Toys R Us Stores offer a $20 Gift Card when you purchase Batman: Arkham Asylum for PS3 or Xbox 360 for $59.99.

That Toy's R Us promotion easily made my decision for purchasing the game. Got it for $32.86 with a 15% store discount from my friend and trading the $20 gift card to my younger brother for cash. Lack of Joker DLC for the 360 is disappointing, but seems like a fine sacrifice for getting the game at a bargain price. Going to play this for my last week before classes start!

Today's the day my copy arrives in the post!

...Except it didn't. D: I hope it turns up tomorrow. Not sure how much time I'll have to play it, what with the new flat and everything this weekend.

It's ridiculously fun and just keeps you engrossed as you play throughout Arkham. In my opinion the best damn action game so far this year. A good contender for GOTY as well.

Yeah, It seems like a pretty good solid game but I'm not quite sure IMOPO could place it with Halo 3:ODST, Resident Evil 5, and Modern Warefare 2 for this year's award. It may make a chance on the list for this year. I'm certain it wouldn't be on next years line up with: Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, and God Of War 3

Halo 3: ODST and RE5 are not likely to win GOTY, as Halo 3 already won a few and RE5 is just not really up there. Arkham Asylum and Modern Warfare are very likely, since one finally did a Batman game justice, and the Modern Warfare series are just awesome.

end game spoilers --Click here to view--
So a possible hint at the spoiler when you see either Bane/Killer Croc/Scarcrow pick up that Titan vile after the credits roll by hinting at a possible sequel.

I'd love to see another game but this time taking place in Gotham City instead which would also allow you to use the Batmobile and Batplane. I'd like it to be similar to Spiderman 2 where you can roam everywhere in NYC from running through the streets to web-slinging across giant buildings. Arkham Asylum was a fantastic choice for a location to use, but if they brought Gotham City to life in a video game that be amazing.

Batman: Arkham Asylum was awesome, especially with my new PS3 Slim I bought. Maybe this is just the beginning for more Batman from Edios to come True. (At least I hope so) yes.gif If they can make a bunch of Tomb Raiders then hopefully they can do the same for Batman. biggrin.gif

Man the combat challenges are something else especially the Extreme ones. No matter how much I try a henchmen always hits me at least one time messing up my chance of getting two or three Bat medals out of each challenge map and that's all I basically need to have the 100% Dark Knight Trophy. dry.gif The predator challenges were a breeze to me. biggrin.gif

Lead Narrative designer Paul Crocker was asked if a sequel would be made and he stated that If the game sells good he'll make a sequel. With the game already at the 2 million bench mark not long after it's release and even earning a Guinness Book of World Records award it is safe to say their will definitely be a sequel underway. (Paul Crocker please have Clayface and Mr. Freeze in it. cool.gif w00t.gif )

Ah, the new free DLC maps are fun! The first is an endless wave of enemies....watch out for those thin Lunatic ones, they can't be Taken Down.... The other is a new stealth map.
