Been awhile that I posted here.

What is that status of Kishi after his Samurai sci-fi got axed? Any interviews of interest?

 

 

Nothing that I've heard of as of yet...

 

 

I might've said this before, but I'll say it again... I really think Kishi is just doing Boruto until he's able and I guess "comfortable" with unveiling a brand new series again.  If he even decides to another one truth be told.

He's back on Boruto as the writer because Kodaichi wasn't good for sales. Apparently, he was very belligerent got into fights with a lot of people -openly- including critics (in japan), complained about not having an editor, and likely pissed off the anime staff with his slow pacing. So, when his contract was up; he was gone and replaced by Kishi.

 

He killed Kurama instead of Naruto and got rid of Sasuke's teleporting eye.

Not a good sign bringing in an author who just got his last series axed due to abysmal sales. I cannot wait for Boruto to go out in blistering flames. Maybe don't destroy your entire series for the sake of a one-dimensional background character with very little prior development?

Hinata and NH will always be obnoxiously popular. If you want to roll your eyes, go look for fanworks where Naruto is with Hinata and bashing Sakura is a stated goal that they even acknowledge they're doing on purpose. There are thousands.

 

But if you wanna read NS where bashing Hinata is an explicit goal? Good luck even finding one.

I would say more vocal especially in the US shame they don't put their money where their mouth is.

 

In fanfics I have probably seen less then a handful of NS bashing hinata mainly because their really isn't a need to. 'Sakura gets together with Naruto,' what does Hinata have to do with it? Nothing, other then offer congratulations since she not really involved in Naruto's story. 

 

Its the reverse for nH it is a miracle when half the plot is not or worse if not the true focus is bashing Sakura. Often the climax is finding ways to kill her in the most brutal fashion possible. Even after the ending where they won. What does Sakura have to do with Hinata and Naruto getting together to these people? Almost everything, since they hate Sakura for representing friend-zoning to them.

They are probably hoping that somehow him being back on would increase sales. I also suspect he was given orders to speed things up and find ways to boost the series sales. As long as the anime is ongoing the manga will continue. Oh Kishimoto is regretting that decision. Remember, he agreed to nH so that he could end Naruto to both move on to another manga and spend more time with his family.

There are so many. And Gaara is about to kill Sasuke but Naruto stops Gaara saying he doesn't want him/her to become a murderer again. So Sasuke is spared but Gaara still wants to kill Sakura... To which Naruto agrees because the world will be a better place once she is dead. So Sakura is killed with no consequences whatsoever.

 

It's like holy kitten. This person completely sabotaged the climax of their story and made it into a farce JUST to kill Sakura, who was mostly irrelevant to the plot. If I were to read that without knowing anything about Naruto I would think there was something INCREDIBLE going on with her character and want to find out more about her.

 

There are probably worse examples involving Hinata but I don't care to read anything with her. She is so boring even if she's not with Naruto but especially with.

Not gonna happen bro, but I'm out of everything related to Naruto. This is the only place I take a look what is happening in Naruto.

To be honest, I tend to use how the writer treats Sakura as a bellwether as to the overall quality of the fanfiction early on. If they are non stop bashing her, its a kitten-fest where the writer will not stop whining throughout the entire story which will likely be crap. Also, again the climax will be killing Sakura very often, but after that happens the story falls apart often becoming aimless because it clear with Sakura dead the writer doesn't know what to do or lost interest. If they overly praise her, then it will be overdramatic to the point it become embarrassing to read. And if they are fair/neutral to her, its normally a good sign.

 

nH fanfic are some of the worse stories/writing I have ever read as well as the dullest. If it doesn't spend most of the story going on and on about either how much of a victim Naruto is and how he is entitled to anything he wants because he a victim, or bashing Sakura as the worst friend-zoning kitten to ever exist who needs to be torture for not putting out and hitting Naruto. The romance of nH is just so dull. Naruto is alone. He makes a friend. The friend points out Hinata likes him. They get together. Nothing happens but we are told it great/perfect because has someone who loves him even though they don't do anything together or if they do it some of the dullest stuff you can think of.

I've seen a few, but even those were relatively light on the bashing compared to Sakura bashing ones; usually just making Hinatatas into more of a yandere type stalker character who usually just gets beat up by whoever Naruto's love interest turns out to be in the story when Hinatatas tries to attack her for "stealing her Naruto-kun", and then she tends to disappear from the story after that.

I don't think I've ever read one where Hinatatas is outright killed for virtually no reason whatsoever aside from just bashing.

Then Hinata gets to be with him for free after doing nothing b/c she always liked him. And we're done. That's so effortless and boring.

 Haha...Nope. Naruto and NaruSaku was a pretty huge investment in my life. Both financially and emotionally. I still remember how I felt the day the final chapter came out and how much chaos was going on here. How desperately everyone wanted 'The Last' to clear up that ending and how much everyone wanted it to be infinite tsukiyomi.
It's been almost 10 years. That window of opportunity is gone and it wouldn't pull people back if they did it now.
 

In summary: Sakura defeats an Akatsuki member and is the series staple white mage = Useless

Hinata defeats random Juubi fodder in a single panel and literally accomplishes nothing else of value: OMFG TEH BEST FEMALE CHARACTER EVER EVER!!!

Sakura killed ten Juubi in one punch and everyone was too busy wetting themselves over how their goddess managed to kill one...and then proceeded to trip over a rock and fall flat on her face. 

 

There's the NH (as in NejiHina... which was probably the intended ship) doujinshi called Terrace where that happens:

 

 

But naw it was better and more beautiful for Hinata to win while Sakura is alone forever ofc. She did hit Naruto those 3 times.

I remember seeing this doujinshi back in the day. I really hoped it would happen. But heaven forbid we give Hinata any real character development. That would ruin everything.

They tend to be the overdramatic ones but they are mostly fine because they are based off the dreamy bad boy I can fix or more shoujo like stories the silent cool rich guy that only smiles at me. Think Sequel trilogy and Twilight like stories as well as fanfics and you got SS. The main problem with SS is that Sakura isn't important to Sasuke. She isn't the one person he cares about or the only person he smiles at; that's Naruto.

 

The problem with nH is at it core its, Hinata likes Naruto so they should get together; with no thought beyond that. Also a lot of it is just bitterness towards Sakura for not putting out and friend-zoning. Finally, they don't really do anything together and their zero effort towards getting together.

concept wise, sure. You can argue for it. Admittedly their Dynamic is typical. Story wise, It's been hit with nothing but death flag after death flag. I'm pretty sure that in Shojo manga/anime, if the cool bad boy tried to kill the heroine/MC of the story, said "bad boy" is a no-go. And even casting that aside, the story goes practically that Sakura wore Sasuke down and he guilt tripped himself into being with her, whereas an actual love interest would have redeemed himself LONG before getting together with the heroine at BARE MINIMUM.
