Its OFFICIAL!!!

Marvel Vs. Capcom will be returning for Round 3!!! (or Round 5 if you count the previous prequels: X-Men Vs. SF and MSH Vs. SF)

• Confirmed characters so far are Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm and a few others will return.

• The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 development team said they will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes on the disc.

• This will be another 2D fighter — gameplay-wise — but will be something of a cross between the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 4.

• The rumored release date is late 2010 or early 2011 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, no plans right now for other systems.

• The game will run in 1080p resolution.

• It will be a disc-based release.

• Apparently the game will have unlockables again.

• Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be playable at this year's E3 which is held on June 15 - 17th.

I'm glad they decided to make it a disc base game and i also hope they put the same good quality in it as SSIV will have. I'm thinking this will be their 2011 release big hit game.

This is awesome, It looks like i was right about them upping the anty after SSIV gameplay/graphics going to be successful.

This is definitely going to be their 2011 trump card.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Chris better have some kind of special bullet like the kryptonite bullet for Superman.

Tony Stark's weakness will always be seducing women.

I'm afraid though that there's going to be a limited smaller number of characters but may be released later on as DLC since for example it would be unfair to have a redesigned HD Megaman without coming out with a new HD Megaman game first.

(and 2 others I couldn't grasp but one of them is Chris)

Hopefully they'll offer some cool DLC too keep the game good throughout 2011.

Cammy better be in the game, in her Delta Red outfit because I'm sick and tired of seeing her in the Alpha (Shadoloo) outfit!

But there's a 50% chance she'll be in, because I want a better roster, instead of rehashing sprites from previous games. Oh, and less Street Fighters and X-Men characters. (I really don't want Storm to come back though because she was one of the GOD-tier characters that definitely need to be work on).
