Problem is that they skipped important information from the script Ishida gave them for Root A and the manga, that isn't gonna work well unless they ignore everything they did wrong and just do RE like they put that information in the anime....and it'll be confusing to anime only watchers and just make a mess of things. It will be crazy....plus the animation was ugly in both S1 and 2...What if they made it like Ao no Exorcist ? Continuing it from the last canon episode.
They'll continue the series in canon cause they have much canon material.

Regeneration is not the same thing as being able to use the kagune. Furuta was cunning enough to bide his time and take over the CCG, yet only now it's a problem that he planned something to do with Kaneki because he has something he wants from Kaneki, especially after Kaneki has been of interest to V for a long time? Ok.
