This episode is better than last week. The Naruto and Sai scene had me laughing.
The omake was even more lulz! Hinata beat Naruto (even Yamato beat him for second place) on eating ramen... shocking...

What's Happening with the Naruto series as of now!

A step up from the last few episodes. I can at least kinda see where they're going with all this now, and it had a few amusing scenes. But please...don't let the fights with Orochimaru's boring filler henchmen be too long. ><
You don't know how glad I am that we didn't have to actually see that... >_>

What a difference a year is making eh?
Naruto in 2009:
-Anime sucks ass.
-Manga rocks!

Agreed.
I did find the episode to be a bit faster paced since the story actually moved forward - a little. For me, the scenes with Tsunade and Jiraiya were the best part. The odd bits of comedy were okay too.
Although, from the looks of the preview we're still going to be tortured with the futility of Naruto's "training".

Much better than 94- that was the worst yet of this filler arc. This one had good scenes with Tsunade and with Jiraiya (even a bit of subtle JiraTsu), Naruto's confrontation with Sai was great. Sakura's scene was good too. Even the toad training was less embarrassing this episode. The Kakashi and Team 8 scenes were uninteresting, even the Gurin and Yukimaru scenes were more interesting.

I couldn't help but notice that Gamatatsu's voice wasn't as 'cute' this episode - maybe because he's got so much water - and Naruto - in his mouth.
Since that scene in the last episode, I think, where Guren gives Yuukimaru that crystallized flower and said that as long as she was alive, the flower would never wilt, I got the immediate feeling that she was going to die. I've seen a few other animes/mangas/books where the villain turns out to be not so cold-hearted but ends up dying anyway. Still wondering what Yuukimaru can do, though.

This filler is absolutely horrible. The only good scene was with Kabuto and the boy on the lake and us seeing a bit of the Gobi (I think it was the Gobi). The entire toad thing that Naruto is suppose to learn shows once again how useless some writers are in creating some interesting story fillers. And somehow they are probably going to draw this out for another 10 episodes.
Oh yeah and Manga rocks at the moment.
