okay so I made a quick rough gif using Adobe Premier Pro

Problems with the first draft of this gif:
- The quality is kind of grainy.
- I'm not positive as to what is causing those black bars, but I have a few guesses.
- The fps drag, so my guess is that the gif's fps doesn't match with the original video's fps and is causing some lag. OR it could just be my browser and it's 80 tabs running at the same time.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

1) Help me become a not-lame gif maker like you, sensei boss man:
- teach me how to make gifs with Adobe Premier Pro

OR if you're not so well-versed in Adobe Premier, I know there is something else called VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod that can be used to make gifs as well. If you could point me to the correct download links and instruct me with a step-by-step walkthrough that would be great.

OR you can link me to an extensive and succinct guide somewhere else (e.g., Youtube; another forum). That would be awesome as well.

2) tell me how my first draft gif looks like. Is it smooth? Do you see that grainy stuff on Lucille's face? is it dragging in movement? Rate the gif!

3) If you are well-versed in APP, tell me what's causing those black bars and how to make a gif sans those bars

I've never used Adobe Premier Pro so I can't help there. I use Adobe ImageReady CS2 which is pretty easy and once I used GIMP 2, but it really isn't built for it (or if it is, I was doing it all wrong). You'd think that you'd be able to buy Photoshop CS2 (which includes ImageReady) for fairly cheap since it's 3 versions old and I saw one that was for about $20 after shipping, but it'd be used and maybe risky.

1) I've never used VirtualDubMod for making GIFs, but I've used it for extracting video frames from a video. However, I don't have it installed on my current computer. I can't remember if that's because I had trouble installing it with Windows 7 or because I stumbled upon something else first. Your guess is as good as mine on tutorials.

2) Yes, I see the grainy stuff on her face. It swoops in at first which I assumed to be deliberate, but it could be a construct.

3) Don't know how to do it in APP. I'd do it in PhotoShop or GIMP by deleting the transparent pixels frame by frame, but it can be time intensive for a long gif.

Sorry that I wasn't much help, but it bumped the thread for a few minutes.
