You will probably have to read the manga though to understand the new chapter. The anime diverged from the manga quite a lot towards the end.
I'm assuming the reason why Shaoran was holding onto the teddybear was because his mom or him placed some sort of magic seal on it to protect Sakura. That's why he wanted her to have it. That way he doesn't have to raise any suspicion and worry Sakura.

I will.. im thinking of starting to collect mangas for real but im not entirely sure if i can handle it as im also collecting games from different platforms and lol lipsticks and pallettes.

Aaah you could be right about Syaoran and his teddy bear. Ofcourse something is brewing. This kids would not be given a break..

Btw is Syaoran's mother shown in the first movie canon? She's really cool. Lol and the sisters too

Shaoran's mom and sisters were never shown in the manga. Mentioned, yes, but never explicitly shown. That is why I cherish the anime so much. It expands the setting and shows more characters. I was rather shocked to see that Meiling wasn't in the manga...

The manga is still great though. The ending of the manga is one of the sweetest and most perfect manga endings in all of shoujo mangas- that is, until you read the sequel For now, you can just read it online I guess. Buying 12 volumes all of a sudden is kind of pricy.

Shaoran's mom and sisters were never shown in the manga. Mentioned, yes, but never explicitly shown. That is why I cherish the anime so much. It expands the setting and shows more characters. I was rather shocked to see that Meiling wasn't in the manga...

Another thing, she's from hongkong and perhaps to show that syaoran is Chinese for the viewer.

I believe they also wanted her in to make Syaoran the butt of jokes earlier as well. Anyway I don't dislike Meiling I just felt her character was wasted cause she wasn't a proper part of a love triangle in the first place. Syaoran became more conscious of Sakura around the time Meiling showed up, and showed nothing but familial concern for her. She could have done more for the card capturing as well but unfortunately with no magic She couldn't help much except for the fight card.

The night before she goes back to HongKong and stayed the night over at Tomoyo's house.

 

My young, fragile heart... lol

It was dubbed in our language and it was actually pretty good.

maybe that's what made it more heartfelt.

Nothing wrong with the voices mind you, It's just that the English dub has done the sacrilege of removing the romance and adding in idiocy like "forces of darkness" etc.and making Syaoran more of a sore loser for not getting the Clow Cards (which he's not) rather than being confused about his feelings for Sakura. Well that was the Nelvana English dub. There is a second English dub by Animax but uh, they are a bit.... off. Though to their ever lasting credit, they don't "screw with the script"

I was told that the dub was bad but never watched it myself. I only knew of our local version and the japanese.

As for ryohikifan.. is it the first version you've watched? I am under the impression that most of the time (NOT everytime) the first version you watched and gotten used to is what you will usually prefer..

As for ryohikifan.. is it the first version you've watched? I am under the impression that most of the time (NOT everytime) the first version you watched and gotten used to is what you will usually prefer..

Of course, I never saw anime online until like 2 year ago or something like that but most anime I saw were dubbed so I enjoy both versions no matter the differences because it's like enjoying something you like in a new way

 No, No. I LOVE the Nelvana dub Voice actors, I just find removing the romance because kids would not understand it super silly, because 1) it's not deterred from other shows "aimed at kids" like Pokemon or Disney especially and 2) Kids are not "disinterested" in romance, they are deterred from it by adult influence if anything. (to my experience at least) so I just find that stuff illogical in the first place. My complaints are that hearing the Nelvana voices for the romance aspect would have been AWESOME  no?

Hmm That is true. I was only aware of the romance because I watched episode 70 in the Latino dub. Well even if the removed the romance subplot It was still pretty blatant about Sakura and Syaoran either way Well still I think if they didn't remove the romance it would have been better. Not saying the dub sucks because they did I just don't prefer it

I'm talking about the english dub. And obviously, there's Sakura's feelings for Yukito but that Pales in comparison to the development she gets with Syaoran!
