lot of money for the families of injured veterans (good for him, and them!) but my Dad said if it weren't for my due date being at the same time he would have loved to have been there. It makes me feel like his family is losing priority in his life.
I just can't agree with everything he accepts as truth. He thinks I hate Beck, but I really just hate how much he reveres him and blindly follows everything the man says on his show. He refuses to do any research or thinking for himself. He bought Beck's books (all of them) just to support the guy (he never actually reads anything, probably not even his Playboys).
I miss my Dad! The guy who used to watch action movies every night, and be able to enjoy a family BBQ without having to "hold himself back" from talking about politics. I feel bad for my Mom who has to endure listening to him everyday (when does she ever get to watch the TV?) and only survives because she doesn't disagree or argue about any of it. And I'm sick of his ridiculous spam emails, dammit!
I know I'll never be able to change his stubborn mind about anything, but I feel like our relationship is going downhill. It pisses him off to hear me disagree or voice an opinion that sounds remotely liberal.
Christmas is the one holiday a year that our whole family gets together for, and he's talking about going somewhere else this year.
When will this end? Do I dare hope that if President Obama gets replaced with a republican that he'll be happy again? Or will this socialist conspiracy continue to consume his daily life?

I wish that I knew.

My dad and I don't agree on politics a whole lot. I mean, I'm fairly liberal and he's fairly conservative, but we'll both vote across the aisle depending on the candidate. A lot of times all we really agree on is our contempt for the candidates, like our three options in the Florida Senate. But when we really disagree on the issues, we just back off. Maybe it's because we aren't that great at communication so it's just one less thing that we have to communicate about, but in those times, we just stick to talking about everything else that's going on in our lives. And of course, football.

It sounds like you're already trying to do this, but I'd just keep pushing him to not ever talk politics around you and to avoid doing the same. If he occasionally lets a comment slip out, let it slide, but crack down if it persists. I don't think that it'll just stop when Obama is out of office. Beck doesn't particularly like most of the Republicans either

Well... thats just OUCH... Unfortunately, I'm afraid I don't have any suggestion for this kind of topic >.< but I just hope that for your family's sake that he'll calm down as time goes.

Molly stays up too late! I have been so tired for the last several days, all I want to do is go to bed but she will nurse for like an hour and still not be tired or full. For the longest time I have been unable to sleep past 8 or 9 am so the later she stays awake the less sleep I get. sleep.gif
Plus, I have these freaking horrible diapers that leak out the side so pretty much every time she pees or poops I have to bathe her and change her outfit. I have been doing two loads of laundry every other day from all the towels and blankets and clothes that get leaked on! I'm ready to just burn them and buy some pampers. Might look into cloth diapers but that would just mean more laundry.
