Heres the statistics chart that i found online.

http://www.saiyanisl...-manga-in-2013/

It used to part of the big three nows its at its 5th place in terms of sales bleach on the other hand dropped really far down its at its 15th place.

Well kishi showing signs of getting tried of the manga even he trys to end it soon but for some reason he can't because he made madara way to overpowered and other plot issues, having consistent character development that he failed to do so on and so forth. He worked his butt off for years its time to take a break, If he plans to come back as a manga writer he should work on mario i see more quality and more love he puts into that manga than naruto. Hopefully he won't drag mario out as a series just like what he did with naruto.

5th place is still rather good for a manga. its still popular, and people still talk about it. I think the reason why its dropping in sales cause people know whats going to happen. NS is going to become canon soon, Madara will be destroyed, The war is going to end, and Naruto will become hokage... and quite possible have a child with sakura but that part is what I think will happen after the last chapter.

Naruto isnt losing popularity, other manga are just getting more popular. Naruto is still the character shown in Japan. Naruto has been top 2 for years lets see how Aot and others do in the upcoming years and if they keep their spots.

Also I dont know one piece so I cant jugde it but it seems overrated.

Also Kishi is doing awesome, I dont think he needs a break maybe you do as you are getting bored with it.

Nah. Oda is just the greatest manga writer ever. If NaruSaku didn't exist, I would of put One Piece over Naruto a long time ago.

It's dropped by about 900k Volumes sold, which isn't all that surprising, the manga has had some really boring arcs, We had OBito's flashback, then I think almost two volumes of the First Hokages Flashback and then finally the Hokages joining the battle, so all in all not that exciting. Actually looking at the sales per volumes it's not changed that much from last year, the volumes sold around 1.05 to 1.2 Million each in 2012 and it's about the same last year just sligtly less. So it's more that less people are buying the older volumes than a big decrease in the newer volume sales.

You think that's bad though if you look at how much One Piece has dropped in the past two years now that's shocking, specially with it still being so far in the lead. It sold 33+ Million in 2011, 23+ Million and last year 18+ million, that's 10 Million one year and 5 million last year and it's still the most selling Manga.

Naruto itself has not gone down much in sales it's more that Attack of the Titans completey blew up in popularity, and Magi's increased success,  as far as Weeky Jump is concerned Naruto is still one of their Big three.

Also I dont know one piece so I cant jugde it but it seems overrated.

Exactly you don't know One Piece so don't Judge it, it's not overrated at all, One Piece is awesome...For me Magi is the biggest surprise, It's a nice manga but nothing really groundbreaking, it started off really well but it's been kinda boring for a while now, I can't even get motivated to read the manga this past few weeks, and sadly I know a good percentage of it's readers are girls who enjoy seeling the pretty boys who don't ever wear shirts.

Honestly I could see why it's dropped in sales since the war arc despite a few exciting parts has been rather boring with the way they defeated Obito and now Madara has become center stage, but he's seriously overpowered at the moment and with no solid way to defeat him doesn't give fans hope, but we shouldn't give up hope just yet. I'm sure they'll find some ass pull no justu to defeat Madara.

Regardless of it's sales dropping Naruto still has America which One Piece doesn't have.

Sorry but I think the Hinata handholding things have made a huge amount of NS readers stop buying the manga. I know I'm one of those readers --and I also know it may sounds anecdotal. I bought the manga from amazon Japan for collection and to show my support for Kishi sensei. Volume 63 was my last purchase.

Had the manga progresses like the past 5-6 months, I'll definitely continue to buy. It's not surprising for me that Shounen Jump is seems to be making its way to reverse it (girlfriend comment, cpr, etc). These are pure speculation from my side, so, you can take it with a grain of salt.

Old news but its not bad considering its in 5th place, now Bleach, look how far that dropped. Attack on Titan is popular cause well, it exploded in popularity once the western world caught wind of it.

One Piece is still around the same position because Oda just drags on events as long as he feels like. People kinda just suck up One piece at this point.

But for Naruto, its not bad as long as the story is actuall progessing. I mean want to know why bleach fell behind? Because everything was jumbled up after the Aizen incident was solved. Really Once that occured we got the fullbringer and thousand year blood war arc which is curently the final arc of the series. In all honesty, I consider the anime with its fillers included on Bleach to be better than the manga itself because we at least get more of a sense of adventure in the anime, even characters from the fillers like the mod souls from the bount arc, they had a lasting prescene in the anime entirely. Its sad the anime ended in the fullbringer arc though. As far as Tite Kubo's writing is, he just rewrote the rules too many times when it came to who ichigo really was and what his powers were dervied from.

