That was nice.

I love the fact these developments are going to continue for these characters. And to think, we won't get more because everyone got attention. Sigh. I know this series has problems but the enjoyment is still there. That's what matters as well.

Just finished reading the latest chapter, and here is my live reaction 

 

 

My Live Reaction/Review to Chapter 415

He has. I guess he's getting in his game on now. They stopped one thing, but couldn't end another, which is more scarier than all else. The fact the dragon is back at it again, the book is taken but not by the good guys, and many causalities. Thankfully the arc ends too. I don't want the arc to be like end all be all. Let's take a break and see what's in store. Which is funny because I was hoping for that in Naruto but yeah.

 

That is exactly what I was hoping to when it came to Naruto, but ya The Missed Oppertunities that was The Final Arc uggh.. I wanna get back into thinking about that mess. Missed Opportunities is probably the right words to use for it. So I'm glad that Hiro is giving Fairy Tail the break treatment, and most people were like but Zeref, and Acnologia, and E.N.D.  Honestly this arc now that I'm reflecting back on it for the most part it was a build up to a future arc regarding E.N.D. So next week is gonna be the official final chapter to the Tartoros Arc so where do we go from here?    

 

 

Plus I've got a theory, and it's gonna sound obvious once I mention this but I get the feeling that The Final Arc in Fairy Tail will have to deal with E.N.D. as for the title well I could see it being called Final Arc- E.N.D.

A great chapter! I felt for Lucy in this chapter. Honestly, I would have liked to see Natsu have happy deliver the note to Lucy, and leave both of them. The Laxus moment was touching. I'm tired of Jellal, though. His little "righteous suffering" thing is something I hate, I just can't like the guy, and jerza for that matter. Gray's vendetta is really annoying to me as well, his argument with Natsu a couple of chapters ago about end pissed me off a little lol wonder how arrogant he's going to be when he finds out Natsu is end. That Doranbolt bit was interesting.

The way things went in the latest chapter makes me think there will be a time skip. On another note I will say it I HATE Jerza! I have never like the pairing, I tried to like it but I can't. I can't stand it Jellal is like an emo douche, Erza deserves someone better. Can Mashima create a soulmate for her?

Nah its only temporary. Fairy Tail will return and better than ever. But I wonder if there is a time skip do you think there will be members who will join other guilds?

As I said before I don't feel like the loss of Dragneel had the same kind of impact as it would have had if an actual FT member had died, and like typical Masihma the impacts was further reduced when we were told he would have disappeared anyway.

 

Well the last panel of this weeks chapter was definitely a cliffhanger, to think Natsu was...who he was revealed to be, or atleast I think it does, I'm going to have to read the MS translation to understand. Was that his full name or a declaration of what Natsu has to do?

 

Hopefully we'll get a proper training arc this time, the last one was a kop out I felt.

It wasn't who Natsu was revealed to be, it was who END was revealed to be. "Etherial Natsu Dragneel" is separate from Natsu, I guess.

No, I think that Natsu is, in fact, End.  All the Dragoslayers are End.  Speculation: END was the set of demons that Zeref created that could one day actually kill him.  

 

Back in the Tenrou arc, the first time Zeref saw Natsu, he recognized him, and said, "You can't kill me yet, it's not time yet."

 

Earlier, during the Laxus insurrection arc, both Gajeel and Natsu got trapped by Fried's runes that would hold anyone over the age of 80.  For years, we've been wondering why.  If both of them are actually creations of Zeref from 400 years ago, it makes sense.

 

Acnologia has been lurking around for at least some those 400 years.  Guildarts mentioned he was on the 100 year mission to defeat him, and lost his arm and leg in the process. 

 

What pact did the dragons make to protect humans 400 years ago?  That's the first I've heard of it.  Whatever it is, it seemed to have created the Dragon slayers and to have thwarted the plans of Acnologia.

While I agree that people like Gajeel and Wendy probably aren't their age, and probably have something's to do with 400, years ago, I highly doubt that they are all End, as only Natsu has been singled out. Had they all been Zerefs demons, it wouldn't be just about Natsu. Rather, I think that End and Natsu are two separate entities that used to be the same person. I think that something happened to Natsu in the past that was so horrendous to him, he got split, or someone (likely Mavis and Zeref) split him in two pieces, good and bad. Zeref probably took control of the bad part of Natsu and turned it into a demon, due to its strength. Mavis probably took custody of Natsu and left him with Igneel, for Igneel to protect.

Lmfao didn't think of that. But while that's possible for gajeel, it doesn't explain how Natsu is known in a personal level by Zeref, who lived 400 years prior.

It makes sense on why Zeref was saying Natsu is the one to kill him or something like that. Basically, Natsu has been a special case but what does it mean, well time will tell.

You know I've seen some (not all) fans saying how Natsu being END kinda came out of nowhere, and it didn't because if you look closely at the story from the moment Zeref was introduced you knew both he and Natsu had some kinda connection. Especailly when it came to this arc alone there was just a lot of build up to it, and it really paid off. That also explains why we never got any insight on Natsu's parents. We had some on Gray and Lucy, and Erza (unless I'm getting that one wrong). But never have we gotten anything about Natsu and his family lineage. The only thing we got from Natsu is that Igneel was his father (foster father to be precise) and he was the one who raised Natsu for years before he vanished.

Dude, they got trapped by Friend's runes because they all had their dragons inside them, lmao. That was easy to understand.

Anyone think Lucy will catch up to Natsu and Happy before they get out of town? It seems weird that they would be seperated for so long without saying goodbye. At least Natsu could be forced to tell Lucy why he's leaving her behind.

 

While it's being set up as a showdown involving Gray, Natsu, the black dragon and Zeref, I think that Lucy could play an important role. Something to do with the true origin of magic being love as her mother said. If she doesn't go with Natsu, maybe she could learn more about her mother and what her role may be in the finale. She could be right in the middle of everything in the end and determine outcome through action or sacrifice. She won't let Natsu and Gray kill each other.

 

Natsu was able to survive eating the crystals in the Tower of Heaven. He retained the lightning ability from Laxus. Maybe his body can assimilate all the other types of dragon slayer magic, allowing him to become END. The biggest hurdle will be not becoming a dragon himself in the process.  

 

I am hopeful that Mashima will end this manga well. After Naruto, if this doesn't end well, I may never read another unfinished manga again. I want to enjoy the entire story from start to finish. Trials and pitfalls are to be expected, but if the ending falls flat, then what's the point? My hope for Fairy Tail comes from Rave Master. I thought that the Rave ending was perfectly executed. It left me feeling better off for having followed the story rather than empty inside. From everything that I have read about Mashima, his intention was to make Fairy Tail an even lighter, more fun story. I think that's been well illustrated by his unwillingness to do away with any of the main characters. I think that he's even more emotionally invested in the characters of Fairy Tail. Hopefully, this will lead to a conclusion that is both dramatic and satisfying for everyone.
