Yes I'm sure Putin will be provoked by such threatening words :) ISIS won't last a day now. Putin will defeat ISIS and guess which president candidate will be pleased by this.

Why does everyone always think Russia is so badass?
They were involved in the middle East during their invasion of Afghanistan and they got their asses handed to them.

This really changes nothing.
And they kicked the nazis asses during ww2 while the rest of europe was crushed.
They are not aways weak, nor aways invincible, but I doubt ISIS would stand a chance against them, especially if open conflict starts.

I seriously doubt ISIS would stand a chance against the US military if we sent in ground troops, but we're not going to do that and neither is Russia.
So, Russia is in no better position than us for taking out ISIS, in fact we're doing much more than the Russians by supporting the rebels in Syria and by bombing ISIS to hell for years now.
Honestly, it's only a matter of time for ISIS to lose its territorial holdings with or without Russian help.

No, you don't have to trust the US to solve this mess. I'm not saying that at all.
All I'm saying is it's naive to think that Russia is just going to come in and defeat ISIS by themselves. They don't have the will nor the capabilities to occupy the Middle East with ground forces, so what can they do besides bomb ISIS?...which the US is already doing.

You better take some lessons on who took down Germany in 1945, it was surely not only "Russia".
