Which is kind of what the canon Hinata's personality did too lol. They had to give her more of Sakura-esque features, like being a "scary mom", to try to make her more interesting but it just doesn't work because she was never like that throughout the main story.

Exactly and I always assumed people liked her sweet yes woman nature because of their own insecurities and such so why give her the personality traits of the so-called b*tch as they would tend to call Sakura because of her tsundere tendencies.

Probably because at this point anyone who is still a fan at this point won't care about an inconsistency like that. Anyone who would criticize a change to Hinata's personality would have dropped the series for other reasons long before.

Same here. The only period in my life when  I read NH fanfics willingly was back in the early 00's when I was still on the fence whether I supported NaruSaku or NaruHina. And that was mostly during pre-timeskip when I thought the door to NaruSaku would remain shut and unrequited, and that Hinata still had potential to grow as a character and form a meaningful connection with Naruto aside from idolization. When Shippuden came out, and from the moment when Sakura started asking Naruto if she was "more womanly to him" now while blushing like a schoolgirl with a crush, I dropped down the fence to the NaruSaku side and stayed there.

I just skim through some to get a grasp on their logic for the couple. VERY insightful on HOW BLIND IT IS, and how disproportionate their hatred of Sakura is both as a potential girlfriend or even a platonic friend. Here is one that stuck with me and I still laugh at to this day. It was the after math of the Pain fight and when Naruto came back to the village Sakura  was homing in to hug him saying he had her worried but he rejected the hug saying she was never there for him and moved on from her and Sakura fell to the floor dazed and shocked. Then Naruto walks towards Hinata who was blushing and he gave her a flower saying that he hopes to be a man worthy of her someday or something along those lines. 
 
Point being, you get an idea of what they actually wanted in NH. Naruto gets a devoted easy wife with a big rack and Sakura gets her comeuppance for not being the sweet childhood love for the socially and emotionally abused orphan. With that in mind I also question what pro NH fans even liked about "The Last". Naruto did not get emotional revenge on Sakura anyway, Sakura was saying Naruto's love for her was a misguided attempt to win against Sasuke. So for those offended by Sakura's supposed friend zoning, they lost their "ammunition" so to speak, now didn't they? Naruto never really loved Sakura. Naruto didn't even realize his feelings for Hinata until it was force fed to him through an illusion and it seemed more like love out of pity than the genuine emotional connection that their hierophants were preaching about. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They only care about the fact she in a princess, Sakura supporting Hinata, the dismissal of Naruto's feeling towards Sakura, and they care about nH happening. The rest they ignore and write the rest of the story in their head which they have done for nearly two decades now.

 

As for the earlier part they are vindictive people that are obsessed with 'owning' their enemies without any regards to how big of a jackass they looks while doing so. Since, it impossible for them to look bad instead of their enemies in their moment of triumph.

Not helped by the fact that Hinata is based around a traditionalist-conservative Japanese/Asian female while male nH fans seem to be largely American/Western 'Progressive' "male-feminist." So for one thing they are not on the right continent to find a woman like that, but their attitude tends to repel those type of women. Even in Japan, males that still support nH are often Otaku so the same effect over there.

I'm not sure if that is how I would describe Western male fans, as I recall some naruhina fans such double4anime supporting trump in 2016 and I don't they would call themselves progressive or male feminist.

I once again bring up the fact that girls like Hinata don’t exist in real life, or if they do nothing good will come out of it. Real life relationships as I’ve mentioned, especially relationships built on actual love and romance is built on an equal and compromising ground. It is not about one side passively putting everything into the relationship and all they get in return is sex, only when the partner feels like it might I add. Marriage like that won’t last. One side or the other will get fed up of the relationship eventually if one of them is a passive timid yes-person pushover. Such individuals have psychological issues that should not be promoted as desirable. Even the current writing for Hinata admits that her former demeanor isn’t the perfect ideal woman because they 180 turned it to be like Sakura when it conveniences the plot. What does that say then? TRUE ROMANCE NH fans said? Naruto currently is completely neglectful of his wife and doesn’t seem to spare a thought for her or his kids, but shakes his @$$ for Sasuke when the latter is a-coming. Not to mention When Boruto is seemingly killed but his adopted son, Sasuke 2.0 in the most recent chapter he barely acts concerned or even fearful of losing Boruto but is up in arms when Shikamaru questions how he can consider Kawaki his child when he killed his flesh and blood son? Naruto has no answer but shouts for Shikamaru to shut up. The double standards here again, is hilarious I tell you. And once again I can’t even be mad anymore for the current pairings, because seeing this new hypocrite wearing Naruto’s skin, NH fans can have their perfect couple, quote unquote. Naruto and Sakura  not happening is THE LEAST of this franchise's issues as it stands

Actually, girls like Hinata DO exist but Hinata as a character is ONE-DIMENSIONAL. Sakura is shown throughout the series with multiple expressions and emotions. Majority of Hinata's character is stuck being this shy flower and her moments where she is anything but are so few. However, majority of women today are like Sakura (rather they like or not)
