I don't remember if Kishimoto said it specifically. I believe he must have since she got super pissed at him over the ending and he tried to comfort her by saying she was like Hinata, but she didn't believe him. 
I do remember that even other people (I don't remember if it was Jump staff or who) but they said his wife looked like Sakura.

I'm not sure if someone answered this, but I believe it was Oda who said she was like Sakura

 

I would argue that one of the reasons she was hated was because she didn't do much fighting compared to the rest of the main cast, because lets face it Naruto at the heart is a shonen battle manga and most people watch/read them for great fights and Sakura got only three major ones (Sakura vs Team dosu, Sakura vs Ino and Sakura and Chiyo vs Sasori) out of 700 chapters (I guess you could count the time she beaten Pain's centipede, a white zetsu, 50-100 ten tailed clones and Kaguya as fight but they were so small or minor roles) she could be easily disliked by that aspect alone for doing so little.

Not sure how I would of solved this issue in part 1, but there are plenty of ways I think Kishimoto could of included her in the plot battle wise after the kazekage arc in part 2 is:

1. In the new team 7 arc have her, Naruto and Yamato fight Kabuto before he frees Sai and gets betrayed by him and later have a proper battle between Team Yamato vs Sasuke
2. In the Hidian and Kakuzu arc have all members of team Yamato take on Kakuzu when backing up team 10 and Kakashi
3. In the Hunt for Itachi arc show an expanded fight between the 8 man squad against Tobi
4. In the Pain arc have her fight one of the six paths of pain or Konan (heck you could even do it like storm two did or the 7th shippuden opening)
5. Have her properly fight Sasuke if the team 7 reunion like in storm 3 
6. In the war with the edo tensei ninja you could have her actually take part in the 7 swordsman of mist battle and kekkei genkai shinobi (heck you could do it like storm 3 and have her and Kakashi vs Zabuza and Haku and her, Lee and Gai against the other 6 swordsman) and maybe later back up the 5th division where she encounters Chiyo undead group
7. She has a more major role in the battles against the ten tails, Obito, Madara and maybe even Kaguya 
8. Have her support Naruto against Sasuke in the final fight as some examples.

I think this would also benefit not just her but story wise some of the other characters as well:

1. The fight against kabuto would of showed Naruto and sakura working as a team in a proper fight against for the first time with a new member showing their growth that they now can fight on par with Kabuto and later with fighting Sasuke show how team yamato fights as a team and show how powerful sasuke has become while training under Orochimaru.
2. The whole team yamato with team 10 and kakashi fighting against Kakuzu would help build the dymatics of team yamato from the last arc but also have sakura finally team up with her best friend/rival Ino and for Kakuzu would make him a more intimidating as a villain for it would show how powerful he was that it was needed 7 ninja working together to take him down
3. The fight against Tobi would show what team kakashi is like working with team 8 and show us how powerful Tobi has secretly been this whole time.
4.  Depending on how you do her fighting in the Pain arc, if you have her fight one of the sixth paths of Pain or Konan solo would show her growth as an individual or do it either like storm 2 with her, shikamaru and tsunade vs deva path or in the 7th opening with her, ino and Hinata fighting Konan you can have her 1 team up with shikamaru and her master for the first time and give tsunade her first fight since the sanin battle or with the other battle against konan you get all three of the rookie nine girls teaming up for the first time and konan will get a major fight before the one against Tobi
5. If she properly fights sasuke it would probably prevent most of the backlash she got as being usely at this point.
6. if she team up with Kakashi against Zabuza and Haku it would be their fit team with just those two and show her growth since the time she first encountered Zabuza and Haku, if she joins up with Gai and Lee against the other 7 swordsman you finally see sakura fight on par along side lee and team up for the first time, more screen time for Rock Lee and we get to see the swordsmen in action, if she fight Chiyo she can mention how much Sakura has grown since last time they met and remind her of her advice on saving someone.
7. It would make these battles less Naruto and Sasuke centric and you could even have Obito and Madara compare her to rin, Tsunade and Mito
8. this would for-fill the promise she kept with Naruto of bringing back sasuke together and help turn the tide in Naruto's favour.

