Does anyone else have a dream once a month that Boruto is cancelled; so they don't have to read this awful manga?

Chapter 22: The Conclusion to a Fierce Battle!(So they are already lying with that title, but at least they can't use it again.) A Super Battle!! Science VS Ninjutsu!!!

The cover page is Bolt and Ao fighting on some generic broken ground with blue smoke around them. The 5th Volume of this abhorrent manga will be out 5/2, and 1-4 "are very popular and available now!"

So, it start off after Bolt hit him with his rasengan. Bolt brag about damaging the chakra absorption gauntlet. But previously Ao set up a sneak attack with some disks -"Mirror Drones"-(no I'm not kidding that's the thing name). Was about to hit Bolt with it, but Konohamaru notice and pulled an Iruka. Sleazy inventor explains the device. Bolt complains the devices aren't very ninja-like. Ao points out that he is no longer a ninja, and that he is some new kind of human. To be honest aren't ninja suppose to use anything they can to complete the mission? So these stupid disk would have been fine in Naruto. Ao rains down blast from his drones with bolt blocks with his gauntlet. Bolt attack with Shadow clone but Ao was able to spot the real one because Clone can't copy complex machines; for some reason. Oh the trains are called -thunder cars- by the way now. They are called Train everywhere else but now I guess the clowns want them to be call thunder cars.

Ao is about to impale bolt with his double blade, when he bring up their first meeting. Salad tries to run in to try to save him but is stop by both cups & those stupid drones. And again Bolt uses the shadow clone quote kakashi before cutting off Ao's left arm and hitting him with a rasengan. Then once Ao admits defeat bolt pulls out the screwdriver from their last meeting...sigh. Pretty sure I know where this is going. Bolt of course give him the screwdriver, and a ninja speech. Then once that over barbarian hair comes, and summons a toad.036.png

Wait. Why did he turn his back after summoning his frog?

So before the toad can crush both Ao and Bolt. Ao knocks Bolt out of the way with a ninjutsu. Which Barbarain hair point out that he used ninjutsu at the last moment dying a noble death of a shinobi. Then he greets Bolt.

This was very boring chapter that was very predictable. This felt like an old Naruto chapter fight that got extended because of the number pages in Boruto instead of a monthly manga chapter.

Not till 5/2 for next chapter one month with out having to read this. Wohoo.

Spit-balling:To tie the manga with the Mist arc from Boruto anime. To intoduce the clone from the anime. To have a Zabuza/Haku like character give bolt a lesson. To show off the new ninja-cyborgs that will now be having involvement in the story. To try and recapture the feel of the wave arc with a mist ninja. Have a fight to show off the new tech they will be using in the future battles. To help introduce the new Akatsuki-lite organization, and to show how evil they are. To give the voice actor a job for a few weeks. Stalling. To bored their readership.

It seems both sides are having lack of creativity. Nothing are interesting. Manga is doing rehashes and copying other media's stuff (I'm sorry, but I still not feeling the artwork, the damn artist need to move on to something new. Plus, its on a monthly subscription. It ain't helping on either sides.). Anime want to rehash, keep adding nostalgia waves and unnecessary baits to lure everyone back. I don't know what's going to happen because next year is the franchise's 20th anniversary. This freaking spin-off is definitely not cutting it to last. Both ends need to stop and realize that the BS they pull for the New Generation Project they decide back in 2014 is not working.

I don't know if this manga is on life support right now or not. The Studio publishers may put it on life support just because of the brand, or just let the whole thing fail.

If anything the monthly releases was a calculated move to keep the manga alive, the studio probably knew that the Boruto manga was not going to be as popular as its predecessor, that if allowed a weekly release it will just take space from other more popular reads like My Hero Academia.

To be honest I still feel that it is monthly because kishimoto did not want to work every week on Boruto since that's part of the reason he ended Naruto. The other two clowns were fine with it and probably felt intimidated by the weekly release. SP to be honest probably hates the monthly release because it has them stuck doing more original content then they can actually handle. The monthly release makes reading Boruto less of a habit then the weekly release of other series on WSJ allowing series like My hero Academy to take it places. So they needed to be a weekly release so they didn't lose fans but again kishimoto -who they needed to stay on due to the backlash- did not want to work weekly on Boruto.
