The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe should be titled "Why Madge Arwell is Awesome" for the things she did that episode....

LOL, it's nice to know there are DW fans in other parts of the world, not only in Britain. Although I overall hated the episode, I liked Maggie Arwell's performance.

Yeah, that episode was a bit of a letdown. The ending and Maggie were worth it, though.

How this links to the topic, one may ask?

Maggie Arwell, her husband goes "missing" during WW2, kept it a secret from her kids and hid her pain for a few years. Then, her kids go missing in an alien world, she is faced by 3 soldiers, feigns crying causing them to drop their guns, and then pull a gun on them. One of them says that he can tell she's never used a gun in her life, she retorts by saying, "Oh yeah? Well I'm looking for my children," causing the aforementioned soldier to adopt a classic "Oh, crap" face.

Then, she pilots a gigantic walker through acid rain and, while she doesn't totally reach where her kids and The Doctor are, she crashes right in front of the entrance, braves through acid rain with just a sweater for protection, and in the end, saves the souls of an entire species, her kids, The Doctor, plus her husband (due to some timey-wimey spacefuture traveling), and lands a spaceship just in time for Christmas morning.

If a normal (fictional) mother from 1945 can do that, then someone like Sakura can do all that and more, yes including the whole piloting a giant walker, in the defense of her children.

Plus, even if she doesn't become a stay-at-home mom, their children have 10 or so other Aunts and Uncles and their masters to help protect them.

I don't Sakura staying at home for too long. Maybe a take some leave from the frontline for a few years, take at least a year maybe two from being medic nin at the hospital. But when there kid or kids is about 4 to 5 maybe 6 years old, I see her returning to full active and possibly frontline service.

I hope not. I know most moms in Naruto univese are stay at home like Kurnia, Mikoto, Yoshino but then again there are some who do fight like Iuka's Mother and Kiba's mom as well. Sakura does have unique skills. Ino might be though.

Hard to say on the subject, though Venom has a valid point for sure. I imagine Sakura'd try to be both a mom AND a ninja. Ino and Hinata seem the types to be stay-at-home moms in the long run, and I'd put Tenten with Sakura on the factor she'd try to do both.

I am hoping she doesn't get written as such a character. If she is then maybe her and Naruto can wait till she is ready to settle down. I want her to be great as Tsunade. We all know when it comes to Naruto he is willing to wait for her as long as it takes. If she needs to be a better medic ninja he understands. Too me it is she worked to hard mastering her craft to loose it to motherhood.

Wow this is actually a hard question to answer, on one hand is someone has already mentioned When Naruto becomes Hokage they could have a Nanny take care of their child/children not to mention just about anyone in the village seeing as I'm sure most everyone in the village will adore the two of them by then. However, something about Sakura makes me think she would be a more proactive mother so i could see her at least taking several years off to raise her children, but I sill can't see her completely retiring as a ninja after all the development that has been put into her medical jutsu skills I can't see her giving it up.

Sasori's and Kakashi's mothers as well. I think Sakura might temporarily retire from going on missions, but remain a medic- a village doctor being a mother of even young children wasn't uncommon in rural Japan up to the 20th century. Naruto will be working a much less daily combat job that mostly keeps him in the village a lot too, so maybe they will take turns on who watches the kids each day at work (look how easily Konohamaru had entrance to his grandfather... and it sounded like it was a frequent occurrence too. ) You know Naruto would get the biggest kick out of his hyper kids driving the elders crazy.... Where Sakura would probably take the kids along on home or hospital visits to patients who liked children- and quickly teach the kids to tone down the hyper and amp up the adorable on those days.

You know for some reason I picture Sakura as being like Chi Chi from Dragonball Z. The strong and loving mother, but at the same time very protecting and strict with her children.

Hard to say really. I'm sure Sakura would have a protective instinct to be with her child a lot but also she's seems the type to not quit being a ninja so easily. She's independant after all.
I think she would still heal at the hosptital but not be a completely active ninja until at least her child reaches 3 or 4. Sakura wouldn't go on dangerous missions but still do an odd one either way.
Like I said, Sakura would be torn between her duty to her child and her duty as a ninja.

@Toasty- That time Chichi kicked that teacher out a window because he whipped Gohan then kicked his butt. XD Omg. Something like that would be cool.

Anyways, uhm, I'm sure if Naruto was hokage by then I don't know if Sakura would be allowed out of the village.. And I thought they didn't give Naruto the Namikaze name because Minato had a lot of enemies? I mean, Konohamaru pretty much gloated about his grandfather.. And everyone knew about Tsunade's grandfather; i'm sure it's not much of a secret if a Kage has a kid. Didn't they know the Raikage was son of the previous Raikage or something? Well anyways, I think she'd stay with said kid/kids for a year or two... I feel like Sakura would be enthusiastic about being a mother, haha.

(excuse any errors.. It's been quite a long time and i'm getting back into the manga. Finally caught up.)

I think Sakura would stay at home at least until the kids entered the academy then she would return to the Hospital, I don't see her going on any missions until they graduate. I believe Naruto would help out alot in raising the kids, also who need a nanny when Naruto can preform one hand sign and say thoes three (or four) magic words "(Multi) Shadow Clone Jutsu" that way he can do his job as Hokage and play with his kids at the same time. the only question is which one is the shadow clone the Naruto in the Hokage's office or the one playing with the kids?

@Shippuden Gril: Naruto didn't recive the Namikaze name because Minato was no longer around to protect him from his (Minato's) enemies, Konohamaru had his parents, uncle and his grandfather to protect him when he was young and later came Ebisu and Naruto, Tsunade like Konohamaru had her parents, her grandpartents and her grandunlce and later she had Hiruzan when she became his student.