So I am going to reiterate:
Naruto Uzumaki: His parents are killed, his godfather is killed, he best friend is awol, the girl he really loves doesn't want him, his gets his arm blown off, misses his won Hokage correnation because his brats can't behave, and he is forced to have kids with a girl he never cared about because he gets guilttripped into being with her...BUT HINATA IS THE POOR ONE?

Sasuke gets his whol e family and clan murdered, brainwashed by everyone, gets HIS arm blown off, and loses his boyfriend to a big boobed no brain bimbo, but POOR POOR HINATA.

Gaara's mother dies in child birth, his father abuses him and sees him as a weapon, people threatened to kill him ad he was shunned, but POOR POOR HINATA.

This is why I HATE the American Naruto fanbase. Oh and by the way, the comments in this are not much better. Like they all say "She had it so rough and she is the best anime character of all time." I wish I was kidding. The only comment that is even negative is "Well, the only bad thing for Hinata is she hit puberty too hard and now she has major back problems."

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with the American Narut fanbase. No where else is this "girl" this popular or anything else...and yet, she is praised literally as a goddess. And I thought the religion of Haruhi Suzamiya was bad. This is far worse.

This is why I hate her and this is why I am always so angry with this character. When I keep seeing garbage like this...It is truly official. NH really is nothing more than a pity-*quack.*

Think about this for a second this is a dude who said "I don't know how to defeat Madara."
Every other topic everyone talks about?
Kekkei Genkai? Not really planned. He was originally going to make the Byakugan an offshoot of the Sharingan, but then decided to make it his own thing.
The Konoha 11? Not really much to them. Saw them as background characters and was going to kill most of them off before the time skip, but due to popular demand kept them on.
4th Hokage? I know he planned for a very long time that he was Naruto's father, but I don;t believe he was ever going to reveal that fact let alone have him in the story.
Every other idea in the story he has a "I didn't plan for it, it just happened that way."
But when it comes to NH and SS: the radicals want me to believe that "Yeah, it was all planned from the beginning. In fact, before I even thought of the concept of Naruto, NaruHina and SasuSaku  was always my highest priority. All the bad writing? Totally planned to fool you since the very beginning."
He can't figure out how to defeat his the main villain within months of writing them, but he knows exactly how his so called "favorite pairing" is going to happen and construct an elaborate hoax to show how 15 years of writing was a misdirection? Man, talk about a massive conspiracy theory. It would be easier, and more believable, to say that NH and SS was a retcon because his editors demanded he change it.

I think Jugo's curse mode got reconed as a kekkei genkai, which granted I could actually see being a genic curse from his clan working to be honest, however it was done so poorly you don't really buy it.

Honestly I wish the three eyes remain sperated from each other as to how they got connected to each other was ridiculous. Like how to get the rinnegan by being reincarnations of the sages sons and having the DNA of both being the best example. Wished it just remained as being etheir a random, a descendent of the sages or even his direct reincarnation occurrence. I kinda thought the sharingan and byakugan connection would of later to have been revealed to propergander set up by the second hokage to undermine the uchia I'm order to keep them in check and such.

If I recall I think kishimoto wanted to do more mission arcs with team 7 to develop them slowly and at the same introduce some side characters , but his editors told him to some big tornment or exam arc which is what we ended up with. Granted I think we all loved the Chunin exams arc, but team 7 were not creamy ready for it namely sakura.

I think neji and chouji were originally suppose to die, but kept on like said and only chouji of the two had any real development in part 2. Does feel like that shino, chouji, neji & kiba were going to die in part 1, while hinata and maybe kankuro would die in part 2. Heck the only side characters I think he would of developed would of been gaara, shikamaru and rock Lee.

I think the 4th was meant for a prequel series instead we got boruto.

There is no way it was planned form the begging not when the bridge scene, the hug and road to ninja happened.

He could of just said "I originally wanted Narusaku to become a couple, but I changed my mind and decided on naruhina and sasusaku", instead he nope it was planned al along no matter how stupid it sounds

Say do you guys think it would of been better for sakura's character if her motivation for being a shinobi was trying to make the name haruno known throughout the naruto world? Since her family is just a normal citizens and it could also give a reason why naruto fell for her.