It went from:

ichigo as a human with special perception of spirits gains a lot of powers from rukia to,

ichigo "dies" shortly and generates his own inner hollow but overcomes it to become a stronger soul reaper to

he awakens his inner zanpakto spirit and gains the use of more power to

he trains with said spirit to aquire bankai to rescue rukia while supressing his inner hallow to

he encounters other soul reapers with hallowfication abilties like him to

he trains to put the inner hallow under his submission to become a vizard

(at this point he is considered a special human, with soul reaper powers, and vizard abilties due to what kiskae did back in the short time he first nearly went hallow early in the series when his inner hallow was "awakened" from training before he entered the soul society)

Ichigo goes through at lot of fights only to attain the highest power to take down aizen and lose his powers

after the timeskip, Ichigo is a normal human who can hardly sense spritual energy

he eventually becomes a fullbringer due to "residual energy" in his subsitute soul reaper badage, he manifests that energy into a new power so now he is a fullbringer

as a fullbringer he doesn't fight much but becomes rather part of a plot to energize the real antagonist of the arc, ichigo loses his fullbringer powers

At the right moment, Rukia reappears, stabs him with a sword to bring back his soul reaper powers, now he is back as a reborn soul reaper.

Eventually the junk with the vandenriech on the soul soecity happens, ichigo loses sword and needs to rebuild it

Then comes the most recent, apparently Ichigo isnt a human with powers of a Soul reaper at all, he is a human with powers dervied from a qunicy, inferfused with a hallow, manifested as those of a soul reaper. The spirit Zangetsu all this time "hasn't been the real guide when in fact the hallow side itself was the real one but this zangestsu tried to protect and guide ichigo and since zangetsu is both the sword spirit and hallow spirit, ichigo overcomes this and unleashes his swords real form, that of twin blades we have yet to see in battle.

See how many times Kubo changed the rules?

Eh, I Acknowledge One Piece's Greatness but I don't particularly enjoy it more than Naruto at all. In fact out of the "Big Three" as the call it in the west it is actually my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, I again acknowledge it is a VERY great series, but  it does not appeal to my personal tastes really. And believe me when I say I've really tried  to get into it. I read all the way up to the middle of the Alabasta arc and it still did not give me excitement. I only started to get interested after the time skip.

This seems to be more about comparison talk, so I won't get into it. I think my record got scratches, so it won't repeat again. That said SnK happened, One Piece was lower than last year, not popularity or at least only of it, SJ live (digital) happened, and so on. So can we like let it go? Made it seem like we will get a rushed ending.

The overall plot sucks now and the villains too, i'm just reading it to see the ending if wasnt NS, i would have dropped it a long time ago.

What happened to deep and well written characters like Zabuza, Orochimaru(Part 1) and etc...

The dangerous ambient that Naruto on part 1 had.

I think the concept intrigue them so perhaps that's why it's up there. Plus, it has an end, not to be extended beyond, so I guess it's nothing wrong to follow,

following the *wears pairing goggles, you know, you might be true... and the reason I think it might have something to do is when I recently talked to Megi about the 663 chapter and so on...  multiple fans in Japan [ns] said that until now they have been sluggish in buying the manga volumes, whereas they can't wait to buy the one where the whole naruto/sakura interaction happened... so it might be possible as I said. :)

I agree, there might be a drop in this last volume and even the ones before, but I think it'll pick back up again with the NaruSaku moment. And not just because of NS but the hero is on the verge of death, any fan would want to have that volume... I think.

Well the ranking has been pretty good since the battle began with Juubito, believe it or not. It's rather funny that TnJ got 1st place and western fans, well NF guys, were like wtf. Talk about different standards. But anyway, with SnK going normal schedule for monthly releases and probably other things that I'm unaware of, I think it can bounce back nicely.

I read all the manga above Naruto, and in my opinion all of them deserves the higher spot. This manga has had a terrible year, but 2014 is so far doing OK.

Well either way, none of us counts over 1, so we can't really say if mine or yours is the truth or not. It's just the way it is. Heck, people could argue Bleach is better than Naruto and I still wouldn't tell them they're wrong.

One thing I do got to say is that anime really does help manga boost. I thought it wasn't true but yeah, it is.
