Yeah, I hear that, Tricksie. Honestly, I still see Sarada as Sasuke and Karin's kid, given how she looks so much like Karin, and DNA tests don't lie, and how Karin seemed to be hesitating to easily cover up for her. But then again, I don't give a damn about the series as it is now since it's been made into a mess and continues to be one to justify the stupidity that is the ending.

Yeah, I know. Me too. The new series holds zero appeal. Sure, it was interesting in the beginning. But now it's just so far away from what the original story was. I'm curious to see how Boruto turns into the tattooed, jaded adult we got a sneak peak of, but that's it.

But back to Karin, another sticking point in her development is that she is said to be an Uzumaki. So what's the point of telling that (or hinting at it) if nothing comes of it?! That's a very significant character facet, since there are so few left. But Sasuke just happens to connect up with someone from that clan, of the same age as Naruto?!? And then it just goes nowhere?

If she were just a random girl from a random forgettable clan, then it wouldn't matter. She would just fade away like all the other fodder girls. But she alone is given a backstory that connects her to the main hero. Why?

That has always bothered me, and seeing "The True End" chapter with the parallel images, it just feels like NS and SK were meant to be the end pairings. Because theoretically Sasuke would connect to the Uzumaki through Karin, thus Naruto and Sasuke would be 'related.' And even though that's a stupidly trite ending, it's what feels like is going to happen wtih Bolt and Salad anyway.

So why make Karin an Uzumaki if SK wasn't supposed to happen?

And if Sasuke and Naruto weren't supposed to end up related, then why make them the reincarnation of the two brothers?

:bash:

I always felt that Karin was meant to be the bridge for sasukes eventual redemption and by virtue of her being an uzumaki somehow bridge the gap between him and naruto.

Wow!!! I never thought of it like that! But Sarada being SK's kid would have presented some unique challenges and situations. And she would have been a much more interesting character.

As it is now, Sarada is very much Sasuke's child and not at all Sakura's.

Yeah because if you look at Boruto and Sarada, they have no design input from their mothers. If you want to go with the theory that Karin is supposed to be Sarada's mother, it fits because she also looks EXACTLY like her.

:bash:

Naruto had a lot of unfinished plots. Sasuke's team being the biggest.

Yes - I completely agree. It's the only thing that makes sense for her being an uzumaki.

Right - NS and SK could have happened and we'd have still ended up with Bolt and Salad, completely unchanged.

And part of me thinks that was the original game plan Kishimoto had before he just threw in the towel; he was gonna have Naruto and Sakura together with Boruto used as the basis for their son, and Sasuke and Karin together, with Sarada as the basis for their daughter.

I believe Sarada was a part of the plan, but that bananapeel head was like. Not.

Well we would have gotten the added bonus of Sarada being an Uzumaki as well.

YUP like I said, She is just a female Sasuke, that makes a hetero NaruSasu possible vicariously. traits from her (adopted?) mother don't pop up unless it's for comedy. But I really don't care who the eff Boruto ends up with, because wither way is hypocritical on the writer's part anyway. BoruSara is going to be a GD cop out of the typical MC X tsundere pairing to which NH fans will cry foul for  because Boruto is being with an abusive B*%#$ just like they prayed that his jack@$$ father wouldn't go for. Whereas BoruSumi would be consistent, but then BoruSara supporters would say that destroys the established relationship Boruto and Sarad have. LIKE OMIGOD where have I heard THAT BEFORE? :zaru: I will just enjoy throwing these hypocrites' anti- NaruSaku arguments right back at them :kukuku:

I found it really strange as to why Sasuke would smile at some random girl. He was stressed out with trying to get a scroll.
And Sasuke rarely smiles yet???

And he actively seeks her out to form Taka. A chapter cover tells us he sees her as the strongest kunoichi. Even when she may start something with Suigetsu, he never tells HER off, just Suigetsu.

The only time he ever did something negative to her was while he was kitten crazy, in which he wasn't himself.

He thanks her for saving his life multiple times, unlocked a power thought to do the impossible SOLELY for her. In fact, they both unlocked new, powerful techniques for each other. Tobirama mentions the Sharingan reflects the heart.

The moments made it super obvious, but Kishimoto must've not noticed. Which is pretty strange, considering HE was the one who implemented those moments.

He would probably say "it was just a red herring" which shows how much of a joke he is.
