Say do you guys think it would of been better for sakura's character if her motivation for being a shinobi was trying to make the name haruno known throughout the naruto world? Since her family is just a normal citizens and it could also give a reason why naruto fell for her.

I like that idea. Would have been better than having her just being a romantic plot device. Would have gotten rid of the fangirl of her character and maybe she would have been more popular.

Yeah I think that some other motivation other than her being a love sick puppy would have earned her more fans maybe

I said it before months ago, Masashi should had given Sakura an early introduction of admiring Tsunade and becoming a medic nin as a goal, instead of giving Tenten the admiration that went nowhere.

The problem is that by the Time sakura introduced, i don't think Tsunade get planned. Heck i don't think the other Konoha eleven even exist, even Minato design is not the final design.

The kekei genkai itself is not finished concept. That's why most kg is advance element and only 3 kekkei genkai that's not element (sharingan, byakugan, and Kaguya Bone).

That's why it's kinda laughable when he said he is planning ss (and nh) from the beginning.

It Will change the dynamic and it Will lose the love triangle set up. And if happen i don't think Naruto Will automaticly love sakura.

I think Naruto Will become like other shonen manga Hero who doesn't have any love interest. It Will end up like Bleach.

But it Will certainly help sakura popularity .

IMO, sakura need character development, more follow up, and more fighting. Kishi denied any of that and you asking why sakura is not popular.

Was just browsing around, and I'm not gonna lie my heartbeat skipped at seeing that image from the next Naruto Manga Set with our favorite ship , and you know what I wouldn't have considered buying it since it contains Volumes 28-48 (Start of Part II to Pain Arc) the issue? Volume 48 technically ends with the Five Kage Summit Arc start which ugh... I woud've Volume 48 end with Iruka saying There is a new hero risig or something like that. Would've made much more sense to be perfectly honest.  Outside of that little complaint it's probably the closest NaruSaku thing we have so far in terms of merchandise outside of Road to Ninja as far as US goes. Japan I know there is a lot of it.  

 

 

Btw I checked the back of the boxset too and Sasuke isn't shown at all anywhere near Sakura let alone Hinata next to Naruto for that matter.

There's something funny about Naruto being on Netflix. All of Naruto's movies are on there EXCEPT The Last for some reason.

I remember walking in a Best Buy, and found Road to Ninja and The Last next to one another. Road to Ninja was the standard price, The Last was $4.99. To my knowledge, a DVD less than $5 means it didn't sell.

Sakura needed a better character motivation. Fangirling over Sasuke in the beginning is fine, but she needed a reason to be a ninja and a background story to get people interested in her. 

She also needed more to do, especially in Part 1. She was pretty much irrelevant during Part 1. Part 2 helped, but it wasn't enough. Kishimoto was just determined to keep that awkward love triangle going and yank his fans instead of putting his foot down and saying "This is where I"m going". Whenever Sakura was criticized, he thought making her "prettier" would make things all better.

I recall him saying a long time ago before the Pain invasion that he was planning a story/arc for both Kakashi and Sakura. Well, we all know how that turned out.

The second box set use drawing for popularity polling. The popularity polling at that time happen in beginning of part 2 during rescue garra arc.

That's why Sasuke is still in his part 1 self and i think Hinata is not in top Ten.

Originally I was going to do a drawing of Sachi's academy graduation celebration pictures that Sakura mainly took, but I decided to use the the avatar creator that I used for the main characters of my book, and see what I could do. Now Sachi's hair for the most part is the one thing that's going to be a little different than how I drew her mainly due to the hair option choices, but I made it as close as I could to how I drew her.  I also wish the avatar creator had a way for me to incorporate more characters cause I would've easily done a photo of the entire family, but oh well a guy can dream.

Ya and shock of all shocks they don't listen cause it's not peter and t'challa changed vulture or kilmonger but more so the villains changed the heroes. We never see that in Naruto. Heck try the talk no justu on thanos from infinity war see where that gets you naruto.

I think the talk no jutsu was just an easy way for kishimoto to end a fight. Like he couldn't figure out a way to beat the villain so he just pulled out talk no jutsu and the villain would magically change his mind. This type of thing only worked with zabuza and gaara though, it didn't work so much with sasuke or obito. Just came off as shallow and pretentious.

TnJ and it's equivalents are an easy way to try and redeem a character by bringing him closer to the hero's way of thinking, allowing for a more black and white setting. It's something that gets deconstructed more nowadays, like how in Re:Creators it was pointed out that beating people up would make them LESS likely to agree with you. Not to mention how Gundam SEED Destiny used it being torn apart by crossover games.

I kept hearing from the western world that asian countries are demeaning of women... However in an ironic twist, its the male western fans who ended up influencing the ending (sawyer) to the cluster crap we got. I am worried about how we see women (maybe asian women to a certain extent) if Hinata is our supposed standard...

The guy was doing everything wrong in order to win her interest. Girls HATE it when guys are being obnoxiously narcissistic, and talk kitten about their ex for 15 minutes (all red flags). You are supposed to make her talk and not the other way around.

 

Women are different  and they can't be as direct as men when expressing their emotions and especially disagreements. Girls tend to be careful not to hurt our feelings (especially when they reject a guy) because evolution has designed them to be more prone to empathy.

 

A grown up man with an ex girlfriend, he should have  figured that one already... Inexcusable

 

Hinata fans tend to be "nice guys" like sawyermage and Fornerworld who seem to be awkward with people especially women.
