Re Team Seven, its safe to say Kishi failed on all levels. Like I mentioned before, Kishi did not bother to develop Team Seven in the beginning, stuffed Team Seven's bond down our throats for the entire part two and ultimately he wasn't arsed to give them a decent ending. 

 

Kishi needed a reason to explain Naruto and Sakura's persistent attempts to rescue Sasuke and ' because of Team Seven bonds ' probably seemed like the easiest answer. Forget the fact that such a strong team connection was never indicated in the first place, forget that this bond was embarrassingly one sided with Sasuke routinely insulting and attempting to kill the other two, what irks me the most is the way Sasuke was handled in the end. 

 

Its pretty clear from Kishi's words that he never intended to portray Sasuke as the bad guy BUT he failed, once again. He overdid Sasuke's 'confused boy' act, especially in the Kage arc. I think even Kishi realized that there was no coming back after that point. However way you look at it, Sasuke was a criminal. There was simply no way he could come back and live in Konoha as if nothing had ever happened.

 

As far as my opinion goes, I think Kishi had two options--

 

First one was Sasuke being held responsible for his actions, being punished for his crimes. 

 

Second one was Sasuke realizing the errors of his way, acknowledging Naruto and Sakura so that they could have one final moment of laughing together again, then move on from Konoha completely. Team Seven should have been given a final resolution then and there and Sasuke should have left with Taka.

 

Kishi partially went with the second option and it baffled me. Sasuke decides to go on a journey, hoping to atone for his sins. From the epilogue chapter and the movie, its clear that Sasuke never settles down in Konoha. He isn't connected with Naruto anymore, he has left Konoha behind and is on a journey on his own. And that makes sense. What doesn't make sense is that he still has one very strong tie with Konoha-- He married Sakura and has a daughter living there !  

 

Clearly Sasuke does not want to, does not deserve to ever be a part of Konoha. Why did he have to be married to Sakura and have a family he has no interest in..? Why was he not allowed to move on completely..? Why did Sakura have to settle for such a life with a man who is never there for her..? 

 

If this was Kishimoto's idea of a realistic, heroic ending for either Sasuke or Sakura, he really needs his head examined cause its anything but realistic. Sakura should have moved on from Sasuke, Team Seven should have got their last moment of laughing together again and Sasuke should have completely left behind Konoha.

There is Sai who voted for Naruto to go to Sakura, and them blamed him for not taking Hinata.
And Yamato who goes nowhere after chapter 699.

Sai was fooled about Naruto's feelings but that doesn't make him on the same standing as team kitten. And Yamato's only sin was that he was captured but that doesn't make him deserve to be in the same place as team kitten either.

Sakura wasn't conscious to hear him.If she had heard him and still completely ignored it I would be furious at her too. I'm not saying that POAL wasn't important to Naruto.The very fact that he brings it up in 693 tells us that it means a lot to him.What i'm saying is from Sakura's side the POAL is dealt with as of LOI. Wasn't that the purpose of Sakira's confession in LOI? To relieve Naruto of their promise because it was hurting Naruto?

Sakura regressed into her pre part one self was very intentional so it validates the reason the strip her of her heroine status more than popular pairing. And sets up Naruto to seek retribution against Sakura using the rivalry comment about his feelings for Sakura and and abandoning her in the cave. It's not Sakura who is victims but Naruto too. Their character assassinations was meant to destroy their relashionship and friendship by SP and Kishi. It was very deliberately. All I can say is that the "original manga plot" was cancelled after chapter 698 and the last two chapters were retcons. Even as we speak, Hinata is transforming into Sakura while Sakura is becoming more like Karin in the anime fillers and the new novels.

I see Naruto and Sakura are the true most tragic characters besides the female cast in the franchise all due to prevent NS from being canon. NS after all is the core of the manga and look what becomes of the franchise when the core has been destroyed and replaced by counterfeits.

She didn't "unchain" Naruto in LOI, she only got info, that it's NOT only POAL, that forced Naruto to hunt Sasuke, it was his personal reasons too.

Not acknowledge, I can agree. Leaving the village is not illegal as long as you receive the permission. Tsunade left the village to heal her pain and she wasn't reprimanded. Naruto left the village to train with Jiraiya. You make it sound like she deserted the village and left the people when she didn't. Again, she wasn't as bad as how you make it out to be.
I agree that both Sakura and Naruto were destroyed characters but I don't necessarily agree with your statements of what Sakura did. "Sakura abandoning Naruto" is clearly different from her "healing but not replying to him". "Sakura abandoning the village" is not the same as "Sakura leaving the village with permission". Idk, maybe your wordings sound like you are morphing Sakura's actions more evil than it actually is to match Naruto's which it doesn't.

The reason I say abandon is because it was a little to much for simply "not acknowledging" him, it's like he didn't even exist to her. Leaving the village is one thing, but it was basically another "Naru-who?" moment. He didn't matter to her in that moment either, it seemed. She was just throwing away people that truly cared about her for someone that never did because she never grew up. I don't want to even think about the last time either of them interacted with each other or I might puke lol

Lol at least you can like characters in the series though, so that's a bright spot. This manga's end was so atrocious that not even specific characters were saved for me. The only tie left I have to the series (aside from here) is the fanfiction im writing, and the only reason I'm even continuing that is because I started before the series ended, and I don't enjoy leaving things unfinished.
