Last time I checked, Sasuke didn't fanboy over a girl, nor does he let people bite him in a sexual manner...

She's just a teammate to him. And from his reaction at her getting injured before, he feels sort of guilty. (He sees a bit of old Sakura in her maybe?)

I think I've said in someplace else I fervently ship SasuNobody. IMO, Sasuke is a loner and works better like a loner.

This said, I find curious -and amusin- what he's developing a bond with Team Taka which is solider than his bond with Team 7. He searched for the members of his new team, and he thinks of them in decision-making moments. And he managed beating Hachibi when he tried protecting them.

In a nutshell, I think it's likely he's replaced Team 7 and doesn't miss it.

Not a big loss, IMO. I think Team 7 was overrated. So many people thinks Kishimoto won't do such-and-such why it'd supposedly "break Team 7 balance", when Team 7 relationships NEVER were balanced for start with, and Kishimoto had no trouble ruining that fabled team dynamic.

Team 7 was funny back in Wave Country or even in the Forest of the Death. From that point it quickly lost appeal. Sincerely, when I think of the Rookie Twelve, my favorite teams are Team 10 and Team Gai. Team 7? Only if you remove trouble-maker, catastrophe-bringer Uchiha Sasuke. Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura make a damned fine team without the extra power the Uchiha heir would bring to the table.

Back on topic. Sasuke's relationship with Karin makes me raising one brow. He looked deliberately for her, he gives her explanations, he gives thanks to her properly, asks her things, including staying behind to not get hurt, trusts her... He never WAS so considerate and "kind" with Sakura.

Maybe, only maybe, Kishimoto intends developing one relationship between them. It's not infrequent a Japanese comic writer makes up a new character, tailored for being the love interest of the main secondary character/main character's rival.

It is possible that SasuKarin can happen and there's another possibility that it won't.

I hope it doesn't happen. Sasuke's mine!

If Sasuke would want to restore his clan, he would want need Karin. But, I remember in another thread that someone told me that the restoration of the clan, if thinking about it more deeply, is not that important. This is true as well, since Sasuke didn't mention that as a part of his to-do-list. He may have mentioned it before, but, right now, it seems insignificant. Maybe he had forgotten it already since all he thought about was revenge only.

Another twist: He may have thought not to restore the clan because something similar might happen in the future, and he would be held responsible. They are one heck of a cursed family. If you think about it, most of the bad guys in the story are either from the Uchiha clan, or somehow holds a dark aura just like them. (Itachi is not a part of them, yet, he has an connection to all of this madness!)

We'll just have to see about this pairing. Maybe Masashi Kishimoto will tie up that loose end somewhere in the future manga chapters. *crosses fingers*

There is no romantic connection t all with them from what I've seen. Sasuke might wanna in his head, or could think she has the herps...who knows? He could be like ugh dang girl your stacked or your freaky s&m fetish makes me gavomit a little in my mouth :teehee: (closet icon I could find that would look like the gavomit)

Sasukes connection to team 7 and Team Hawk is actualy at the core of the Sasuke Karin romance such as it is. The trick is to understand the context of the situation and relationships.

Sasuke is (IMHO) base don a character of failure and redemption.

his failures began with team 7 and his inability to bond with them and learn the lessons of teamwork properly, which lead to his eventual defection.

But team 7 did build a foundation that would be used when it came to Team Hawk. It was a foundation that was used to gain the power to sort of defeat killerbee.

Same with sakura. Sasuke could have had sakura post bench scene. It wouldnt have lasted long because sakura would have discovered her reasons for loving him were based on a falsehood (Narutos Acknowledgement disguised as sasuke) and things would have returned to a mroe normal team 7 dynamic only with sakura and naruto as a couple.

Sakura did build a foundation though as that of a woman he could give his heart too and trust with his life. Karin stepped into that role both when he placed her in his blind spot (showing trust in her), and when he summoned the power to control amateratsu to save her first then the others.

also it established a level of physical intimacy for them because of where Karin had sasuke bite her. she let him bite her chest. she could just as easilly used the arms or wrists. but the chest is a much more intimate and sexual in nature.

While I dont think sasuke will be resolved within the manga but more as an side thought of the aftermath, it is possibility that he and karin will be mentioned later in the manga should he survive and redeem himself successfully.

That connection may be growing. Their is a major issue thta was brought up in the Killerbee fight. One of trust.

Sasuke told Karin to stay behind him. this is a major request form him to her. It puts Karin in his blind spot where she can do the most damage to him.

A lot is made of the Sharingans capabilites. but it cant see 360 like the byakugan. So for Sasuke to put a person deliberatley in his blind spot, is a big deal. its an even bigger deal when you cionsider the natur eof Ninja, and especially ninja in a village of treachery like the sound. Sasuke has to have learned to watch his back, and psychologically it msut be difficult for someone who relies on his eyes as his greatest strength to allow someone to be behind himwhere he cant use them on her.

clearly he trusts her. And that trust is a major theme in the Naruto world especially where romance is conscerned. A lot has been made about NaruSaku being a relationship of trust.

SasuKarin could become similar.

At first this relationship between Sasuke and Karin is going to be not much, and karin's shallow lust not helping. But remeber at the beginning of the series, naruto had a similar feeling for sakura just because she was pretty, but as they have matured together and spent so much perilous times together, it has developed into a deeper relationship with feelings and trust. this probably will happen with Sasuke and Karin over time.

seeing how Sasuke is usually such a loner, i want SasuKarin to happen to see how he deals with a romantic relationship.
