#950121 New generation problem.

Posted by Kagomaru on 26 September 2017 - 12:31 PM

I'll just say this: You don't need to love someone to have a child with them. That is all.

And helping to create a child doesn't necessarily mean that you'll love him/her either.  Both Sarada and Sakura got the short-end from Sasuke.

I'd also like to see what Eiji (Saitou's adopted son) has been doing since we haven't seen him since the Kyoto arc.  Given that he likely trained under Saitou, he's probably just as much of a beast as Yahiko and Taro; heck, maybe we might finally see what Tokio looks like.   I hope that Soujiro will make an appearance as well since this arc does revolve around dissidents from Shishio's army.

So, what's your excuse for Minato and Kushina?  They fell in love in their early teens and they didn't get married until they were well in their twenties.  So, don't sell us this "urgency" nonsense when Kushina and Minato came from a more volatile and war torn generation than Naruto.  There is no justified or explained basis for Hinata and Naruto to expediently rush into marriage other than they didn't want to wait.  And as a married man myself, you do NOT rush to a commitment like that without thoroughly testing the waters. Before I even proposed to her, my then-girlfriend and I spent five years living together, adjusting to the others' lifestyle, our hobbies, etc. seeing if we could handle living within the same house. Marriages like Hinata and Naruto's are the ones that typically end in divorce because that irresponsible impetuousness.

Cuase he is busy with work and needs to do that work.

Yup,  Both Pete and MJ have paying jobs and are superheroes on top of that, but they still makes time for each other and their little girl.  What's Boruto's Dad's excuse?

Guess we're gonna pretend that conversation a couple of pages back about Naruto loving Sakura never happened . . .  :ermm:

Selective memory and arbitrary interpretation is the Analyst's game, don'tchaknow. :th_yeah:

People need to stop using that fugly hairstyle, even with NS images. It's a physical representation of scumbag "Boruto's dad", not "Naruto".

Y'know what? So that I can differentiate the real Naruto from the horrible caricature that has taken his place from Chapter 697 onwards, I'm sticking to the official "Boruto's Dad" meme that CrunchyRoll and Viz helped perpetuate whenever we talk about the Worst Scumbag.

They didn't want Hinata to be seen as Naruto's "silver medal." Since chapter three of this 700 chapter manga we have known Naruto had some level of feelings for Sakura. Which meant that hinata as far as everyone knew; even if they got together was Naruto's "second choice." They didn't want that, and they didn't want the audience to think that. So the last's goal was to make sure hinata wasn't seen as the second choice. In order to do that they made her princess of the hyuga clan, the goddess of the moon, as strong as the six path sage, heir to six path sage's brother, constantly tried to make her look as pretty as possible, change their backstory, got Sakura to help push them together, the illusion, the contest between the scarves of motherly love versus true love, and so on.

The problem is that by doing so especially that speech Sakura gave to dismiss that Naruto ever had genuine feeling for her on any level. But by saying that his feeling for Sakura were a lie then that meant Naruto was lying about one of the first thing we learned about him for fifteen years. If he was lying about that; what else was he lying about? By doing what they did in the last they destroyed one of the most important parts about a story the likability of the main character.

On top of that, this retrospectively makes Naruto look like nothing but an absolute hypocrite after he rejected Sakura's confession and saying that he hated it when people lied to themselves.  Well, what the hell do you call claiming you are in love with a girl that you were objectifying  just to get one over your rival, who never had an interest in her in the first place?

Whoever wrote and directed the Last needs to be tied to the bumper of a car and dragged across the streets of Tokyo.

This especially.

She used the term "fell into the love he alread had", which I found hilarious, because such such a thing does not exist.

When you have feelings for someone, you know it. You can be unsure about their nature (platonic, romantic), but YOU  KNOW IT. 100%. There is no way around that.

If you don't know you are supposed to have feelings for someone ... you don't have them. They do not exist.

Heck, take Sakura during the Zabuza arc.   When Naruto was devising his counter-assault on Zabuza, Sakura stated that she was experiencing a feeling towards Naruto that she couldn't identify, but we see her blushing during this scene.

Analyzer.
The only thing I do not understand is that you see what Kishumoto decides
He is wise.
But if you see that his decision is great and you see that SS + NH is better than NS why you are narusaku fan if you just insult their love and everything in them.
if you like sasusaku so much more then narusaku why don't you stop Lying to yourself

At this point,  I question if this is less about pairings and more about defending Kishimoto himself from deserved criticism towards his writing. She perceives him as a superb writer who doesn't create plot holes, is unaffected by external pressures, and had the story's plot and script written out from the beginning (even though Kishi himself, before he started contradicting himself in Post-2014 interviews, admitted that the only thing he had planned was the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke).  Her arguments against NaruSaku are beginning to seem like an extension of that defense.

#949503 Whats your OTP now that NS was given the pipe?

Posted by Kagomaru on 20 September 2017 - 04:48 PM

Not an OTP yet but after reading the new Rurouni Kenshin,  I'm becoming fond of Akittenaro x Asahi.

EDIT: Dammit, profanity filter!  Akittenaro is not a curse word! :pinch:

See, the difference is that I don't put the blame solely on Sakura for this and I tend to blank out the last few chapters of the manga and Burrito because that is not my girl. That's not the girl who I watched grow from a lovestruck wannabe ninja to a powerful, compassionate, independent woman who surpassed her Sannin mentor.  I lay the blame where it truly belongs, at the feet of Kishimoto and SP.

The damage has been NH and SS is canon. I wonder why Kishimoto won't be honest and spill the beans already. Maybe it's his pride as a writer that keeps him from telling the truth. Or maybe he doesn't want the fandom freaking out if he tells them the truth.

There's a fair possibility that when Boruto gets cancelled and he's free to pursue his sci-fi manga, he'll pull a J.K. Rowling.

It would be funny if his wife "pulled a Sakura" and grabbed him by the ear, dragged him to the studio, and made him redo the ending XD

Of course, that's only before she punched him through a wall for comparing her to someone like Hinata. :lmao:

Anything with Sasuke was one of Kishimoto's asspulls. His Sharringan always advanced to the next stage or became more powerful at extremely convenient times.

The Sharingan itself has always been an asspull as the manga progressed.  How do you go from precognition and mimicry via reading of muscle movement to the God-breaking crap that you get by the time of the War arc?

#949417 Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc Discussion Thread

Posted by Kagomaru on 19 September 2017 - 07:07 PM

I thought Kenshin was supposed to be crippled at this point. Oh well no problem I'm just happy this series is continuing

He isn't necessarily crippled. Megumi told him that as long as he doesn't do anything too strenuous, he can still practice kenjutsu. But she warned that if he continues to push his body like he did against Shishio and Enishi by performing high-level Hiten Mitsurugi techniques like the Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki,  his muscles will eventually atrophy to the point where he won't be able to hold a sword again. However, as long as he isn't straining his body by performing Hiten on regular basis, she speculated that it would take years before his body reached this point(so long as he takes it easy).
