and most naruto fans still think pain and madara are cool characters. the only reason why characters Like neji lee gay sai sakura yamato and maybe kakashi are better than the rest of the cast like naruto and sasuke. is that they are not hypocrite people and don't use Talk no jutso. and don't have exaggerated power Level. and yet we saw people make joke of most of these and praise useless or meaningless characters Like hinata who struggle to do anything or madara who has immunity against microorganisms ninja or obito has the rinnegun but don't use it's full power like nagato/pain did or even sasuke who got his uchiha power level improve too fast without any logic or maybe the kaguya clan who unknownably have the highest level of power among them all. this is the big issue in naruto power structure is broken.

It was already clear that these true fans couldn't give less of a kitten about the story, they just want to see their otps tie the knot and reproduce like rabbits. As far as I know, the only fans that still follow this series are the ones that asked the very one exclusive question, "When is Naruto going to marry Hinata, when is Naruto going to marry Hinata?"Just saying. And any new fans that Boruto attracts are those that never watched Naruto at all, and are most likely kids that watch Boruto because it is in their weekend timeslot.

I sometimes wonder if we would have stuck by Boruto (or whatever he would have been called) if Naruto and Sakura had ended up together. It took the utter destruction of NaruSaku and the way Kishimoto had treated his characters in the ending to truly realize the deep, massive problems plaguing the series years before the ending.

 

It would be interesting to see what the fanbase would look like today in that scenario. I would have to guess this forum would have remained a lot more active, but NaruHina fans did make a big portion of the fanbase so I wonder if Boruto could continue to be successful without them.

 

I guess we'll never know but it's just a thought.

Maybe I'm wrong, as always, but most of the fandom where not into Naruto just because paring, and if NS were the end game and the story is really good as Naruto's, Boruto in NS version, still be so much great as Naruto were.

Maybe I'm wrong, as always, but most of the fandom where not into Naruto just because paring, and if NS were the end game and the story is really good as Naruto's, Boruto in NS version, still be so much great as Naruto were.
But the problem is how NH ruined everything, I mean Hinata was a really poor character so they had to take away everything that's made Naruto great just to fit her in the history. And we know for Chichi, even as she came off, it's because she didn't want Gohan to have to fight as much as Goku had  and wanted him to have a better future. And even as she was, she still loves Goku a lot, and Goku loves her a lot too, since the anime had made canon a scene of them kissing when he was off to get Gohan to prepare for training to fight Cell as shown in Dragon Ball Z Kai. Plus we see how Chichi can be foremost in Goku's thoughts along with all his other friends and family too.

The problem with nH is for it to work it would have to be this weird pairing the spares. In other words; Naruto stuck to his words "he brought Sasuke back to Sakura," they got together, and some time later he got with Hinata.

 

The Last was made to celebrate nH and tell the romance Kishimoto had no interest in writing. To make sure it was important and to get the fans interested in the sequel. Naruto had to end on chapter 700 because they planned for the movie to come out a month later. So, everything has to be resolved by that chapter; no matter how rush or unsatisfactory it was. i'll ask anyone here a yes or no question. Did the manga feel complete by chapter 700 or do you feel that it should have gone on longer to resolve the story?

 

The answer for a lot of people was, no, unless all they cared about was the pairing (which even then they got it in the movie) which is why people went to see the movie to try to get some resolution.

 

Kishimoto wasn't on the pro-nH ban-wagon until the end so once he said yes, once. He could no longer say, no. Because there was already a corporate release scheduled planned before he ever said 'yes' that didn't need him once the manga was done. Because, it was done by people behind his back to usurp the franchise from him.

He didn't plan as much as he had vague ideas he wanted to do. He wanted to have the Naruto Sasuke rematch but he also keep putting it off because he wanted it to be the final battle. Which mean he had to justify why Sasuke was still an antagonist while ignoring Naruto because his story was more or less done by the Pein arc and just needed to defeat/befriend/master kurama to be done. Sakura was the love interest/heroine until she wasn't, and by the time he agreed for Hinata to take her place she was already out of the story with the ticking clock of chapter 700 added in.

 

Why did Kakashi become hokage?

 

What did they do about the truth of the Uchiha Clan massacre? 

 

When did Naruto become hokage?

 

What happened to Orochimaru and Kabuto?

 

How did everyone get together?

 

How did they deal with that cycle of hatred?

 

All unanswered in the manga, among others, you have to read side novels, watch a movie, and the anime to hopefully find out.

 

Kishimoto I feel wanted to spend more time with his family. His editors and the company were making him continue Naruto far longer then he wanted to because it was an international money maker. He wanted out and they made plans that didn't involve him; beyond a figure head that says, "I approve everything they are doing." He somewhat wanted to stay on at first to make sure the people who supported him for 15 years were getting what they wanted, but when he realized that wasn't the case. That he had been lied to for years and they were stabbing him in the back for some waifu of theirs could win to fulfill their fantasies he started distancing himself from it.  By this point he is just done with both Naruto and Boruto.

I still find it funny of some people think that Kaguya is a great Villian, I mean I have heard some say they love her because she is so hot, others say it's because she made Hinata and her clan more prominent.

 

Hell one user on DA even said that Kaguya can take Sauron in a fight.

I don't think it would have helped. Kishi was clearly checked out from his own story for years when we got to the ending. Can't imagine him writing another 50 chapters to setup NH and SS that's why he left it to Studio Pierrot and was done with Naruto. If he did it would have just been more of the same half-assed chapters that 699 and 700 were.

There's no debating. I probably wouldn't even with with Naru Saku as canon. For the sheer factor that many shonen action manga series that overruns itself past a certain length reaches the point of no return in that the story is being dragged along soley by recycled plotlines and fights that are more over the top and with higher stakes than the last. where this gets especially ridiculious is when the sequel is focusing on the kids of the previous main characters therefore the expectation and consequence of it being that the kids will have to get have to get stornger than their parents to match the threat level and it becomes really ineffectual and dysfunctional after a while. One example I can think of is Shaman King: Flowers. How does flowers continue the plot where the original left off? You guessed it, by upping ther stakes even higher and it is Yoh's son that has to deal with that threat level. What happens is that they pushed plot past the point of believablitiy just making more and more at risk and the story doesn't really have much mnarrative cohesion to me any more. I enjoy seeing more Shaman King obviously but I can't find myself keeping up witht he story anymore becaue it is just confusing now. that is just one example and obviously Boruto has already treaded that line too.
