I have seen lots of topics saying that:

 

-Naruto is only strong because of Kurama

-Kurama saved Naruto's as.s again (vs Pain)

-Naruto is powerless without Kurama

-Naruto VS Sasuke would NOT be a fair fight,because Naruto has Kurama and Sasuke is alone (2v1)

 

Well... even though Kurama really saved Naruto lots of times.

Its unfair(to my opinion) to call him powerless because:

 

1. He managed to EARN the bijuu power with training and Defeating Kurama

2. He befriended him

3. AND most important thing is:

Kurama is Naruto's type of "Sharingan" (he lived with Kurama since he was born).

 

Consider as fair fight, Naruto without Kurama and Sasuke without Sharingan

(1v1 but no Special Abilities)

NOT Naruto without Kurama VS Sasuke with Sharingan

that people say would be fair because its 1v1

(since naruto hasnt got his Special Ability which is Kurama).

 

Whats your oppinion?

 

PS. Note that Sasuke isnt alone. IF he uses Susanoo its like he has a bijuu since it was stated in the manga that Susanoo is as powerful as a bijuu. So a Naruto VS Sasuke fight would be eventually fair (2v2).

Naruto has Kurama, Sasuke has super-Uchiha-kekkei genkai.

 

Naruto isn't weak without Kurama, just look at the Pain fight. He really held his own for quite a long time. My only complaint is that I want more 'ninja powers'. I want him to be skilled with kunais and such too, and taijutsu. Kind of like Kakashi, he's very ninja-like. :3

 

Naruto's powers are kind of all or nothing.:/ Either he goes all out and he'll defeat everyone, but if you leave out his supermodes(SM/KM), he isn't all that much.

You are right.. but to be honest.. lets face it.

Naruto has become a DBZ like anime.

You are not a saiyan (Sage mode, Bijuu mode,Susanoo,Sharingan etc), you are out of the Game.

Kakashi who is a super cool character, just because he hasnt the Sharingan anymore and neither a mode like Naruto people start bashing him because he cant help vs Kaguya.

naruto was obito's weak spot (senjutsu)

 

he have all these advantages.. uzumaki lineage or friendly bijuu etc which might be unfair, but he still worked with what he had, these powers didn't willingly help him, so yeah he has become powerful in his own right, even with the reincarnation deal.

It seems Sasuke fans forgot that Sasuke not only has an OP sharingan, but for a long time he had the curse mark, which he used to escape death several times.

 

I kinda don't like how often Naruto gets saved by Kurama, but he's not the only character that gets things handed to him, plus Naruto does train for things. Sasuke gets new eyes and is automatically able to use them better than Itachi.

 

And yeah, the only real ninja is Kakashi.

So it's Hebi Sasuke without his Sharingan against Naruto without any of his modes? I never saw any noteworthy feats of speed or strength from Naruto in his base. He managed to react to Chiyo when she attacked Kakashi and he handled himself decently against God Realm, but that's not much to go on. Sasuke has always been praised for having exceptional speed. He forced an Akatsuki member to increase their movement briefly using chakra and blitzed a CS2 user while incapacitating them with a single movement of his blade. When it comes to strength, neither have a lot of weight behind their fists and legs as others do. They're statistically equal in that category. 

 

Both come from privileged origins. Trying to decide whose gimmick was more critical to their success isn't easy. Without them though, I would have to say that Sasuke comes across as being the more skillfully impressive shinobi. Amazing speed, fluid taijutsu movements, a plethora of different techniques for multiple scenarios... That doesn't set in stone who would win in a match-up between them though. Naruto has a few distinct advantages of his own like an enormous chakra pool, an unpredictable fighting style, and a readily usable attack that yields great power and has a wide range.

I'd say Naruto is powerful either way. I don't think power is what the show is about, anyways. Many characters in the show don't have special abilities, but look how far they've gotten? Each character is special, and have their own characteristics that make them stand out. With Naruto, he doesn't just revolve around Kurama's power, he revolves around his ninja way, and his determination, and everything that makes Naruto Naruto.

 

But if Naruto didn't have Kurama, he probably wouldn't be who he is today. He had to go through many hardships, in order to be the determined ninja he is. Just like if Itachi hadn't killed Sasuke's clan, he wouldn't have to suffer so much, and become the revenge driven guy he is today. The Naruto vs Sasuke thing is still yet to be uncovered, but all we know now is that, they're basically evenly matched, because they have both improved a lot throughout the show.

 

Kurama and the sharingan for Naruto and Sasuke both took time to build up, and upgrade, so really it also kind of depends on how fast the characters are willing to improve. They're two very different people that have their own way of handling the power they have.

I honestly love Naruto with his SM. I like how he trained so hard for that and even if he uses nature energy, it's not really borrowed power like it was Kurama's abilities (Of course the Rasenshuriken and the rasengan are all his own jutsu, but it's so enhanced by Kurama one too many times).

 

Love Kurama, but I'm kind of over how much Naruto uses Kurama's power at this point. It's been done so much in this war it doesn't feel as amazing as it did, especially since I do miss the Part 1/Pain Arc/Hidan & Kakuzu Arc fighing style. Still have issues with the Sage's power-up to Naruto as well.

 

I understand the message behind the friendship and cooperation between Kurama and Naruto, but I still find it a bit random. I did not see Naruto's reliance on the Kyuubi being overused and enhanced so much like it is now. It just feels weird when way, way back in Part II it was discouraged. There was this whole important, dramatic moment of Yamato lecturing Naruto and telling him to use his own power, not the Kyuubi after he hurt Sakura. It's even more confusing for the anime, considering they literally made a whole arc of Naruto fighting Kurama's control and relying on himself instead.

 

I'm okay with Naruto-Kurama friendship/redemption. I'm just really bored by how Naruto never fights without Kurama anymore (Not that he had a choice with all these insane war battles, but couldn't Kishi have still done something??)

People attribute the fact that Naruto has tons of chackra to Kurama, but I'm pretty sure that's an Uzumaki thing. One of the reasons they make such good Jinchuuriki. Naruto with his own chakra and sage mode alone is already leagues above the average jonin.

Also, while some of Naruto's strength can be attrubuted to Kurama, not just anybody can work with a Bijuu in their stomach. Most die in the attempt.

It's a moronic point.

Unfair? Give me a break, Sasuke posses the most the two most powerful eye techniques in the series. Itachi unlocked his MS, Obito gave him Itachi's eyes, the Sage gave him Rinnegan.

Geez whiz, he's so deprived because his doesn't have a sentient being living inside. As if Sasuke hasn't received numerous assists or that he wasn't born lucky (in terms of genetics). I can just imagine the rest of Konoha sayings screw you if Sasuke complained about it.

It's like Paul Allen kittening that Bill Gates has more money.
