Ep 454 Shisuis request
itachi leaves ona mission and fugaku goes ona nd on about hima wakening his sharingan so young and how proud he is of Itachi. he tells him to be diligent and work hard to maintain his occular edge and itahci says he will. inwardly though itachi cna only think about his friends deaths and how his father seems to only care about his skills.
He apologuizes to Sasuke saying he has a mission and cant play tofay, and Shisui also apologizes saying hes borrowing Itachi for a bit. Sasuke doesnt look happy.
Shisui and itahci retrieve a scroll from the forest of death where Shisui reveals that it really a training exercise and comments on how sasuke must not like him now. But itachi says since shisui a jonin and request his help its technically a mission and thuis he wasn't lying. they leap through the forest killing a massive snake in the process. as shisui outlines the exercises elements.
Shisui and itachi continue to track the target as they go with both finding clues. itahci comments on how he needs to improve his tracking skills as hell never find the target on his own. Shisui laughs and says hes half right, he says itachi needs to understand people better because as a genius he has a hard time thinking like those who aren't as skilled.
Shisui says yo move on to the 2nd part of the exercise as they camp for the night. where Shisui says hes happy he still has stuff to teach itachi. and is glad to do so. Shisui comments on itahcis feeling down and itahci reveals hes been not happy because of his awakening the sharingan and the loss of his friend.
Shisui though sees through him and tells him hed be happy to listen to him anytime. but a sound alerts the two of them and they go to investigate.
shisui reveals the final part of the exercise is about to begin as fighting sounds come from nearby
the target is revealed as an anbu who is fleeing from 3 other anbu. the anbu si wounded and itachi and shisui intervene demanind to know whay they pursue the other. they reveal they hunt traitors and that the anbu has a scroll revealing info about who attacked the village with the kyubi. and they'll let him go if he turns it over to them so they can punish the traitor.
he refuses saying hes turning it over to the hokage, but they say they'll do it themselves following their own code of darkness--theyre root operatives--which shisui reveals them to be.
the root ops say shisui shares their beleifs but he says no he doesn't as peace at the end of a blade isn't peace. and he activates his sharingan.
itahci announces his name and says hell fight beside shisui as the root ops advance.
2 of them attack shisui who holds them off they comment that the woman with them is unrivaled in the foundation but shisui says so is itachi.
itachi holds his own against the woman and uses his sharingan to see through her attacks. She lays a trap but itachi turns the tables and catches her in her own trap. meanehile shisui uses his teleportation jutus to wipe the floor with the other 2.
the big guy retireves his teammates and leaves saying the foundation will be watching them with interest as the jonin observing the training exercise head their way.
the anbu was struck by the females needle attack during her fight with itachi and lies wounded. theanbu tells them to forget what they've seen here as if its revealed then it could sow the seeds of a future conflict with the root.
Shisui and itahci explain what happened lying slightly that they thought it was all an exercise and that the opponents were strong. he says he was at fault for having to protect itachi a genin but the instructors say it was their fault for not catching the infiltration earlier. they say theyd like to talk to shisui and itachi later but end the exercise
Itachi finds out he strained his ankle and shisui looks at it and fixes it though itahci says its no big deal. yaoi fan girls splode in a frenzy at the undertones. As Shisui carries itahci home on his back
Shisui says hes happy because he feels like itahci is a younger brother to him. and taking him under his wing makes him happy and itahci should consider him a big brother. itahci asks him about the anbu and shisui admits he doesn't know if he made the right choice. he says theres always 2 sides to an issue and one must consider alternative view points to obtain true justice in the world.
Shisui tells him that togo ahead and rest as he must be tired from his sharingan. he says hell never betray itahci. and itahci closes his eyes
following that incedent Itahci joins the anbu
