WOW, great insight. I think that that is very plausible especially since i dont see naruto's TNJ really working completely on sasuke, so more of an agreement between the two would make more sense.

thanks   . yeah we got chapter 697  and it seems narutos tnj has no effect on sasuke yet .  with the theory of naruto leaving the village its possible  that sasuke and naruto will make an agreement  for some years to see what happens .but lets wait and  see.  kishi can go any rout .

i dont know is someone said it yet  but  do u guys think the reason naruto leaves the village because sasuke gave naruto like 3-4 years  to see if the 5 nations keep the peace or not. if not then he will go with his plane  . thats why naruto will go to the 5 nations to make the peace deeper and protect it ?

What makes you believe this page had anything to do with Kishimoto? I don't think either Kishi or any of his editors wrote this message.

 

And even if it was Kishi's message, there IS NO way that a shocking end would imply Naruto losing his match. So the hero becomes a loser in the end and his rival becomes victorious? Naruto loses and Sasuke somehow magically realizes his mistakes after beating Naruto? This is not a 'shocking end', its an 'impossible end'.

 

Naruto winning against Sasuke is more guaranteed than NS becoming canon ! 

i agree.  but if naruto is going to win  . that means there will be no NS moment like how it was in the ova  right? . i hope naruto beats sasuke and  A BIG NS moment after that .. 

So ... does anyone have any guesses on how Naruto will accept a love confession from Sakura now? His confidence on Sakura loving him over Sasuke right now had to go from 0.000005% to 0.000001% after 693.

 

I keep trying to find a realistic scenario for this and I keep coming up empty.

hmmm . it is kinda confusing about who will do the first move but after 693 .i guess its sakura.  

whether  sakura meant she loves sasuke in a romantic way or not in 693 .  naruto  thinks its romantic  . he ll bring back sasuke  and complete his promise to sakura .  and now he leaves it to sakura to choose . cause he know sakura has feelings for him (469)  and  she still has feelings for sasuke  as he thinks ( 693)    and maybe a little time skip  and then sakura confess to him again   and tells him i dont love sasuke in a romantic way any more  .its just u. .   .. its like the after war of LadyGT.(i hope so)..  and i agree for naruto  its all or nothing .. thats one way .i guess

I Still think we need to wait for a follow up for this and don't rush to conclusion like before , to see whether this love is T7 familial/platonic instead of romantic  so far it indicated T7 love but it has undertones of being romantic despite Sakura not wanting relationship with him  but this is also an indication that after this she will be romantically over him that blow trough the heart has to mean something , 

agree . not rushing would be wise but ill add something . sasuke thought sakura still loves him in  romantic way  thats why he told her (u r  annoying = u still the same selfish girl before 3 years ago .)  . thats why he responded to kakashi  is she dreaming ......ect   and after that kakashi makes it clear to sasuke and to us that she loves him in a different way and want to save him for him self.  and i think thats why sasuke remembered his family pic ..  so imo its kinda more clear now . but it wont harm us at all if we waited

i cant blame the people who stop shipping NS . but as myself  i ll always ship NS cause its the real deal in this manga weather kishi made NH/SS canon .or an open ending. . ill just be angry cause he ruined the manga romance at least for me . but NS all the way and there is still hope  .  . so dont relay on people relay on the beauty of the pairing . .

Why are people so disappointed?!The Sharingan is a part of Kakashi and Obito would have given it back to him, we knew this! I wish Kishi had made Obito give his eyes just before he died, but oh well, what can we do?

Maybe, but this is assuming Naruto was forever going to stay constant after that confrontation. No doubt he would train and gotten stronger until he arrived. Also, Sasuke was going blind by that time and possibly would have lost his eyesight if Obito didn't implant Itachi's eyes in his which he wouldn't have been able to foresee that.....no pun intended. So how can a blind Sasuke fight Sage mode Naruto? Again, this is to say if Obito didn't help Sasuke and Killer Bee didn't help Naruto. Sasuke was basically losing the only power he really had.

Both Naruto and Sasuke never knew they'd get the Ashura and Indra powers, but you do have Naruto saying a couple of times that one day he and Kurama would find a way to work together and soon be friends as well.

Sage Mode is actually no slouch either and it is a powerful technique so no doubt it can be used like he used it against the Third Raikage.
 

but I think in the end it all depends on whether Naruto is ready to go full out on Sasuke which I doubt. That's why I said he would kind of do both because Sasuke would be out for blood and he wouldn't be.

You're right. At least Obito was once an actual good guy that was corrupted instead of always just treating people like crap, feeling superior, and pretending only he matters in the world. So when it comes to Obito there is at least something redeemable about him. Can't really say the same for Sasuke.

I think this is why I have more respect for Obito. Sure, he did some bad things, but at least he wasn't a jerkass to people and actually tried to complete his goal unlike you know who being changed due to a simple bedtime story.

 i also dont understand how people say sasuke is better than obito . while he is cold and had the same intentions to do the same as obito .( killing his friends and everyone who stand in his way + destroying the village of konoha) what makes me laugh is that the irony made obito stopping sasuke from trying to kill naruto sakura and kakashi in 483. and obito stopped him from trying to destroy the village after pain destroyed it. ( i know obito didnt do them cause he was good but because he had other plans. . my point is that sasuke should be thankful to obito for stopping him ) and for me when sasuke having the intention for killing and destroying  but didnt do them cause he was stopped . doesnt make him better than obito who wasnt stopped by anyone.? . to me evil sasuke = evil obito .    good obito > cold sasuke .