Honestly you could replace Hinata with Konohamaru instead for the Pain scene given the fact he already been established in the arc when he took on one of the sixth paths, you could have him been cocky because it and he wants to save his hero Naruto, only to end up in same manner hinata is in the manga causing naruto rage and guilt that his semi student/admire is possibly dead because of him.

In the movie taken on its own. She could just be seen as a risk averse person not wanting to make a bad situation even worse. But. Then add in all the stuff SP been adding including that she is some all mighty mom that all fear her wrath. And your completely right.

Well what do they execpt sp have been using the same filler plots everytime they have have to come up with original content to fill in for the manga. I mean how many times have they used the princess trope again?

You know I've kinda been having the same feelings about how Star Wars is being handled right now. Like I don't mind that we're getting the sequel trilogy cause I do find it interesting, but i feel the spin off movies are what's making it loose it's magic. 

 

 

I mean as far as the shows go I love Rebels like out of everything we've gotten so far from the curren Star Wars era Rebels is definitely one of the best things to come out from it specially since you got Dave Faloni on board the same guy that did the Clone Wars show I mean damn like we're talking about someone who made Anakin a much more likeable and dynamic character and his relationship with Padme and being a mentor to Ahsoka the deep bonds with Obiwan like wow and make no mistake I've always liked Anakin as a character even with the execution of the prequels. 

 

I mean this trailer always gets me and I mean Season 2 and 3 are amazing, haven't seen 4 yet going to soon.  

 

I honestly feel the new Star wars Movies feel less personal now given how it's a film corporations agenda running the star wars franchise instead of one man's vision (whether you agreed with that vision is entirely up to you).

I'd still argue The Clone wars is better, because it felt like they were willing to take more risks than rebels, but I still think is good.

Anakin just kind of gave up after Padme died. The whole idea of him joining the dark side was he wanted to save his true love's life. After she died, he fell and gave up on existence. He just did whatever. Does this excuse his actions? No, but when he found out his son was alive he found hope again. His children lived and it brought him back from the dark side.

This is sort of similar to Obito if you think about with Madara being Palpatine. A guy is food by a rotting old man that he can be with his love forever. At first he rejects the man because he keeps it real, but as soon as she dies and he falls from grace...he becomes a pawn of Madara just so he can be with his love again.

I would also argue that Anakin fell to the dark because he also saw no difference between the Jedi and Sith by the end of the Prequel Trilogy. After all during the scene between him Mace and Palpatine, Mace went against the Jedi code of not killing and unarmed man when he attempted to with Paplatine saying he was to dangerous to be kept alive is the same words Palpatine said to anakin after he killed Count Doku when he felt conflicted because that was not what jedi should do because of their code. So now that Anakin sees that the is no difference in how the jedi and sith deal with their enemies nor how they cling on to their power, so why not join the side that promises to save the love of his live as that's all he has left now that everything he knows and was told about the jedi is a lie from his point of view.

 

I never really had a problem with Obito's main motivation and starting point of his fall was the death of his love Rin, I think the problem with it was the execution particularly with the three tails (Which shouldn't it be with the 4th Mizukage at this point, given how the mist is still called the blood mist at this point?). I feel that instead of just sacrificing her life to save the village, it should of been the village abandoned her when they thought she was a lost cause and not worth sacrificing the man power to save her, but when they learn she could be a weapon to help the village win the war then they go an attempt to retrieve her.

 

She learns this becomes deluded with the village given how no one cares about except Minato and Kakshi (because their her teacher and teammate) and chooses to have her life taken at that moment by having an enemy ninja accidentally kill (only went wrong on her part and have it accidentally be Kakashi that kills realising what guilt she will inflict upon him in her final moments). Obitio learns this and concludes the leaf village and all their talks about comrades and the will fire passing to the next generation is a lie and takes up Madara offer of a new world where none of this stuff ever happens to Rin, but not before tearing the world that made her suffer down by any means possible.
