I noticed that it was impossible for users to delete their own threads. I think we should have the option to do so if we wish. Just a suggestion I came up with recently. Sorry if this has already been requested.

Guys. If you keep picking on members here I will start throwing warnings/bans at you all. I understand he was a little kid and probably didn't understand what he was doing, but that doesn't mean you can pick on him.
I will bring this idea up with my team (if they haven't already started without me).

Yeah, I think it's a good idea to be able to delete threads. Especially if you realize you wrote something wrong in the title, or if you realize there's another thread of the same content. It would also help reduce clutter.

i think mods should be the ones who need to delete the threads...every naruto site has this policy
simply locking them is not enough when we have some thread spammers on this site..if they are locked and unnecesary on the site ,the mods should throw them to the garbage where they belong

I think it'd give people too much power honestly. They can rule over the thread and delete it at their own will lol. Can be go good but lots of ways it could go wrong.
This!
I feel like if someone literally has a problem with a thread they will simply delete it without actually giving a reason why.

Sorry we cannot give you the ability to delete your own threads. We talked it over amongst our staff, but we see too many problems can come out of it. Some of our members listed a few of those reasons above. We'll be more than happy to answer anymore questions you may have here in the Council Hall.

Dang, I really wanted the option to lol. Threatening to delete your own threads, I don't understand how that can become a problem XD

Well, imagine someone creates a thread and expounds on their opinion about something. That opinion generates posts by others, but they don't necessarily agree with the original poster. So the original poster decides to just delete the thread and erase everything, taking away the right of other posters to continue the discussion because the original poster was unhappy with the results or their thread's direction.
The possibility that things like that could -- and likely would -- happen is an example of how it can become a problem.

Ah, I see... that definitely could become a problem... but is it possible that if a user wants to delete a thread they could ask permission from a mod first who could approve it and then delete it themselves? That way we could reduce clutter on the site by deleting useless/pointless threads while still avoiding the above problem?
