Yeah, I know, Call of Duty...I'd gotten pretty bored and tired of this series lately. Advanced Warfare and Ghosts were trash, and I didn't bother with them for long. I really hadn't had much fun with the series since the original Black Ops (which was my favorite COD game). Black Ops 2 was pretty solid, and was easily the best of every title that came after Black Ops, but it wasn't as good.
When this got announced, I held out some hope that it would return to what Black Ops was to me, and maybe do something decent for this run down franchise. I played the beta, and surprisingly, had a lot of fun. So I bit the bullet and got the game.
With that said, with a small sample size, this multiplayer is the best that there's been in years, I think. I've been having a lot of fun with it. The specialists are pretty cool, I found a gun that I like early on, the maps seem cool to me. The only problem I've experienced is sometimes it can be difficult to get into a game, but that's to be expected on the first day.
I haven't played the campaign yet, but I will be with some friends later, as they brought back the co-op. I'll also be trying out the zombies map later. I played it briefly, and it seems pretty fun so far.
I'm pleasantly surprised to this point.
