mm Not sure actually. I WANT IT to be a success, but with the pacing it is going with I can't see it really. I mean okay, pacing has always been a problem with Almost all mainstream shonen anime, I don't deny that. But you have to factor in Black Clover is already being called a generic ripoff of Naruto, Fairy Tail etc. as is. So truth be told it has to REALLY impress the audience if SP even wants it to be remotely as big of a hit as Naruto was. that's my opinion though, not sure how the ratings are at the moment.

From what I've seen it failed to make a good first impression for a lot of people. What it now all to do is hope that the people it did impress are the paying sort of fans.

I watched the recent episode and other than a small dip in animation quality, it played out well. Though I'm wondering how this Season is going to end since the new episode ended on Noelle just unleashing her Nest of the Sea Dragon spell. Presuming that they want to include the Dungeon arc into the next four episodes to end the season(presuming that the first season is 13 episodes), it's going to be a bit compact.

I reiterate: I've watched episode 9 and I sincerely don't know what whomever claimed this episode was "Vintage Studio Pierrot" is referring to. The episode was fine.

The episode is fine, 
The entire anime however, is racked with fillers which is KILLING the enjoyment of those that read and love the manga or is DESTROYING the hype and expectations of those that don't. 
that said I still freaking love the anime, I just feel it's potential would have been handled much better if it wasn't SP that was the anime studio

It was fine at first but now they really are taking it a bit too slow and need to speed it up a bit.
